  1. Can we just finally draft a good receiver who is decent and non injury prone? Please?
  2. Camp who? He's on the hospital bed more than he is on the field..
  3. "The Ravens want playmakers to step up on offense, and they may have found a strong candidate." The statement above scares me- this is baltimoreravens.com was saying about Marlon & Aiken during the Summer when they tricked us into thinking they'd be good- but I guess they thought they were studs because they were going up against our third tier corners.
  4. I've got a great suggestion to improve the defense--- just do the opposite..
  5. Wait a couple of more years, and Ozzie will say bye, bye to Brandon Williams too - he seems to let some of our good players walk out the door (ahem, Torrey)- If Torrey was here, it changes everything on our offense. Why do you think Marlon looked decent last year and Aiken? Because Torrey opened up everything for them. That's why SSS also had a 1,000 yard year. Torrey, while it was a down year for him catch wise, the reason was because opposing defenses paid so much attention to him- also, he led the league in pass intereference calls against him- you add up all those yards, and he was definitely a 1,000 yard receiver. It will be hard for me to forgive Ozzie for not doing anything with the secondary (esp when everyone else knew it was a problem last year) and not keeping either Jacoby or Torrey- he really put all the marbles behind Perriman, a rookie who spends more time on the hospital bed than the playing field. Oh year, our best defensive player was Ngata or McPhee- oh wait, forgot Oz said bye to those two dudes too
  6. Why all the skepticism on this thread? Ozzie built us a deep team that can withstand injuries and bad FA signings, we will win this game.. oh wait.. we're not built like other teams like the Pats, Packers, and Seahawks who can withstand these bad FA signings/ unproductive drafts-- we haven't done that in the past five drafts- never mind.
  7. If we're the 14th ranked team in injuries, and not in the top 3, this only means two things: 1) the team isn't being coached well, and/ or 2) our foundation of players aren't very good because Oz has drafted badly/ picked up meaningless FA over the past five years. I don't think Harbs doesn't become a bad coach over night, so I believe it's the latter of the two above. Also, I would not say CJ Mosely is a cornerstone player just yet until he gets much better in pass coverage (plus, he's only been in the league for 1 year)- he plays like "Swiss cheese Elam" when it comes to pass coverage. Heck, he might as well play corner back because he'll fit the way our current corners play today (at least he won't be injured all the time like Webb and Jimmy).
  8. The Cardinal receivers are licking their chops, knowing their going to go against our corners, haha.. Hopefully, they won't throw another 500 yarder against us.
  9. A great GM would never have his team be 1-6
  10. Finally, Ozzie gets it right
  11. We need a new GM- plain and simple. Our last five drafts have yielded us nothing- I think Ozzie will step down at the end of the season. Hopefully, Pees also steps down too.
  12. bye, bye Dennis- Crock is here to stay
  13. We should've either kept Jacoby or Torrey as an insurance deep threat- not sure what the FO was thinking..
  14. The only reason why Oz has mastered the compensatory picks is because he lets all our good players walk (almost every one of them). What the big deal anyways if we have the most comp picks when we can't draft anyone meaningful. You would think with all the picks we had, comp or regular picks, in the past five years, then we wouldn't be as we are now. I understand we can't pay everyone, but we have to develop our own and not just 1 or 2 people per draft. I think over the past five years, it'll be alarming to see all the wasted picks and picks not being fruitful. Oz was great back then but not so great recently. Regarding Ngata, I'd be interested in seeing how many pass deflections we have this year vs last year. Ngata would always be reliable to bat 1 or 2 passes every other game or so. The only thing I've seen our defense bat this year is bat away interceptions.
  15. Good luck, Dennis
  16. What I missed during the 49ers game? I missed seeing a safety on Torrey Smith's touchdown play- that's what I missed.
  17. We just haven't drafted well over the past five years- it's as simple as that. That's why we pick up scrubs from other teams as soon as they get cut. That's the bottom line- if we drafted well, or picked up good FAs, then we wouldn't be here where we are today. Also, Oz needs to stop giving out big contracts to injury prone people: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html How can we draft a player that had knee issues since he was a kid? Said Perriman in an old article: "I remember at an older age, my knees would just give out just walking in random places like in the mall or something," he said. "And everybody would be like, 'Boy, what's wrong with you?'" It was Osgood-Schlatter disease, a common yet uncomfortable knee inflammation among adolescents. The pain level varies from patient to patient and those afflicted by the condition are sometimes genetically predisposed, as in the case of Breshad Perriman.
  18. Did Oz read the injury report on Perriman before we drafted him in the 1st round? 19. In the past 19 years, or however long you want to go back, see how many times Oz has drafted a WR or CB with a first round pick? I think you can count with a single hand. Since that time period, has he ever drafted anyone like Darrelle Revis or someone like Julio Jones or AJ Green? That's what I thought...
  20. I'd love to see an article on how our past 4-5 drafts have not been fruitful. Instead of reloading like the Pats, we unload and try to make amends with other people's garbage.
  21. I'd like to hear Ozzie just say, "I'm sorry- I messed up with Anquan and Torrey. I should've just given them that extra million per year and found money elsewhere instead of trying to use band-aid, rent a receiver solution for receivers and corners. This year falls squarely on Oz and the FO. Last year, we barely made it to the playoffs- wasn't the writing on the wall? How come everyone knew we had to address our receiver / corner position except for Oz?
  22. Oz is probably happy about sinkhole- this gives him a chance to low ball Tucker, like he does to all of our impending free agents..
  23. Feel sorry for John?? You should feel sorry for us fans... John and Oz are the ones who built this team together...
  24. Torrey and Anquan showed Ozzie and Harbs what's up today...
