I was watching the Colts-Jets game on Monday Night and actually wondering how did we manage to lose to them?

Winning 2 more games is the absolute minimum if we want a playoff shot, and those would have to come against division opponents. That being said, I'd prefer to try and win out the rest of the season so we don't have to worry all that much.

If what I saw on Sunday was an indication of anything I'm looking forward to the team making Brady and co. sweat for 60 minutes.

This was the offense we should've had from the get-go, it was basically run by 2012 Joe Flacco. Regarding next Monday, I'm not saying they'll give an exact repeat performance like they did yesterday but if history is any indicator the Ravens are gonna give them a fight. They won't just roll over and let Tom Brady torture them on national primetime television.

If Joe follows up with a great performance next week in Foxboro then everyone should be pleased. I guess he and Mornhinweg need to have an argument every now and then to get things cooking.

Anyone notice that more often than not, Joe was in shotgun formation for a lot of the time?

The most complete game I've seen since the last time they went to the playoffs.

For the record, the Ravens are 1-3 vs. the Pats in the regular season under Harbs, and Flacco has thrown 7 TDs to 4 INTs and has a QB rating of 92.0, with a 65.41% completion percentage. He's got 9 TDs to 4 INTS vs. the Pats in the playoffs, all of which were in Foxboro. So anyone who says Flacco seems to do well against Brady isn't lying. You could argue he plays even better in the playoffs against him, and winning in Foxboro is hard enough for anyone on any regular day.

Question: I was just listening to 105.7 The Fan on the radio and they mentioned Kamalei Correa. I was wondering exactly why he wasn't out there this game or some of the last few, is it because he's shown he's not ready or because everyone's so confident in our current starting LBs that we don't need him just yet?

Frustrating isn't even close to how everyone's feeling. Just like last week, the offense put up a good drive that resulted in a touchdown on their first possession and then they basically disappeared from there on out, but this time we actually won. Every drive they put up a few first downs and moved the ball and then all the production just stopped when they got to the RedZone or close enough to it. Now that I think about it, I remember when Flacco went long and Perriman had a perfect diving catch, only for him to not keep a hold on the ball. Perfect throw too. That being said, I'm glad to see we took advantage of no AJ Green and won, as we should have.

I'd say our offense is "better" than the 2000 team, though some of that can be attributed to the fact that there was a 5-game stretch back then where the team didn't score a TD at all, and still won 2 of those games.

Nice to get the Bengals monkey off our back after 3 years.

And this is partially why he needs another Pro-Bowl nod and a spot in the Ravens RIng of Honor. Maybe even the Hall of Fame.

It's really funny how every year at least one division is just mediocre or considered "the worst" in the league: 2014 was the NFC South, last year it was the AFC South and NFC East, now it's our turn this year.

There is NO reason they shouldn't take advantage of the Bengals' injuries this week.

I guess the fact that we still own the division for now is something to be optimistic about, and it's not like we got beaten to death but rather we lost to a legit good team as opposed to losing to worse teams like the Jets. And our offense is still capable of showing life. That being said, nearly everyone else on offense needs to drink some Red Bull and have more than a handful of good drives per game. That no-huddle shotgun that Flacco is good at, do more of that. He's clearly capable of hurling a ball 60+ yards down the field and we've got at least 2 wideouts who are fast enough to do that, so go for it. And the penalties, my God, they have to stop racking up flags.

If we make the playoffs, the Ravens seem to know what's up and play better, as our recent playoff record would show. We can't beat the good teams this year because we always have like 1 or 2 good offensive drives and then stall every other time, having to rely on the defense to keep us afloat. Odd because in previous years, we usually beat the good teams but lost to bad ones because we played down to their level.

As proof of how un-Raven like our defense was yesterday, I remember one drive in the 2nd half where the Cowboys had 2 penalties that pushed them back to 1st and 30, and then managed to get a first down like 2 plays later. 1st. And. 30.

Huh? Mallett only worked because we exhausted every other option after Flacco got hurt, we had Matt Schaub and Jimmy Clausen and neither one of them did particularly good.

It felt like a really tall order to go to Dallas and beat a legitimately good Cowboys with the type of offense we had, while clinging on our defense to clamp down on Zeke (though we did keep him out of the endzone).

1. It should've been obvious that Jimmy was out best corner on the team during that Giants game, when OBJ was basically nonexistent while he was on the field, and then torched us afterwards as soon as he got injured. 2. Dumb penalties kill us all the time, but the ones on Zuttah were egregiously. Then again there were some penalties the Cowboys committed that weren't called and could've helped but didn't happen. 3. They were good at running until the 2nd half. Before that I thought T. West and Dixon would skulldrag their D all game long. Also, notice how Zeke had 25 carries for the game and no one on our offense had even half of that. 4. Smith and Wallace are our only 2 real playmakers as far as WR goes, Kamar Aiken only getting a handful of catches. Perriman simply isn't there yet. Pitta makes some good catches though, in fact he's got the most receptions on the team but hasn't caught a TD. 5. Really, you can't. True, he could've done a bit more but so could everyone else. He was responsible for one of our 2 TD scores and thankfully didn't turn the ball over, but then again we didn't force any turnovers either. The no-huddle shotgun play calling is apparently what he was good at so we should've seen more of that all game, but we didn't.

They were that....the previous 2 games. Not so much yesterday.

Our defense only notched 1 sack, that is unacceptable from a team that notched 6 sacks in the previous 2 games. I don't know why Pees didn't turn up the pressure from there on out, but we could've easily had at least 3 more sacks over the course of the game. Also, today makes it absolutely clear that our secondary is a different animal when Jimmy Smith is on the field.

Anyone notice how many times Zeke ran the ball, as opposed to how many the Ravens ran total for the whole game? And then the no-huddle shotgun offense was hardly anywhere to be found?

Wanna hear something funny? Zeke ran 25 times and got 97 yards out of it. The Ravens as a whole had 16 running plays. That's awful.
