  1. Our depth at WR is going to make training camp interesting next year. Aiken & Marlon Brown are RFA so they will be back. Daniel Brown, Jeremy Butler and Chris Matthews are ERFAs. Givens being the only UFA WR. Plus Clay is a ERFA so for another two years we get a low costing yet great returner.

I dunno. We talken about our "depth at WR" before this season. Didn't turn out too well. We need to draft someone great.

Teams can't be good all the time. I still love being a Ravens fan.

  3. Going 7-0 to end the year with a 9-7 record gives the Ravens a 60% chance to make the playoffs based on my simulations. I can still dream! :D lol if only...

  4. 49ers Retirement List: Marcus Lattimore, Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, Justin Smith, Anthony Davis

Kaep better play lights out, because next years draft has some really good QB talent and the 49ers will be in a good position to draft one of them.

  5. If Russell Wilson genuinely wants to be the highest paid player in NFL history then he better prepare to be disappointed. No team will pay that much for a game manager. He isn't the kind of QB that can carry a team to a SB like Manning, his greatest asset is that he doesn't make too many mistakes but put him on a team without an elite defense and he'll crumble, he can't put a team on his back and make them winners, just not the player he is.

Yeah, I'd take Tannehill over Russ also. The Fins are asking Ryan to do way more than the Seahawks ask of Wilson. Tannehill had almost 600 passing attempts last season, while RW is still at 450 and it's his 3rd season.

I disliked the Mosley pick, because it was the WR draft and I just knew we would leave the draft without one. Mosley was still the best MLB of the draft class and rock solid pick.

  7. Philip Rivers could be traded from San Diego?

  8. isn't it time to not be known for just defense? don't get me wrong Ravens defense is essentially the only old school and real football played anymore but I'm tired of Pats and Broncos etc. to be considered shoe-ins for the super bowl based off of QB and offense. Lets balance our defense with offense. aka Ozzie please draft a WR *not Devin Smith* and a TE

I definetly can see Peters dropping to 26. Ozzie will probably pick him, when he does. I wouldn't mind.

You're in trouble. Alot of people around here LOVE Devin. I do prefer Strong for sure, but Smith isn't awful. His floor is being another Torrey, which isn't horrible. We won a SB with that and there is something to be said for him being relatively low risk, it's just questionable, if his ceiling is much higher. I love the tough, sure handed Strong better, also.

  10. I am starting to get a little impatient and annoyed with the front office because I know Ozzie is a great GM and all, but they have had several opportunities to sign some quality defensive players and are letting them go to division rivals (Tramon Williams) I just want them to fill defensive holes and draft offense. I don't want to anticipate the draft and then have them take a pass rusher or DL or CB in the first round when they could have filled these holes better in FA. We need playmak...

The Ravens have a solid secondary, if Webb and Smith can stay healthy. Melvin and Asa will provide good depth with one more season under their belts. The departure of Torrey is the biggest issue, imho. I'm not saying that Oz won't be able to find that go-to guy for, but I could understand Ozzies reservation against taking a WR early. I still hope he gives it another shot. Strong reminds me alot of Boldin. Like ALOT!

First of all, Oz stunk drafting WRs and even he knows it. Secondly, even without FA addition we might still take a WR before DL or CB. Both DL and CB have a problem with depth and not talent, but the WR spot lacks a star receiver. The need is more pressing there.

  12. Defense provides offense 4 turnovers, holds top scoring offense to 20 points, and yet people complain about Pees? Are you serious?!

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

I think people are more complaining, that this isn't the passrush happy defense they used to seeing. I like where the offense is going, but I do feel that the OL is still holding them back. Hopefully, that changes when Monroe returns.

  13. Ok. I love Ray Lewis but dude, I mean, not everything is about you. Plus, you might want to check with your brain sometimes before you speak. "not everything you can cover up". Yikes.

That's the only thing, that really annoyed me about our 2012 SB run. Best MLB in history, but some self-awareness wouldn't hurt. That being said, he's basically surrounded by enablers on ESPN, who totally buy into his performance.

I reallly hope bmoreravens21784 has a point. The offense looked awful. Joe has to shoulder most of the blame, not all of it, for this loss. 3 days, man, that's not much time to work out what's wrong with the team.

  19. If you'd have to choose one Smith or the other, would you choose Torrey or Jimmy?

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

Jimmy is no Haden, but that huge contract does give Smith some serious leverage. It will be interesting to see how that all plays out. Personally, if we have to choose, I'd go with Jimmy. Ozzie always takes BPA, right? Well, between the two of them, Jimmy looks like the more talented one.

  20. If you'd have to choose one Smith or the other, would you choose Torrey or Jimmy?

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

Agreed. Torrey has potential and started out stronger. No one called him a bust, but Jimmy turned the corner and realized his potential, while we're still waiting on Torrey. Still a hard choice, though.

I feel bad for Heap. The Ravens FO wasted his prime by taking too long to find a franchise QB. He really should've won a SB ring, but fell in between the two championships Balt ended up winning.

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

It won't happen. The Ravens never surrounded Flacco with much and they won't change that anytime soon. Look for a new ageing FA to be signed next offseason.

  23. Some take "In Ozzie we Trust" way too far. All called for offense in their mock drafts - now they're saying how GREAT this draft was. At least until we start playing and we're still crap in all the areas we were crap in last season! Too funny really.

    1. PolishRifle

      PolishRifle

Sometimes you get a steal, but often UDFAs and UDFAs for a reason. The only thing this move proves, is that Ozzie knows himself, that the offense lacks in depth and talent. We're taking alot of chances, when it comes to offense, chances that we usually don't take on defense. Hopefully it will work out. I'm not wrong, when I feel uneasy about all of this, though.

Bmore, no one is denying, that those players are great. But we're just disappointed, that the offense seemingly doesn't get as much attention as it should've after the season they had. There was more room for improvement on offense. And really, I would say the people defending the FO are far more dramatic. You can't even remotely question moves Ozzie makes around here.
