The best 11 defenders will earn their way on the field.
Brookes will probably stay on the roster for atleast one more season. Too much potential, not enough time to learn the position. Elam on the other hand. I feel really sorry for the guy, but he's just not good enough. Maybe a change of scenery will help him improve.

Well, we need Beachum more than Wallace.
2 minutes ago, GrimCoconut said:Moron.
You're right. That guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Lets see, if we can land Beachum now. If we get Weddle and Beachum, I'll consider this offseason a massive success.
Can we afford to cut Webb with our lack in CB depth?Just because he and the Ravens claimed he'll transition to safety doesn't mean he HAS TO transition to safety.

You know how it is. Everyone is anxious, no one wants to admit how much it would hurt to see him pass on us. I was afraid he'd sign with the Pats also. Glad to be wrong. ![]()
Just now, -Truth- said:I can almost guarantee that cutting Hill isn't remotely close to being an option at this point.
Yeah, that would be crazy Hill was the only bright spot on the secondary, maybe even our whole defense. If anything, the Ravens have to try and lock him up for good.
I have a huge problem with this signing. You can't really yell his name well like REEEEEEED. This will be hard to get used to, but I'll manage. ![]()

Awesome. Our secondary got a little better. Not alot better, but after last season I take every little bit of help that I can get.
Welcome to Bmore Eric Weddle and Eric Weddles beard.
1 minute ago, hn68wb4 said:eh, I don't know if I buy that, Pats don't really have much of a need for him and they can't pay him as much as plenty of other teams that sound interested.
He said he wanted to go to a contender. I hate the Pats, but they are in the race for the SB title every year. It's a good fit. I'd just hate his guts, if he takes it. ![]()

Okay. So, second question has he even showed interest? I see quotes floating around about the Pats and Steelers. What about Balt?
8 minutes ago, Deflated Football said:Apparently Weddle seems inerested in signing with New England. Great.
Has he even visited the Ravens yet?
12 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Free agent WR Mike Wallace scheduled to visit Baltimore on Monday. Ravens' interest still contingent on Wallace accepting a low-budget deal.
Pfft, does he even have much of a choice? He got overpaid once. He should be happy a team with a legit franchise QB is even interested. His numbers might actually improve and some other dumb team might, once again, pay him more than he is actually worth.
Weddle is still a great safety. Maybe not as good as he used to be, but he would make the Ravens secondary better. I hope we can get him.

Yup, eventually the "well, it's the Browns"-excuse won't work. Nothing is build to last, even losing streaks.
1 hour ago, GrimCoconut said:There's always the draft. They haven't lost that many OL, just Mack and Schwartz. I can see Browns going WR, OL early. The Draft is loaded in OL. Lol maybe they pick Treadwell at #2. It is Cleveland, after all.
Teams don't stay bad forever. NE used to be the joke of the NFL way back and don't forget how bad the Ravens were with drafting QBs. I dread the day Joe retires, to be honest. I have the feeling the Browns will adress the QB position later and take the best player available. I hope, I'm wrong though.
2 1st round draft picks for Goff? I believe it, when I see it
.
1 hour ago, Jacquouille said:Well, with Malik Jackson to Jax, they won't take Buckner, but rather Jack.
In other words, we will certainly have to choose between Buckner and VH3
I'd take VH3.
4 minutes ago, JO_75 said:I think we were already screwed with Dallas and SD sitting in front of us. Jacksonville is out of the Buckner/Bosa mix since they just added Jackson and have Fowler coming back. If Cleveland acquires Kaepernick or some other QB, then Bosa without a doubt will go to Cleveland. Browns will see it as a way to boost ticket sales drafting the local guy and he would be BPA. Then SD would take Buckner meaning we miss out on both. In this scenario:
- Titans take Tunsil
- Browns take Bosa
- Chargers take Buckner
- Cowboys take Ramsey
- Jaguars take Jack
Leaving us potentially with 2 options.... Stay at 6 and take Leonard Floyd. Second option in this case would be to trade down for Noah Spence while acquiring more picks. So we need Denver or the Jets to acquire Colin otherwise we lose Bosa and Buckner instead of having the option of at least 1 if Wentz went second overall.
The fact, that CLE wants to acquire Kaep tells me, that they are not interested in the QBs of this draft class and will probably go with a playmaker in the first. I don't think not getting Kaep will change any of that.
If the draft shakes out as you predict, I'd probably stay put and take VH3.

Offensive line: Hurst replaces KO, Jensen moves to tackle behind Monroe.

How about no?

Because Cleveland
You're sure it's not: Because wishful thinking?
Don't get me wrong, I want them to do it, but I still doubt it.
4 hours ago, BOLDnPurPnBlacK said:Good point, didnt think of that. Although the Jags still need a corner.
IMO, Browns are definitely taking a QB. They didnt even get involved in Bradford or Osweiler and havent heard them being involved in Fitzpatrick or anyone else. Think Hue wants to get his guy and groom him.
The 2nd overall pick for a guy to develop is very expensive. Why not get an impact player in the 1st round, who contributes immediately and get a guy like that in the 2nd or even later round? He'll sit on the bench anyway.

Miami still making those great off-season moves as I see. You build through the draft, not FA. When will they learn?

I hope we can land Beachum, but it will be hard with the Jags showing interest.
