Here's to hoping the tackles we have left can do a decent, if not better job at RT if they make it.

Pierce, Willie Henry and Carl Davis. I'm not that worried about the DT position at all, really the more I think about it.

For one, in the 2 years he's been at San Fran he only put 7 TDs and had career lows in receptions, when he had that exact output with more catches in just his rookie season. Also, Flacco was throwing to him all the time, whereas in San Fran it was Kaepernick but also Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder.

All entirely dependent on who we pick and how well they transition into the pros.

Or we could get better WRs in addition to a strong defense, solid run game and such and move forward.

It would be nice if we didn't have to fret about wide receivers in FA every year and instead picked a legit good one in the draft.

Doom's up there in age, he only played 8 games this year and his play kinda fell off. Webb is pretty decent as a safety, Pitta's a good TE but blocking is terrible, Watson did nothing as he was on IR and Wallace is pretty much our best WR so he's a must-keep.

Shareece Wright and Kendrick Lewis weren't exactly "good" players when they were here.

So much for Brandon Marshall wearing the purple and black....

Thank God we got rid of Wright, he was a pain to watch. Arrington should be next on the chopping block.

To piggyback on this, I'd like to point out that 2014 was the last time that Ben played a full 16-game season. This past season he missed 2 games, one was against the Pats and the Steelers lost. The season before (2015) he missed a 4 game stretch and the Steelers were 2-2 there, with one of those being against us and Michael Vick was the starter.

Everything about 2015 was awful, every single thing. Anyway, my point is that we have other more pressing needs than a QB right now, and the 3 positions I named are proof. We need better WRs who can make plays, aside from Mike Wallace, we need pass rushers to complement an aging Suggs and Doom if/when he gets cut and we need cornerbacks because Shareece Wright isn't getting it done and Jimmy is good but was hurt half the year.

I hate to break it to you but we desperately NEED another WR on the roster, and a pass rusher and a CB or two. Those need to come first, particularly the latter two. I don't think I need to bring up the 2014 season where we kept rotating cornerbacks day in and day out and eventually that did us in during the divisional round of the playoffs.

The more I think about it, the more I'm not gonna be too upset if Brandon Williams goes elsewhere, it's been stressed that Willie Henry, Michael Pierce and Carl Davis can fill in for him adequately. I'm more concerned about Wagner and Juice staying now.

He's about a year and a half removed from his first major injury, so he's got no excuse to play better this year. I understand him throwing caution into the wind since the ACL tear. Since the 2012 year has been mentioned quite a few times here, I'd like to point out that his playing that year in the postseason and his postseason gameplay in general is exceedingly well. His total playoff record is 10-5 and he's thrown 25 TDs to just 10 INTs in that time, with 1 rushing TD, so I wouldn't really call his great run in 2012 an anomaly.

I guess that's way Mallett is on his 3rd team in 7 seasons, after getting kicked off the Texans in mid-season.

Wallace is our only consistently good receiver, so him staying should be a no-brainer.

To me, I'm actually real comfortable with Alex Lewis as a Guard, but keeping Wagner definitely boosts my confidence for next year. Although, I'd like to see more from Nembot and Wesley too.

But we got Ronnie Stanley, who seems to be doing just fine with us now.

I'd rather we use one of those picks to get another pass rusher, I feel more comfortable in getting a new face than spending more money on a free agent pass rusher, instead putting that money to some other position like WR or something.

This. I would LOVE it if we re-signed Williams but I'm more than confident one of those 3 will fill in nicely if he does in fact, go somewhere else.

I couldn't care less about Matt Elam's future at this point, he's not that good a safety and needs to be let go. Brandon Williams, Wagner and Juice, at least one of them needs to be resigned.

Oh by no means was I suggesting we cut Pitta, only that there's others we have to become probable starters if we do. Gillmore has shown the most as far as quality and stats, though Boyle is a decent 2nd.

The upside to cutting Flacco's favorite target is another 4 guys to pick up his slack in the event that this happens.

Because Mallet doesn't give us much chance. He's on his 3rd team, got kicked off the Texans, has a bad TD-INT ratio overall and the very last time he took over for Joe his second throw was an INT in Cincy. He only got called upon for Baltimore because we had already lost other QBs back in 2015 after Flacco went down, so he was more of a desperation play and even in those 2 games he only played well in one of them.
