  1. Bad news about Joe. Tyrod would look good now in a Ravens uniform. He's the #2 passer in the AFC and #3 in the NFL. I guess we'll find out what Schaub has left in the tank.
  2. This team isn't about to crack! I have total confidence that if Coach Harbs is given the horses they'll come back stronger than ever next year and continue to compete this season with vigor.
  3. Glad to see that Vaughn was brought back. While it was preseason he looked to have some coverage skills and he couldn't do any worse.
  4. Hey North Dakota Raven...glad to have given you some laughter today esp with all the other negativism in today's news. However, I stand by that opinion and he'll prove me right if given the opportunity.
  5. Let's give Asa some more playing time in the DB. He'll surprise a lot of people and seems to be serious this time around.
  6. Bat-mite....stickum doesn't help too much with alligator arms.
  7. Great news. Now let's hope he can make it out of practice without any further complications.
  8. Now with Givens and the addition of Morgan they should have more speed and keep the opponents D from stacking the box. Just looking at Morgan's stats he seems to be a big time yardage gainer when he catches the ball. If so, where's the kicker in as he was readily available for the taking?
  9. To purple & black.....Asa has the potential to cover the WR's and the times he's been in there he has always been around the WR and not chasing them from behind. I don't know what you've been watching but there's no way he could do any worse and would be an improvement in the D backfield. And as far as fumbling you actually think Ross is the better alternative? The reason he was available was because he couldn't hold on to the ball and already made a critical mistake when the game counted. He also can only run north & south and has no lateral movement whatsoever. At least Asa's fumbles were in the pre-season and he can run laterally.
  10. Respect for Smith is league wide and is heartfelt. A Hall of Famer in the waiting. Thanks for the memories Steve and showing the young WR's how to play the game. Too bad Perriman couldn't get on the field because he would have seen close up how's it's done!
  11. When will Asa get a chance to do some DB work? The potential is there and it's not like there's no room in the D backfield. Au contraire.
  12. How 'bout Ghost to the Post. Brings back memories of '77.
  13. Nothing to worry about. It's just Johnny U, Artie and a few others just checking out and marveling at the new digs the players have.
  14. Read that article OzBis re: Perriman.Someone is not doing their job and it's not only with this pick. It may be time for new and fresher ideas. The drafts in the last few years, with a few exceptions, have been abysmal. It eventually happens to the best of them. It may very well be time to move on re: FO & Scouting Dept.
  15. Well, Asa almost brought the Ravens back to a win with that blocked punt. It looks like Ross is up to his old trick of fumbling. Not worth it esp. although fast, he can only run north and south. And the #1 draft pick? Only as good as the ones doing the picking!
  16. Don't really give a hoot what the Cards are saying. All that counts is what's happening on the field. A win is all the talking that needs to be said.
  17. Great news for the gentleman but for how long? Who won't cringe every time he gets hit or is slow to get up. He would be an absolute upgrade at the position(not saying the current TE's are bad)but the Ravens and esp. his family should be thinking about the long term ramifications of another injury in the same area.
  18. You think Smith & Boldin felt a little extra incentive in the game, esp. Boldin? Like do bears rummage through the woods? You bet they do.
  19. Wright struggled in his Ravens debut? You don't say! How 'bout giving Asa a chance back there. Could he do any worse?
  20. Yada, Yada Yada, great news about Yanda.
  21. Well finally, Asa is back. Posters seem to underestimate his coverage skills and look for improvement in that particular area. Also, while Ross may have more speed Asa has the moves to break some returns.
  22. Wright will compete with Arrington? If he can stay within hailing distance of the WR he'll be in like flint!
  23. Well, what you see is what you get. One can blame the D/C, which is appropriate, the O/C for some questionable play calling in key spots, also appropriate, and even Joe in key spots, but the problem starts in the FO and not having the necessary depth. To rely on three thirty something LB's to start and stay healthy for the whole season is highly questionable. Couple that with some high draft picks that are, to date, busts and one can see how these problems are manifesting themselves into late game meltdowns. There are obviously more concerns (stupid penalties to name one) but that's the gist of it.
  24. Do believe Ozzie should be given the benefit of the doubt. We're not that far removed from a SB win and most teams(Patriots excepted)find it a tough climb after that. He's not trading away the future for some pie in the sky hopes and the moves to this date look sound.Let's not throw in the towel as it's still doable.
  25. Chuchu...correction..4.47 Asa.
