Sooo....it's essentially a David vs. Goliath scenario.

I'm trying to remember if the Ravens were ignored the last time they went to Dallas and stole the show, which oddly enough was Flacco's rookie year.

A #1 ranked defense reminds me of the good ol' days in Baltimore. They just need to keep on it with a win on Sunday. Beating the Cowboys would send the message that we can fall and rise again when we need to most.

We can definitely beat the Cowboys but all 3 phases need to be working in prime condition and get hot right away. Can't have a 1st half like we did against the Browns from here on out, unless the defense is playing lights out and putting Dak Prescott on his back.

I definitely appreciate the offense finally showing some life in the 2nd half of last game and I hope that carries over to Dallas this week because a win there would do wonders for us. Basically, keep the no-huddle thing going.

I just want Flacco and co. to get out of this anemic offense and put up more than one big offensive play a game tomorrow night.

“Tremendous amount of work to do,” Suggs said. “So, we’ll take the win, but we ain’t satisfied.” Indeed. A good way to start would be putting up more than 274 yards of offense over the course of one game.

As for the defense, well that was excellent for the most part, reminded me of the old days when Ray, Ed and co. were around and could manhandle basically any QB. Pees called a great game except for the last half of the 4th quarter where the Steelers scored 2x when previously they didn't sniff the end zone.

Flacco's performance yesterday was average at best, nothing great but nothing god-awful. With the Browns coming in 3 days, it'd be nice to see him throw more than 1 TD in that contest, or preferably more than a 1 TD every game from here on out. Matter of fact the offense needs to drink tons of Red Bull or Energy drinks, they're 27th in league. They put up a grand total of 274 offensive yards (the Steelers had 3 more yards) and were 4/17 on 3rd down and I know they're capable of doing much better than that.

Just so you know, Flacco's stats for the day aren't exactly awful, they're average, nothing mind-blowing but nothing horrific. Of the 12 passes that were incompletions, 1 was an INT, some were over/underthrows and the rest were ones that the receivers in question should've had the sense to catch. Flacco DOES need to get it together and throw for more than 1 TD a game, because 6 TDs on the year is nothing to be proud of, but some of that also falls on the receivers who need to make the catches, too. Having a 95-yard pass play is awesome and I'm glad I saw it but it needs to not be the only offensive highlight of the day, they play just "good enough" offense, not "let's beat the other team into a pulp" offense.

Come on Darren Waller, now's a good time to impress us Ravens fans.

Fun fact: in the Harbaugh era, only 3 games against the Steelers in the regular season have been blowouts. 2 of those blowouts were victories by us.

So this means they'll score more than 1 touchdown per game from now on, right? Because that would be great.

That seems to be the kiss of death for us every time something like that is mentioned. Commentators will says "the Ravens have never lost XYZ in the Harbaugh Era," only for XYZ to happen one play later. It's basically a jinx at this point.

I actually thought he was still hurt with his shoulder acting up, but then I remembered him making some excellent long throws. Maybe he didn't believe the O-line could protect him. That being said, there were times when he made some really awful throws, throws that even a blind person could make.

Regarding Kamalai Correa, I'm just eager to see if he gets to have more snaps after bye week, even with Zach Orr playing playing well.

If we can't beat a possibly Geno Smith-led Jets, then......

What if the reason we lose is because of the defense?

Can't disagree on finishing drives with a TD score. And it's not like Flacco and co. are incapable of doing so, because he can make awesome throws and T. West can and has put good runs down. They can't be all conservative when we're in the RedZone, though with Mornhinweg about to be in his second week of being the O-Coordinator I expect things to be better, since he's had some extra time to flesh out the playbook. Though the presence, or lack of, our main O-line starters was a difference.

Even with Flacco's odd throwing, the game still could've been won if the D held OBJ in check. That statistic showing how little he did when Jimmy was on the field vs. out of the game was jarring. One well-executed tackle could've stopped him from skulldragging the secondary, or at least minimizing the damage. Then again, locking up a multi-Pro Bowl receiver is a tall order for anyone. Even last year vs. the Panthers, Josh Norman cut down on his yardage but he still found the endzone.

Horrific overthrowing of open receivers aside, I'm hoping this game was the wake-up call the team needed to get that offense working so they can beat down the Jets next week. And it's not like Flacco can't get passes to receivers and tight ends, so.....here's to getting cleaned up. Fun fact: Mike Wallace, SSS and Pitta are the top 3 with receiving yards on the team with 370, 310 and 295 yards respectively. Pitta is also 10th in the league in terms of receptions.

Mornhinweg made some changes but clearly this is a multi-week thing to deal with. Glad they didn't just stop running the ball when West made his first TD of the day. The penalties for the Giants should've meant they gift-wrapped us the game, but we didn't close to deal on them.

LOL @ Ramsey trying to talk down to Steve Smith of all people. That's funny to me.

I'm gonna assume our rookies on the O-line will get better as the weeks go on, otherwise the run game will be as existent as Manti Te'o's girlfriend. That "taunting" on Terelle was just awful and unwarranted. But 2-0 is 2-0 so....I won't complain.
