I'm not trying to predict their next move, I'm just saying what they probably should do. Hue is a good HC, but their roster is garbage. They need to give him time.
37 minutes ago, 52520Andrew said:Maybe we should change their name to the Cleveland 76-ers?
What else should they do? This years QB class is underwhelming. Goff or Wentz with the 2nd overall pick is a mistake, imho. Maybe gamble on Hackenberg in the 2nd round. Who knows, maybe he is a diamond in the rough and Hue can get him back on track. Not sure, if his inaccuracy can be blamed on just that OL, though. I'd still take Ramsey, if I am them. ![]()

Maybe for the best. Give Hue 5 seasons, suffer through a couple really bad years until a legit Andrew Luck-type QB come around and then you're the one with the top over-all pick.
I don't agree with this decision at all. He was a good player, imho and he managed to stay out of trouble, when he played for us. Unless we can land Ramsey, I highly doubt that, or expect much from Elam or Webb (which is a gamble), this move doesn't make sense to me at all.

In my opinion Aiken will not repeat. And SS will not be the same at 37 coming off an Achilles injury. Wallace was thrown away like unwanted trash by the Vikings. Perriman is unproven as well. That group of weapons is no reason to get excited. Even if he can run sub 4.4 these days there is no go to guy
Your post is a bit harsh, but there is something to it. Did we really change our offseason strategy to previous years, when it comes to adressing the WR position? We're still filling the roster up with ageing veterans and roleplayers. Our WR corps is better than last years, but our group was horrible, so that's not that big of a deal. We basically just had Aiken. I can already tell, that we'll pick a WR late and this year I wouldn't even have any right to complain, since this years WR prospects are not that great. Unless Perriman, who is for now just a workour warrior, who lit it up during his proday, turns out to be a star, our group is kind of mediocre.
It's amazing what a few million dollars can do. :P

I wouldn't. Fitz > SSS
2 minutes ago, sflegend89 said:With all these new weapons I think he will easily. Wallace, Perriman, Watson are all important pieces for this offense. Carson Palmer threw for 4,600 coming off an ACL tear this year. I think Flacco has a big in year in store for him, those ACL's aren't nearly the big deal they used to be, especially for a pocket passer like Joe.
Palmer has Fitz.
5 minutes ago, Sherly_Tebow said:So I'm gonna ask, does Flacco finally hit 4,000 passing yards with this offense?
Trestman is a pass-happy OC. Even, if he forces himself to run more, he'll still will make Joe throw plenty. With Wallace, Smith and Aiken we atleast have some, albeit ageing, weapons to throw the ball to. If BP turns out to be good, he and Wallace will improve Joes YPA greatly. Flacco finally will be able to use his main weapon more often, the deep ball, which should change our offense.
Welcome to the winning side of Ravens-Steelers rivalry. ![]()

He? You mean Perriman or Campanaro? I guess, it has to be both. Gosh, last years receiving corps. Receiving corpse more like it. ![]()

We still need atleast a solid backup for Monroe. Monroe and Hurst are not enough to protect Joes blinside for a whole season. OT and CB are the two top positions I see the Ravens adressing the draft early. Followed up by WR and a pass-rusher of course.
I hope this gives Joe more confidence to throw long. Some of those underthrown passes last season were super annoying. Wallce isn't the type of guy, who gets a ton of contested throws, but he can go long.
Just now, pep_meister said:i agree unless doctson or coleman fall to us in rd2 i don't see us taking a WR earlier than rd 3.
It's a shame, that we're lacking quality receivers this year. Not much talent to be had in the draft and as pumped as everyone is about the Wallace signing, I still feel very uncertain about our WR group. Lets pray BP turns out to be actually legit. I wish I could've atleast seen one preseason game out of him. ![]()
Just now, RavensFan34950 said:I'm all for drafting a receiver high as long as its not our first pick.
I can't see us doing that ,unless we trade back and pick Judge Tread in the middle of the first. This isn't 2014. This draft class isn't talented enough.
3 minutes ago, RavensFan34950 said:We have a lot of speed at receiver with Perriman and Wallace now. Plus Smitty and the TEs we have, Flacco will be in heaven now.
We still need to draft a WR, possibly early. Ageing veterans, cast-offs and previously injured players won't get us far. Still, a decent addition.
3 minutes ago, usmccharles said:We don't really need a "star" receiver, we just need role players in my opinion, like our SB team. Torrey was a great deep threat but that's about it, not a elite WR. Boldin was a great move the chains guy, but not elite WR, Jacoby was almost irrelevant as a WR, but he came up big a couple times, but he was an elite KR. None of those WRs are an elite talent, but together they formed a great corps and helped us do what we did that year.
If we went into next year with SSr, BP, Wallace, Aiken I would be more than satisfied.
They formed a great corps once during one playoff run and then either disappeared back into irrelevancy or wanted way too much money than they were worth.
3 hours ago, usmccharles said:considering we are thinking of bringing in Wallace...I would say they seem to be addressing it
Would be nice to get Joe a star receiver in his prime, but unless BP turns out great, the chances for that are slim.
4 minutes ago, pep_meister said:Hurst is a terrible tackle. Not sure how they even keep him on the 53 man. He's a terrible liability for your 120 million dollar quarterback. I would hope Monroe sticks around because obviously he's good when healthy. i think its way too early to cut him.
I feel like Hurst is one of the worst NFL tackles to ever see game time action let alone a lot of it,
If we can't land Beachum, getting a good backup for Monroe will be really important. Not much there in FA unfortunetly, unless we really like injured and aging tackles.
8 minutes ago, omar586 said:how about we try out HURST as LG
Joe is coming off an injury. Is this really the time for experimentation? Hurst could be a decent backup for Wagner at RT, but I don't want him to protect Joes blindside any longer.

Yeah, even the Jags got a franchise WR out of that draft. We're really bad with this position.
So frustrating.
Wow. Great signing by the Jags, imho. Prince Amukamara 1 year deal 5mill (3mill garanteed). It's a good deal.

The contender comments from Chargers fans are even more hilarious. When was the last time, that franchise won a SB? Oh, never you say? That's a really long time ago. ![]()
