  1. To be fair, Torrey hasn't done much since he left. He's only had 7 TDs in 2 years, when he had that many in just his rookie year. In fact statistically 2016 was his worst year, he had less than 300 receiving yards, fewest receptions, lowest yds/catch avg and played in the fewest games.
  2. That Patriots game we played this year was just agonizing to watch, for that reason among many others.
  3. The corners and Watson I can understand, but Pitta I just don't think that makes sense. We've all seen Flacco's play this year and expect better in the future, but getting rid of the guy he clearly trusts most will not help him out.
  4. I feel more than confident that Matt Judon can pick up where he left off from this past year, so we definitely should pass on Barwin.
  5. With regards to Flacco and the cap money, that's why re-signing our O-linemen, namely Wagner should come first. I'd prefer to keep him and Brandon Williams but if not then we've got at least 3 other guys who can fill in for B-Will if he gets traded. Finding the right tackle or guard is a lot more challenging.
  6. I'd prefer to keep both but if that's the case then we've got no less than 3 guys who can easily fill in for Williams if he's gone.
  7. As far as the secondary is concerned, Elam and Shareece Wright need to be gone IMO. Tavon Young has shown me he can play at a good level but the former 2 were huge liabilities in the backfield.
  8. Dumervil, Zuttah and Shareece Wright are the first 3 names that come to mind of players who can be released without too much worry from me. I feel like Judon or ZaDarius Smith (assuming he's taken things up a notch) will be the ones taking over his spot. Webb is fine where he is.
  9. Also, depending on how well Bronson Kaufusi is coming along, I might be okay with letting Lawrence Guy go.
  10. Out of anyone on that list as a whole, I'd say Wagner, West, Williams and Juice are the utmost top priorities, though I have a feeling not all of them will actually make it back.
  11. Funny, because in Allen's first year he seemed to do fine, despite our horrible overall record.
  12. Peculiar how out of our 11 draft picks this past year, only 6 of them actually showed some production, with 4 getting injured and one going to the practice squad.
  13. West should be able to hit 1,000 yds and hopefully double his TD output by season's end. I gotta ask though, why wasn't Buck Allen carrying some of the load this year?
  14. That would be great if Correa was on the same level of play as Orr or Mosley, and I hope he's had some more time to adjust to being an ILB. Sure hope he's better than Arthur Brown. As for Bronson Kaufusi, I'm hoping he plays at a good level for someone coming off a season-ending injury, someone who can fill in for Suggs so he isn't doing most of the work and for when he eventually retires.
  15. I think Pitta, Boyle, Gillmore and Waller will be the 4 TEs who stay with the main team by the start of the season, provided all of them stay healthy. Maxx Williams might be headed to the practice squad, unless he outperforms one of the 4 above because he's only played 18 games in 2 seasons and has only one touchdown. Gotta like the fact that we have a lot of TEs to choose from.
  16. The main difference being that the Ravens managed to hold on to their lead, whereas the Falcons didn't. The Ravens also scored in all 4 quarters, the Falcons didn't.
  17. As far as the 2008 draft goes, we'll never know what else would or could've happened or how it played out. What I do know is that much like us, their first rounder is the only one left on the team to this day.
  18. Welp, Joe is still the better of the two QBs from 2008, as far as the postseason goes.....
  19. I'm rooting for the Falcons solely because I can't stand the Pats and have no issues with Matt Ryan.
  20. I'm rooting for the Falcons on Sunday mainly because I don't like the Pats, and I'm a fan of underdog stories and I have no issues against Matt Ryan.
  21. Regarding TEs, if anyone of them should go it's Ben Watson at least. Pitta's finally made a good recovery and has good chemistry with Joe, Boyle and Gillmore are good catches when healthy and not suspended. Waller's made improvements. Maxx Williams, eh I'd keep him one more year to see if he evolves more.
  22. Another thing that'll catapault us back into the playoffs would be to score a TD on more than one drive over the course of a game. As well as a defense that doesn't get skulldragged down the field at the worst possible times.
  23. Ryan may be better stat wise, but who got to the Super Bowl first between him and Joe? Even better, yesterday was only Ryan's 3rd win in the postseason and the Falcons hadn't won a postseason game with Ryan at the helm until 2012, ironically the year we won our 2nd ring so the Falcons are 3-4 in the postseason in the Matt Ryan era. Meanwhile the Ravens are 10-5 in the Flacco era. Another thing, Ryan's had several great playmakers around him all the time, whereas we haven't but a staunch defense to keep it up. The Falcons' D in that period has been rather so-so.
  24. Sooooo.....Zach Orr is retiring.....guess we gotta add MLB to the list of needs. Shame, I thought he was Pro-Bowl-caliber material.
  25. Best part is how everyone who is running the organization is putting everything down and setting the record straight. Also like how no one is excusing Flacco for his play while also acknowledging that there were other factors in play for all of their offensive woes. Like a logical person should.
