  1. This is why Oz is not as good as people think- he shouldn't be given the role of lifetime GM because what hes done in the past
  2. Oz/ Harbs made bad choices regardless- like paying a 36 year old receiver 3m a year who is only playing for us for two years. Also, Oz keeps giving big contracts to players who have a history of injury (Webb, J Smith, Suggs, Pitta, etc..) Also he over paid for Eugene Monroe- lets' not talk about draft picks- that's a sore subject (ahem, Elam- who is also injured)- time to cut the rope with a lot of people.
  3. Harbs also has to take a class next Summer on time management- when will he finally learn? There was no reason why he burned those two timeouts in the 2nd half- shouldn't have challenged the call- Harbs is a good coach, but he needs more players who are leaders- Ray Lewis said this on his way out, and people laughed- now see what happened.. I think Pees has got to go as well- our defense sucked last year too. Or, Ozzie has to go because he's not getting the talent anymore- just because he's drafted well in the past, it shouldn't mean that he has some kind of automatic tenureship for lifetime. It's not about what you've done in the past, it's about what you're doing now- and frankly, the last five drafts haven't been great and who cares if we have all these comp picks if we can't draft anyone good with them- it's like we're proud to have these picks- the only reason why is because we don't want to pay fair wages to some (of course we can't keep all) of our players that we should keep.
  4. Harbs has always loved SSS even before the Ravens. So I blame him or Oz for keeping SSS over our Torrey and Jacoby- SSS is a stud, but he's a rent a receiver and he's gone after this year. Funny how Torrey and Anquan got the last laugh with both having 100 yard games. Funny how our receivers and our cornerbacks can't catch too.
  5. Flacco obviously isn't elite, but he's a very good quarterback- the problem is that Oz doesn't give him any weapons- he was fine when we had Boldin, Torrey, etc.. The problem is Oz and not usually drafting high enough for a receiver- and then not keeping our own productive, young receivers - and the ones that are our own and are productive are rare because Oz can't draft WRs. Perriman who? Come on' man
  6. We can blame the coaches, the players, etc.. for these losses, but we also have to blame the front office for not addressing the cornerback and wide receiver position at all- we should've at least kept either Torrey or Jacoby, but Oz let both of them walk - for what? For a 36 old player, SSS, who is good but also one that is gone at the end of the year. I'm sick of this rent a receiver bs- how is flacco ever going to have that chemistry that Brady and Gronk have? Also, time management, as everyone saw, is also a huge problem- every year. Harbaugh needs to stop complaining all the time, and stop looking like he's going to cry, and just man up and stop challenging pointless calls unless they are truly questionable- this loss is also on Harbs as he called two dumb timeouts duringthe second half. This team definitely needs leadership from someone, I don't know if it's the players or the coaches, but again, Oz didn't address our crappy secondary and he can't draft WRs so I also blame this on him as well.
  7. Eugene Monroe's agent played Ozzie- That's why he got all that money when the market wouldn't have given him that much because he's definitely not first tier and as usual he's always injured- that's how Ozzie likes them
  8. Oz finally made the right decision in not giving big money to injured players like he did with Ladarius, Suggs, Jimmy Smith, Pitta, etc,,, he probably saw that Osmele had back issues and finally wised up about giving big contracts to injury prone people. Hopefully, he doesn't extend Elam
  9. Our rush sucks because our corners suck. opposing QBs can pick and choose where in the swiss cheese coverage they want to throw to
  10. Oz is great at drafting late round lineman and linebackers; however, he just either forgets to draft corners altogether, and if he does, besides J Smith, he only uses fourth round picks for CBs
  11. I'm glad Oz didn't cheap out on Yanda- If Tucker was smart, he should not agree to a deal right away. Kickers are so much more vital these days it extra points being harder to get. Teams will be paying a lot more premium for this after this year. If he hits the open market after his franchise tag, he will definitely be the highest paid kicker- maybe he would go to back to Texas/ Cowboys. If Oz is smart, he'll make him the highest paid kicker now before he opens the FA market.
  12. Since the superbowl, the Ravens are 19-18 (.514) and the 49ers are 21-16 (.568).
  13. Also, the difference is that 49ers have had a coaching change, but Harbs is still around for this crappy season We've sucked recently with talent evaluation and with not keeping the right core players. we just suck now, Oz
  14. Mink, First of all, don't try to spin this story about it not working out for Torrey because of his production numbers- it is working out because the 49ers did see what he brings to the 49ers as far as stretching the field. Moreover, don't also deny the fact that Torrey led the league in PI calls last year- so it's not fair to imply he didn't have a productive last year. In terms of his numbers, and to validate my point, in terms of Anquan's numbers, production has been down because they're trying to covert Kap into a pocket passer. As we all know, because we're in close vicinity to that DC team, this experiment doesn't work - RG3 for example. So please don't imply it's not working out for Torrey because the 49ers are smart enough to realize that Torrey is not the issue but rather it's Kaps issue. So just because Ozzie hasn't given a huge contract to a WR (bc he thinks he can "rent a receiver"), Torrey is doing very well because he's getting a lot more money than what the Ravens could offer. I will never forgive/ understand why Ozzie keeps paying multi-millions to WRs that are close to past their prime (e.g. Lee Evans, Torrey Smith, Derrick Mason, etc..). How is Flacco going to be that trusted relationship that Brady has with Gronk? No offense, Oz, but you screwed up with Torrey because not only was he young, productive, and one of our own (hometown kid), but you chose (probably Harb's doing as well bc it was well documented that Harbs loved SSS) to pay Steve Smith a couple of million when you could've had a receiver that was entering his prime and decided to give more money to a "rent a receiver, old receiver," in SSS over the original.
  15. I also don't understand why Ozzie gives some players big contracts when they've had injuries in the past or drafts players who were injured in college (probably because they were cheaper "value") To sum it up, I could've done a better job than Oz/ Scouting department on whether we should've drafted injury- prone Perriman- I found this article and I can't believe what I read: "I remember at an older age, my knees would just give out just walking in random places like in the mall or something," Perriman said. "And everybody would be like, 'Boy, what's wrong with you?'" http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html If Perriman's knees give out when he was younger and just walking around the mall, then what makes Oz think that he's going to be able to survive a 16 game season? Let's do some homework, boys.

  18. Regarding the draft, we're supposed to have one of the deepest scouting departments, and we don't pay third party scouting services for recommendations--- maybe we should reconsider that. Either Oz or the scouting department needs to be turned upside down. I'm surprised Eisenhower came to terms and admitted recent top picks aren't performing or aren't on the field (Mosely could end up here after being ROY last year based upon his recent pass coverage deficiencies). I also don't understand why Ozzie gives some players big contracts when they've had injuries in the past. 19. Oz is sure great at picking up players who are fragile--
  20. jboy- Anyone on this Earth would take Smith and Boldin that our high school WRs- the reason why they can't produce is because San Fran's line stinks and because Kap = RG3. If San Fran beats us, then we'll know we'll have hit the bottom of the barrel. I thought that's what I said about CLE, but I guess things can always get worse...
  21. Why on Earth would we rather pay millions to SSS rather than trying to keep our own in Torrey Smith/ Jacoby. I know Harbs loved SSS forever, even before he came to the Ravens, so this probably was Harbs fault as well (in addit) to Oz. Torrey wasn't number 1, but he led the league in PIs last year and the year before, and he opened up routes for other receivers when stretching the field. Oz- I don't understand why we'd let proven and younger receivers go to keep a 36 old receiver when we don't have any other experienced receivers behind SSS. It's like every fan knew about this issue (with WR) along with the CB issue, yet we did nothing to address this Perriman would've been a rookie as well and not experienced either- plus, knee injuries are pretty bad so who knows if he'll come back- he might just be fragile like the rest of our team (pitta, Webb, Jimmy, etc..) and who knows if he'll ever be the same- also, he wasn't a sure fire WR like Julio Jones, AJ Green bc he had a rep for not being able to catch balls- both in college and our training camp- please don't pick skilled positions- just stick to lineman- that's what your best at.
  22. What cracks me up is the FO thought Aiken, Camp, and Marlon Brown to be sufficient replacements for Torrey and Jacoby because these guys were catching everything during training camp- keep in mind that they were catching everything against our crappy secondary- no wonder the FO didn't do anything because the trio above looked like the Posse of Washington in the 80s. As it turns out now, without Torrey and JAcoby, there is no one to stretch the field and now intermdiate catches are hard. Also, at one point, we were going to have SSS return punts- now it's Lardarius? With our secondary so thin and crappy, is that a smart move for Webb to be returning punts? These are two big holes that Oz could've addressed. I definitely feel that Oz could be drafting better over the past 4 years. Where is Mosely now? He was getting burned yesterday by the tight ends and running backs- he's playing like Matt Elam now. Stop picking people from Bama and lets start using high draft picks for skilled positions, Oz.
  23. Injuries are an excuse baltimoreravens.com- All teams deal with injuries. It's on Oz to have good backups, and we didn't have any- so let's write about the truth (not addressing secondary/ WRs, etc..) and why we we went from superbowl contenders to superbowl pretenders-- there definitely seems like there is a lack of leadership and emotion from out team this year and last year.
  24. We lack leadership on this team- trading away Ngata and Torrey Smith hurt- believe it or not. Everyone respected Ngata, and he was always good for getting a couple of passes batted away each game- but Ozzie wanted to cheap out and not give these two a contract. I'm not by no means saying Torrey was a number 1, but he did stretch the field, led the league in PI calls last year, and opened up passes for the intermediate routes- that's why our scrubs (e.g. Marlon Brown, Aiken) looked decent last year- and Ozzie incorrectly thought they'd be okay with our third stringers as WR this year. There's not one bad thing you can say about Torrey- he was clutch when we needed him - we don't have these play makers anymore. Oz?
  25. If I'm Bisciotti, I'd be more pissed at Oz than the coaches/ players. While I don't think Pees is in the mold of Rex Ryan/ Marvin Lewis, it shouldn't be all on him because he's trying to coach a bunch of second and third stringers.
