  1. Team believes in Wagner at RT. Don't know why fans are crying about offensive line.

Team believed in many players on offense last year and then we had alot to cry about.

Defense gets all the attention and Flacco has to make due with the rest and then he's to blame when our offense is underwhelming? I dunno. I don't have to like the draft I guess, it just has to work, but it seems to me, that we've done a much better job helping out the defense last year than we did this year helping out the offense.

  2. I know the defensive coaches are very happy with this draft, but Gary Kubiak and company might have to wait next year.

That's what we said last year. -_-

Our biggest weakness coming into the draft was the offense. That's were new players could've made the biggest impact for the team. Instead we just made the defense even better, which is nice, but you've got to adress all phases of the game, not just the defense.

Our team pretty much leaves the draft, the way it entered it. Heavily geared towards the defense.

  3. I don't want to hear anything about our offense this coming season. Nary a word. There isn't an impact WR left on the board and any OL pick will be hit or miss at this point too. Ozzie & company gave them none of the help they promised when they talked about "building the offense like we did the defense."

If the offense sucks in 2014 - go tell Ozzie about it.

I understand that the first 3 picks were "good value", but even if they all work out, it won't make a huge impact on the team, because they will end up contributing to a part of the game, that the Ravens didn't have huge problems with. The offense struggled alot last season and that's where we could've made the biggest impact on the team as a whole.

I don't think we became a much better team through the draft than we were before it. :(

  4. I really thought, we could improve the offense past the patch up job, that we gave it this offseason in this draft. Instead we only improved the defense, which was already doing fine such as it was. I guess we're expecting much from the old guys, who are on their last leg and a couple untested players.

I really hope that gamble works out for us, because I'm very sceptic after last season.

  5. Surprisingly with my love affair for Brown and Beckham Jr I'm not mad at this pick. I think Mosley signifies that we may very well be switching to a 4-3 more than a 3-4 like the past. I'm okay with this. I just want Marqise Lee! Please, God, let it happen!

At some point Ozzie needs to find Flacco some help, but the lack of quality safeties is concerning. They just all started flying off the board fast after we made our choice.

  6. I absolutely Agree, I hope he works out as well, But the only thing that is gonna help that is being able to Sure up the Back end of our Defense. I have always liked Omar Brown (reminds me of Ed Reed, always around the ball) But if we can snag Derek Ward that would really help, We still need some help on the Offensive side of the ball

A first round pick, a second round pick and a 4 year contract just to sure up the ILB position. That's alot of investments into a part of the defense, that is losing importance in todays league. If Mosley can be that leader of the defense, then I'll be glad we picked him, but I was already grinding my teeth last year, when we passed over Keenan Allen for Arthur Brown and hoped, that atleast we would've "solved" the ILB position with that pick. I hope it's understandable, that I am a bit upset about the pick. I'm still gonna cheer for everyone wearing that Ravens uniform ofcourse.

  7. Picking an ILB in the middle of the first round is a little rich. Mosley basically needs to play like a Patrick Willis or Luke Kuechly to warrant that selection. Personally, I think Alabama players are more products of the Saban system and turn out to be average in the NFL, but I do hope he proves me wrong now that he is a Raven. Good luck CJ.

  8. We invested way too much in the ILB position. I was angry that we picked A. Brown over Keenan Allen. Now, it seems like an even more wastefull pick.

Why get Joe some weapons? It's not like we signed him to a big contract...oh wait!

  9. Gotta love the excitement Steve feels for his new team:

“To get 1,000 yards, I don’t think it’s impossible,” Smith said. “But for me to get 1,000 yards, Torrey [smith] to get 1,000 yards and Ray Rice to get 1,000 yards and maybe Jacoby and whatever wide receivers, I think it’s doable. Obviously with [Dennis] Pitta, I say why not all of us? Be the 1,000-yard club back when they used to have those clubs.

You heard it here first! Joe Flacco will throw for 5000 yards easy.

  10. Why did I watch that show for so long? Outside of Barney and Marshall, none of the characters were likeable.  Ted is annoying, Lily is overly dramatic and manipulative, and Robin is just a B.  I'm usually a big guy on characters, it's why I can forgive the flaws of something like the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movies.

It's decided though, TNG is next as soon as I'm caught up on Wallander, which is another phenomenal show BTW.

The casting was great, imho. I agree with all that you said about the characters not being likable, but I do think that the actors just really meshed together well and made the characters work as a group, eventhough I didn't like 3/5th of the group either (My 3 would be Barney (I know he is a fan favorite, but I'm just not buying the "likeable womanizer"-trope), Lily and Robin).

I thought Ted worked well, by being fairly bland and "fairly" inoffensive, as a grounding character of the show, even if it's creepy that he told his children about all of his "romances" he had, including one-night stands and attempted threesomes, which really destroyes his portrayal as a "hopeless romantic".

Man...now that I read my own thoughts about those characters out loud to myself, I wonder why I watched it for so long also. Those actors did one heck of a job to make that stuff work.

Do you know, a spin-off is in the work called "How I met your Dad"? No, it isn't a show from the perspective of the mother, that could've potenitally saved the HIMYM retroactively and would've made too much sense.

  11. I want someone to do a breakdown of her screentime, especially the screentime with Ted.  The overarching story of the show was stupid and pointless.

It's funny to talk to you about this, when you have an avatar from a TV show, that actually had a great ending. "All good things..." was an awesome episode. One of the Top 10 all-time Next Gen episodes, imho.

  12.

What's the point of the show if he winds up with Robin?  And she's such an unlikeable character as it is.

Nevermind that. What's the point of the show's title, if he winds up with Robin? "How I met your mother"? What? Loved the unexplained illness, that useless character died from, btw. The writers really worked hard on that one.

  13. HIMYM stayed on the air for too long. The characters became parodies of themselves going through the same/similar events over and over again.

I've seen the finale and I thought it was awful for reasons, that I obviously can't explain without spoiling anything for anyone. Good luck in finding anything redeeming in this mess for anyone, who is yet to see it. Ugh.

  14. There's some upside, he's probably a better scheme fit here.

40 Yrd Dash in 4,99 sec

35 reps on the bench press

    26,5 inch vertical

20 Yrd Dash in 4,54 sec

    3-Cone drill in 7,59 sec

He does seem to fit what Castillo/Kubiak want to do with the Ravens OL.

  15. Then again, Jacoby Jones fumbled the football during his first punt return and play in his first postseason game. The Texans thought he was "useless" and expendable. Surely, he never saw postseason success after that, right?

NOTE: Lame example; but, you get the idea. One team's trash is another team's treasure...

I just don't want to see this ever again:

  16. Kendrick Lewis is officially off the market

Texans signed FS Kendrick Lewis, formerly of the Chiefs.
Those snickers you hear are coming from Chiefs fans who badly wanted Lewis to leave Kansas City after four unsuccessful seasons as a starter. Lewis, 26 in June, would be better off as a third safety and special teamer. In Houston, he's reuniting with old Chiefs DC and head coach Romeo Crennel. The Texans are believed to be mulling the release of longtime FS starter Danieal Manning. Mar 21 - 4:39 PM
