  1. Forsett got the Torrey Smith treatment from Oz. Personally, I never agreed with Oz paying Forsett 3M a year, or whatever, when he could've saved Torrey- Forsett was a product of Kubiak's offense scheme- he was never that great. Still SMH because we have Camp and Elam on our team- I know Camp is a favorite of Harbs though. At least we finally got rid of Brooks and Brown- goes to show you how we wasted high picks on these guys (Elam should also be gone)- anyhow, we are moving in the right direction with these cuts- instead of waiting 3 years to see if these high picks develop (e.g. Kindle), we're finally cutting them loose. that's moving forward in my eyes.
  2. All- just trust me on this. If you all do your research, you'll see that Scott McCloughans last draft last year produced immediate starters. Compared to Oz/ DaCosta, McLoughan drafted much better than Oz- do your research. Also, we will not make the playoffs this year- we have the Torrey Smith curse- should've never let him go.. we won't have a good rush, Flacco might get hurt again with our patchwork line, and our defense is old. I'll also bet that Washington will beat the Ravens as well- that's a fact. If we drafted well over the past 5 years, then we would've fielded a much better team. Because we drafted poorly, we've had to go out and spend a lot of money on FAs that never pan out-
  3. We should just wait and see who Washington releases- they have a lot of depth at TE- their GM, Scott McLoughan is a stud- wish we had him instead. He's turned that team around, and unfortunately, they will beat us when we meet to play- unfortunately, we're still a year or two away from the playoffs.
  4. The guy is 35 years old, so he's going to be more prone to injuries- I questioned why we even signed him, but I know Oz likes to get them older and cheaper... Regardless, it's definitely unfortunate that this happened to such a fine man. Just looking at his jersey number, I can't help to think that our misfortunes have occurred since Oz let Torrey Smith walk out the door. From now on, Ill refer our future misfortunes (like us not making the playoffs this year), the "Torrey Smith Curse" or TSC.
  5. This is a shame- i hope he recovers well
  6. I'm glad Ozzie is starting to take some risks and draft some tough guys- we need tougher guys as this team got kind of soft over the past couple of years- no teams fear our defense. The thing I don't understand is why would Oz pass on Laremy Tunsil for smoking weed, but take a big chance with Patrick Onwausor- he not only smoked weed too but also was charged with felony possession of a GUN. I know the risk/ return ratio isn't as much considering Patrick was an undrafted FA, but in this case, I would've taken Tunsil hands down over Ronnie Staley who was considered more of a softie coming out of college. Regardless, I hope Patrick doesn't have a lapse with the Ravens- we need hus atttude and nastiiess on our defense.
  7. Awweee... poor little Pitta hurt his baby finga
  8. I knew this Trent Richardson project was a waste.. he didn't make it on two other teams, why would he have made it on our team... I think him getting a look only had to do with Oz and his connection to Bama/ Saban
  9. Perriman who? I'm glad this Correa rookie is shaking some feathers... We were soft with Pitta, Flacco after Haloti, Reed and Lewis left this team.
  10. Good luck Pitta bread
  11. I would sincerely hope that at least one of the ten fourth round picks we've had will be a starter. Literally, you'd think we'd at least get one decent player out of the ten that we drafted in the 4th round- only time will tell.
  12. I don't even know why we were looking at Jake Long to begin with considering his injury history- we've had our own issues with injuries and most of our scenarios haven't worked out for us. Are we that desperate that we have to pick up someone that no one else wants? To top it off, we make him try to sign a waiver? We made Pitta do that after the second time he got his him messed up but come on.
  13. Exactly- it's not like we have 20 tackles like we have 20 tight ends..
  14. That would be extremely unwise in my opinion with the way things have been unraveling. Are you talking about the Jake Long fiasco? Maybe you're right- things aren't looking that smooth as of late.
  15. Are you serious? He has every right to decline as well.
  16. A very valuable man indeed as one of the most overpaid qbs in the league- above avg but not elite- he def is better than 1/2 the qbs in the league when he has the right protection/ weapons. i still dont see us making the playoffs until 2018
  17. No offense, but we should've cut ties with Pitta and just moved on- we already have 30 tight ends on this team
  18. I think most teams are starting to see that our first contract players aren't doing that well when they hit free agency for the first time. Its been well documented on batimoreravens.com- so what does that mean? we/ Oz like to think that we don't overpay (e.g. Arthur Jones, Torrey Smith, Kruger, etc.. Dacosta even threw out a crazy stat saying players that have left Ravens received most salary, making the implication that the players they've had are great. .Maybe in reality, these players look great because the rest of the team is so bad, esp with the past 5 years of poor drafts, and in fact they are just average or slightly better than average on other teams - as we like to think we always make the right decision because we don't overpay and since we always write about how former Ravens aren't doing that well on other teams. With that said, I hope Brandon Williams gets his due, maybe we'll value him like a Yanda/ Tucker, but who knosws, maybe we'll let him go because we can't pay up anymore because of our cap situation. Or maybe we'll be allowed to let him go because one of our 20 draft picks last year (what did we have like 10 fourth round picks) will finally pan out.
  19. What is this FO coming to? First we lowball Tucker on his contract and now this for a paltry $1M? I know we've been burned by injuries, ask Perruman, but this is not a way to do business- everyone but the FO knows that. We might as well make Trent Richardson sign a waiver too.
  20. I guess Oz and Eric didn't do their due diligence on Long- similar to Perriman situatio- has Long even signed yet? I've not heard the follow-up after he was supposed to see Dr Andrews.... At least we're learning from our past mistakes
  21. I hope Sizzle doesn't pull a Junior Galette- this team really needs him in every form
  22. Watch Marlon Brown be a Pro Bowler now that he's reunited with Kubs- just like Foresett (who hasn't done a whole lot since Kub/ and his system left Balt)
  23. Unfortunately, we haven't been winners as of late, but I think we'll be competitive in the 2017 or 2018 season- that's when we make the playoffs again. I hope Weddle's is as good as advertised- seemed like we might have overpaid for an aging vet, Oz
  24. - Flacco and backup quarterback Ryan Mallett gave rookie receiver Chris Moore a few deep shots in practice. The fourth-round speedster wasn’t able to convert on any of the big plays, but the quarterbacks are certainly looking his way. WE haven't gotten the deep ball right since Torrey left- Perriman who??? lol
  25. I agree. While I like Forsett a lot, reminds me of Torrey Smith, he was a product of Gary Kubiak's offense. Our O-line isn't dominant at all and hasn't been since Ogden left. With that said, I'd take him over left upper cut Ray Rice just because he's a nicer guy. Uppercut Ray Rice gets a bad wrap for his last year in the league where he had his lowest rush totals- his totals were also a product of a weak O-line.
