The Chargers have to be one of the lousiest run teams in the league.

The team, that fired Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season? The organization, that has wasted Rivers carreer? No way!

It was a large debate under the Bush administration to the point that they put an executive order out that mandated zero usage of embryonic stem cells.

Of course, Obama raised this order and Yamanaka was actually conducting his research in 2012. I never got the ethics of the debate anyway since women knowingly donate their eggs to this research for medical advancements.

Most of that research was done in Japan. It has nothing to do with the Obama administration. First IPSs were created as early as 2006. Yamanaka got a Nobel Prize 2012, that's all. You don't need actual embryonic material to research IPS, that's the point. They come from adult cells.

The reason why it was controversial is, that it involved the destruction of an embryo. Whether the mother agrees to the research or not, some people will have a problem with experimentation on what can be considered a human being at an early stage of development.

It's controversial to people, so I don't think you'll hear a ton on it

The research on Embryonic stem cells used to be a big debate since it's arguably unethical, but the whole thing died down once Shinya Yamanaka discovered Induced pluripotent stem cells making research on embryonic stem cells largely unnecessary.
