  1. He was a good 1st round pick, with good production and I can only imagine next year when he plays a full 16-game season.
  2. He was a first round draft pick, and just coming off essentially his rookie season. He needs at least this next season to develop. Either he will evolve or he won't, but it's not gonna happen overnight.
  3. It would truly be great if Perriman developed, became the #1 receiver we've all been looking for and then weaning the team of the WR handicap we've had for the longest time.
  4. So.....in order to improve him, you cut the receiver from the team he has the most chemistry with, over the course of several years? Instead of just telling him not to throw to him all the time.
  5. After reading this, I kinda get the logic in keeping Marty around and my one hope was that he can use these next 7 months to drum up a better playbook since he's got the time now. The fact that other players like him, according to the article, is also helpful. That being said I REALLY hope Harbaugh doesn't come to regret this.
  6. And who to replace Joe? Lots of people wanna cut Joe but hardly any have a realistic replacement for him. More importantly, that's a lot of dead money if we do so....not a smart idea.
  7. Don't forget his tenure as a head coach for the Lions, where he won a grand total of 5 games over the course of 2 seasons.
  8. 3-2 with Trestman 5-6 with Mornhinweg Writing that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
  9. Good, because something actually has to happen first.
  10. Marty's last head coach tenure was 2001-2002 with the Detroit Lions, he was 5-27 in that time period. Before he came here, he spent 2013-2014 with the Jets, and before that he was with the Eagles from 2003-2012, as an assistant and then OC later on. Dean Pees was never a head coach in the NFL. His last head coaching job was with Kent State from 1998-2003 and then he spent the next 6 years as a defensive coach to the Pats.
  11. Funny you mention that, because I did like a lot of what I saw from Perriman this year. I like that he actually can produce good catches, has speed and notched a couple of TDs finally, as a 1st round pick should do. At the same time, he needs a lot more consistency because some days he was doing great and others he wasn't, dropping passes that hit him right in the numbers. Though I guess this could be chalked up to him still playing his rookie season and is learning as the game goes on. Oh well, 2017's a whole new year so I'm praying that he emerges into that big WR that the Ravens desperately needed and maybe even get this monkey off our back when it comes to drafting wideouts.
  12. I'm hoping that someone is grilling Mornhinweg about using a playbook that's actually good next year. Since now he's got 7 months to work on it.
  13. And yet you claim you're a longtime Ravens fan.
  14. That's 'cause Brees and co. have a pretty good offense and OC as a whole and they don't throw nearly as many checkdowns, and their whole offense has been in the top 5 ranking almost every year.
  15. You're kinda right, he had the 2nd most pass attempts in the league, right behind Drew Brees. And both QBs are sitting at home for the playoffs once again.
  16. I guess I'm "pleased" with the offense in the sense that Flacco eclipsed 4000 passing yards for the first time. Other than that, not a lot to write home about. My one hope is that Mornhinweg torches this year's playbook and makes a whole new, improved better one. One that plays to Flacco's strengths.
  17. I can only hope they get rid of this year's playbook and they actually make a new, better one than this year. That's my only hope.
  18. Seems like we'll be keeping Mornhinweg next year
  19. With the exception of Webb, none of those potential cap-casualties would bother me too much if they went elsewhere. Shareece Wright can go and Matt Elam......yeah.
  20. I just want this team to finally rid itself of the WR handicap that's plagued it basically the whole franchise.
  21. Soon to be 5 in a row. It's almost like a rivalry now.
  22. Amazing how 2017 will be the 5th year in a row we've played the Dolphins and the 4th year in a row we play the Jaguars.
  23. Under Pagano as our DC which was 2011, the Ravens were 3rd in the league in total defense, ranked as 2nd in run defense and 4th in passing defense. We ended up going 12-4, won the division, had a home playoff game and were a Lee Evans-dropped pass away from going to the Super Bowl. Rex Ryan's story with us as DC should be obvious to everyone.
  24. Guess we'll be drafting another WR since Steve Smith says his last game will be Sunday.
  25. Let's all not forget that the Steelers put up a whopping 10 points for the first 3 quarters of the game. Then come 4th quarter they went down for TDs on 3 drives and we did nothing to stop them.
