  1. If Jimmy never went down we could've been in that game against Seattle.
  2. True but the way it happened was hard for any athlete. He was banged up and the Pats knew and just kept going after him and thee was nothing Melvin could do.
  3. Yeah I just hope he didn't lose any confidence. He can improve and become a very quality player for us.
  4. That's the way I see it too
  5. nice. Great post made for a great read
  6. I thought he was going to be cut as soon as Rice's suspension was over.
  7. He played well before he got banged up. He got picked on by Tom in the playoff game.
  8. I think so too However I want him to get some reps in too though before then.
  9. Arthur Brown was my favorite draft pick that year. I just want to see him on the field. Hopefully this preseason he'll get some extended reps and show us how good he is.
  10. Look at who signed him the Browns. Look at what they paid him. Nobody else in the league offered Housler anything close to what Cleveland did. There's a reason for that. Bad teams have to overpay for players. Right player right price. If Pitta comes back and stays healthy we have Pitta and Gilmore and that actually a pretty good combo. Now if Pitta isn't back or ready at the start we still have Gilmore and whomever we draft or pick up after June 1 cuts.
  11. I agree with that. I'd wait until after the draft before even thinking about Crabtree. There might be some after draft cuts that may give us some more options.
  12. I don't want Crabtree at all. He could be free and I wouldn't want him. I don't like his attitude and he really lost a step after his injury. He was never the fastest guy to begin with. If you have SSS, Crabtree, and either Marlon brown or Campanaro. Teams are stacking the box because none of our WR's can scare them deep. I'd rather just draft two WR's one more for possession with speed like Strong and the other a pure blazer. I think Marlon brown is a fine WR and he gets better with more reps. I think we need a deep threat to keep teams off balance and give Joe a reason to throw the deep ball.
  13. I'd like to sign Yanda to allow him to retire a Raven. Osemele will be too expensive IMO. I think that's why we continue to grrom Urshel to take over that LG spot. We'll also draft another interior lineman to keep our O-line stocked. We'll probably get a pretty good compensatory pick for Osemele to help lessen the sting of losing another good player.
  14. I really wanted Chandler. He might've been a pro bowler with his height and catching ability in our offense.
  15. According to Aaron Wilson of Ravens Insider it's a two year deal averaging roughly 2 million a year.
  16. The last thing we used to ever worry about was someone throwing the ball deep on us. These last two years every time I saw a QB throw the ball deep it was always completed for a big gain or touch down. I just want the occasional pass break up now. No more deep completions from our back end. I hope Hill and Lewis are the answer back there.
  17. I made a thread about Jimmy Smith after his second year. I was wrong on him. I'm not going to make that same assumption for Elam. I'll give him a third season to see where he falls. If he has a bad 3rd season or regresses then I believe he's a bust. If he gets cut in training camp that'll also answer the question.
  18. I meant that in regards to what we paid him real minimal. If Jimmy, Webb, Asa, and Melvin all come back and play well he's just depth. If we draft a CB or sign a vet I think Levine is ST only if not cut. If Asa gets hurt or Webb cut then Levine will play a lot.
  19. I'm pretty sure it was real minimal. He's signed for depth possible a dime DB or is just a camp body that will get cut in training camp.
  20. He is overrated. However he does a good job at pressing so he doesn't get beat deep alot He does get PI's but is a solid tackler. If he came at a decent price I'd be all for it. If he wants to get paid I'd pass. Jimmy, Webb, and Browner would be a nice three with Asa on dime and doing return work.
  21. Are you serious? How is this even possible? I don't believe someone can be that stupid.
  22. I get what your saying and i agree with you. all I'm saying is if all you see is wrong as a child but are told that it's right. When you grow up you will think it's right. How many parents tell their kids their own politics, rhetoric about certain races or classes of people, certain ways to do things. When that child grows up he more likely than not does what his parents told him. It's rare to see a republican father with democratic children. I'm just saying you do what your taught doing for the most part. In some cases when you have a smart individual such as yourself and you are able to recognize right from wrong. You grow up and change your childrens life by not completing the cycle. i have many friends who have been whipped and don't spank their children. I have others who were and do but modified it to be more appropriate in their eyes. I don't have any children yet but i was spanked as a child nowhere near the level AP did. My younger brother though has yet to receive a spanking in his life. We both turned out fine so I know there are other ways to discipline a child from what I received. i wasn't trying to defend him I was just stating how it may have become engrained in his head.
  23. If AP had your parents he would've learned that way of disciplining. He then would've used this way of disciplining. He learned the brutal way of switches and belts. He used the way he was taught. I think he needs to talk with a professional and get other disciplining ideas in his head. He's probably a lot stronger than his parents were so he inflicts more damage than they did. It's horrible to have your own child afraid of you. It should never be that way. He has to learn a new way so that his children get to have their dad in their lives and not fear him. It's possible that he doesn't know or think what he did was wrong as he wasn't doing it out of malice but out of what he thought was the correct discipline. You can't defend the childs injuries as he just went too far. i don't think his intent was to cause an open wound or bruising. He has to learn a new way and hopefully get help in learning how to discipline his own child achieveing the goal he wants without injuring his child.
  24. Out of all the stories of these guys he's the one who should've been the first to be suspended or placed on this list. He is actually convicted of the crime. Now I did hear that in Carolina when you appeal the crime it marks you as innocent until the case is heard again. McDonald of the 49ers is next to be placed on this. Irsay of the Colts should be on this list as well until his case is finalized.
