  1. If you'd have to choose one Smith or the other, would you choose Torrey or Jimmy?

Jimmy without a doubt or second thought.

      ravefan52

Without a doubt Jimmy. I still like Torrey though

      doublerayven

Jimmy, not only because I vouched for him before we drafted him. Actually that is it!

  2. I hope the reports about the FO forcing coaching staff decisions on Harbs aren't true. I wouldn't want our team to turn into the Baltimore Cowboys.

I hope they are true. The FO needs to prevent another Cam Cameron situation from happening.

It's not as if Cam was horrible his entire tenure

    4. AsianRice

      AsianRice

I agree with Calvin, Cam is bad playcaller but he is a good teacher; without him, Joe wouldn't be as successful as he is today.

Ravens are nowhere near in comparison with the Cowgirls....

Harbs would report to Steve and Ozzie but it is all on him for final decision. Steve and Ozzie only step in when we are failing 2yr in the row....

  3. Someone else in here, who liked the gold pants? I feel kinda alone with this one. :-(

Sorry man. The gold pants belong on the legs of the marching band.

  4. How likely is it, that Jim Hostler will keep his job? All of our potential replacements for Boldin, we liked so much, failed miserably last season.

Midway into the 2007 season, the 49ers' offense was ranked last in the NFL, and the 49ers' rushing offense, ranked sixth the previous year, was ranked near the bottom of the league after eight games under Hostler's direction. Under Hostlers' direction, the 49ers fell behind every team in the league in the categories of total offense, yards passing, and yards per play

He needs to go as well. Underdevelopment of wide receivers was very evident this year.

  7. Almost every FA move and every draft pick last offseason was invested in rebuilding the defense, while the offense had to pay for it with the Boldin trade. And yet, after all that and the many injuries to key offensive players, some people still complain that our stars on offense are struggling? Get real people!

      Tank 92

      Pitta........not Boldin.

    3. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

Well, without Boldin we couldn't afford to lose Pitta and then we did and then the Oline caved in and suddenly we had no offense. It's a domino effect. One follows the other.

    4. Tank 92

      Tank 92

Eh, I don't think you can relate one to the other. Obviously no one could predict Dennis going down and unless Boldin moved to TE I don't see the connection. Any of the receivers could be filling in if there was a dependable threat at TE. Q's contributions in the [profanity deleted] were legendary. Regular season? Not so much. The O line? Who knows the cause or fix for that issue.

Gonna be worse when Ozzie trades out of the first anyway...

    3. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

With a draft this deep, I doubt there will be many teams willing to trade away picks. Especially for the middle of the 1st round.

    4. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

I bet teams would be willing to trade up from the early 20's or out of the top 10 to the middle of the first, but not any huge trades like the Falcons-Browns

  9. The Ravens need a new OC (we should've signed Norv Turner) and Flacco needs a QB coach.

    2. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

Maybe you guys are right, but I still feel we need someone with more experience as an OC. When you look at the Pats passing game, you can see Brady throwing to wideopen receivers all day long. That has much to do with the gameplan they're running. How many times have we heard the phrace "Nobody is open"? Far too often, that's how many!

    3. DomMcRaven

      DomMcRaven

Any suggestions for OC (honest question)?

    4. jaycees

      jaycees

You are correct sir. This team needs a complete overhaul starting from top to bottom. They don't have that killer instinct.

  10. Lovie Smith for DC?

Hes a Tampa 2 disciple. We're about as far away from that as possible.

    3. Purple_ICE 81

      Purple_ICE 81

Thats the equivalent of saying "Eric Decker for WR" as Lovie Smith is atop the FA coaches big board

    4. Militant X 1

      Militant X 1

Lovie appears too be too laid back for me. I think we've had enough of those types with the last few DC's. I'd like to have someone who if fiery but very effective defensively like a Rex.

  11. Turner, Chud or McAdoo, but please don't make Hostler the OC now!

who ever the offensive coordintor going to be determines what receiver the ravens is going to draft? If it's Turner/chud then expect Mike Evans, If its Mcadoo then its Marqise lee and if its Hostler well umm hmmm well no comment

    3. redrum52

McAdoo is basically off the list. They say he's going to the Giants.

  13. When your QB is having a great game and the offense is still not able to score a single TD against the Lions, then something is going terribly wrong with your offense!

    3. DomMcRaven

      DomMcRaven

We need a TRUE OC, someone like how Ken Whisenhunt is helping Philip Rivers reviving his career, and a new WR coach that'll help our WRs run our better routes. If we can do that in the offseason while maintaining our defense (asking for a lot), we're easily a 12-13 win team.

I never bash the coaches but for once i agree wth can't we get a touchdown . we have a group of great recievers . where was Pitta at ...

some of the panthers plays like Steve Smith didn't like him but I wouldn't mind him at all .

    4. Stephenjr

      Stephenjr

No way I live in NC, hE DID NOTHING AS an OC! Cam is gifted, and is and was the only offense that the Panthers have and had.

  15. Cary Williams makes alot of sense for us. So does Andre Johnson, if he gets cut. 2 moves, that can fix our most pressing needs instantly.

he's regressed since leaving and he's always had an attitude. No need to pick him us, at this point Melvin and Asa provide near the same level of play but have more potential to get better

      pechillo

AJ is a lot of $$$

    4. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Reports are 3 teams are willing to pay AJ $10M for one year. Not sure we'd do that. As for Cary, always had an attitude but only remember it being an issue once or twice in his tenure here. Melvin didn't hold up when it counted so not sure that's where we want to hang our hat with no back-up.

  16. Joe Flacco will be the only 1st round draft pick on offense, that the Ravens have made and is still playing for the team. Will we finally go offense in the 2nd round? I hope so.

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

There aren't any FS left, that would be worth a 2nd round pick, imho. That's the problem I have with the Mosely pick. He's the BPA pick, that forces us to pick need for the rest of the draft.

    2. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

Not like any of the free safeties were really worth number 17 overall. Plus, there are several convert options at cornerback who have plenty of safety experience. Why reach? Get a Jaylen Watkins, Antone Exum in the third to fifth and you're much happier by taking Mosley than reaching for Clinton-Dix

    3. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

It is odd how much the FO ignored the FS position.

  17. SSS is a great WR and an even better guy. I hope he can retire winning a SB.

Lets send him off like we did Ray ... Smitty deserves it.

    2. polynesian15

      polynesian15

It HAS to happen like that, Smitty retiring without a ring would be a travesty!

Such a cool and talented guy.

Let's take the north this year, and stroll all the way to the bay area where we'll demolish... I'm gonna say the Cards.

Go Ravens & Viva Steve Smith

  18. Regular season Stat juggernaut Peyton Manning shrinks under the spotlight of the playoffs once again. Thank god for Joe Flacco.

  21. Come on Monroe. Do the smart thing and sign. The Dolphins might pay a little more, but can they get you a SB ring? I don't think so!

    1. Ravenatic20

      Ravenatic20

You lost him at "The Dolphins might pay a little more"

  22. Those trades prove, that in this QB market, the Ravens DID NOT overpay to keep Joe Flacco.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

$20 million is the average pay of a viable winning QB, once that QB wins a SB, then they can fairly be paid slightly over, which Flacco is at $22 million a year.

  23. You see, momentum, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

  24. November 6th 2011: Torrey Smith catches a 26 yard TD pass from Joe Flacco in Pittsburgh with 8 seconds left on the clock in a 23-20 win over the Steelers. I'll never forget that moment. God bless you, Torrey.

That was a special one for me too, since it was my birthday. Great, great present.

  25. With the draft starting soon, I'd like to dedicate one last feed to how much I hated this extended waiting period for the draft.
