  1. Pollard that ship has sailed. I loved you as a Raven but there's someone that brings the intangible you brought to the team (outspoken toughness) and his name is Steve Smith-- he just does it without showing up the coach or challenging the head honcho's authority. It was nice though.
  2. Didn't Odell Beckham Jr. miss the first quarter of the regular season and then tear up the league in the last 12 games? Not saying Perriman is OBJ but it's better to miss time and get healthy than be hobbled and struggling through training sessions.
  3. I think Jeremy Butler is last year's Kamar Aiken and the previous year's Marlon Brown. Hopefully he'll be better than both and vie for that open starter position. I wouldn't mind Perriman being Wally Pipp if Butler can turn out to be the football version of Lou Gehrig (without the malady of course).
  4. Training camp opens for all my Ravens tomorrow. That's all I need to hear right about now.
  5. I said this same thing in a posting a few weeks ago. I guess it's better then second... or 100th time. The Ravens will be foolish not to try to keep Osemele simply because they will be paying Yanda. Having one great Offensive Lineman and 4 average guys is like having 5 average guys because teams will dedicate a "goon" to take up that one stud and then run roughshod over the feckless bunch. You gotta be strong on the interior so that your QB can step into throws.
  6. You have to read between the lines here. Bisciotti says he isn't putting any pressure on Goodell, but doesn't address his feelings on reducing the suspension. Kraft is one of 31 other owners, I don't get the reverence bestowed on him by his colleagues.
  7. First: The Ravens are NOT cutting DeAngelo Tyson and Kapron Lewis Moore in the same training camp. Second; Darren Waller will go down on IR before the Ravens let a draft pick with so much potential go on someone else' practice squad and then possibly flourish in a year or two. Now to Ray Rice. It chaps my behind that this guy is still seen as a pariah in NFL circles. Do I need to say, "I don't condone what he did..."; no sane person does, however it is not as heinous as the enduring backlash makes it seem. They got married, they've moved on, and there has been no incident with them since-- zilch. He has been at the forefront of this thing from day one and continues to champion the cause against domestic violence. It just tells me one thing; we are a bunch of hypocrites-- yours truly included, and I'm ashamed of it.
  8. I don't quite know how to respond to that "Harvard Study". I guess there are small lies, big lies, and then Harvard Studies.
  9. You couldn't tear it apart logically if you tried the hardest you can. Reason: If you can calm down and read and actually internalize what you read you'd realize that I was toeing the line of the silly GMs that were discrediting Flacco based on the cast around him to show how obtuse that argument is. Calm down and read again.
  10. I don't have as much problems with the ratings as I have with the NFL executives that are talking about Flacco. How can you say Flacco is a product of the success of Torrey Smith? Torrey 'Freakin' Smith?!! I would have thought we were talking about a surefire Hall of Famer. Okay since it's time to be silly here we go: Tom Brady is a fraud-- he has ridden the coattails of Gronk (the best or second best TE in the league his entire career), Randy Moss (undoubted future HOFer), Corey Dillon, Wes Welker (multiple times Pro Bowler... arguably the best slot receiver in the league when he was in his prime), Deion Branch (Superbowl MVP)... Peyton Manning is overrated-- He couldn't do it without Marvin Harrison (future HOFer), Reggie Wayne (Future HOFer), Demaryius Thomas ($70 Million receiver, and multi-Probowl player), Dallas Clark (multiple Probowl invitations), Emmanuel Sanders (ProBowl receiver)... Drew Brees is a short guy that only stands tall because of his big targets-- Marques Colston (several ProBowl invitations), Darren Sproles (ProBowl player), Jimmy Graham (see Gronk), Reggie Bush (2nd Overall pick and ProBowl returner, dynamic runner and pass catcher)... Andrew Luck is okay but extremely overrated-- Reggie Wayne (again), T.Y. Hilton (ProBowl receiver), Coby Fleener (high draft pick a la Torrey Smith), Trent Richardson (Top 3 Overall Pick in NFL Draft - lol)... I can do this all day... who else wants in? C'mon guys stop being silly!!!
  11. I'm happy Pitta got his money before the recurrence of that hip injury otherwise I doubt that he would be so humorous about the injury. I'm also glad the Ravens have moved ahead like Pitta won't be back otherwise they might be secretly ticked off that he is presumably finding so much levity in this injury situation. So everybody wins; I love winners!!!
  12. If the Defense remains same (or improves) and the change on Offense is that Breshad Perriman has more than 1000 yards then we'll be sitting pretty for a Superbowl push. Get your work in Breshad!
  13. Wow, if I didn't know any better I'd think you're the epitome of human virtue. Good for you.
  14. Let me get this straight; so you guys would feel better if that ring remained at the bottom of the Chesapeake rather than this "thief" or "dirtbag" (whatever you choose to call him) dirtying himself to make a few bucks on a treasure hunt? Is it his job to find that ring for the insurance company? And the insurance company would have written off the payout in taxes... the lady got her ring replaced... In my opinion he deserves something for his effort. I'm not sure this guy is the younger brother of El Chapo as some of the commenters would like you to believe.
  15. Dez Bryant for just his rookie contract is well worth more than Sergio Kindle and Jah Reid! And no he'd be different in Baltimore. Dallas has a culture that cuddles knuckleheads Baltimore doesn't. Even if we couldn't pay him beyond that rookie deal it would be worth it and then some, next question! I can't believe it is even a question.
  16. As much as I liked (or like) Torrey Smith the man, I didn't really think he had the mental make-up to be your number one guy catching the ball. Torrey sorely lacked that mean streak, the mindset that the ball in the air is his and he won't be denied or bullied... Torrey came across as the guy who would shrug off a loss and tell the rest of the guys it's not the end of the world... and it isn't quite frankly. I just want a bunch of guys who take losses a bit harder than the average guy.
  17. Okay Training Camp needs to get here in a hurry (knee jerk reaction of an O's fan after what was a terrible game last night)!
  18. I'd probably change the trade up and turning in the draft card that had "Kyle Boller" written on it and then wasting the prime of the careers of Ray, Ed and that All-World Defense trying to develop a fundamentally flawed QB (Ugh I can only imagine what would have been if Flacco came along 5 years earlier!), but I guess this is only plays on the field so any of those listed is fine with me. Okay I think I just had a relapse, gotta make a shrink appointment for next week.
  19. Didn't know how important LFW was to my morning until the past week or so. Thanks Sarah, have I told you you look beautiful today?!
  20. ...and if I'm not mistaking that is 2 total TDs not 2 TDs a game. Please expand on said "memorable matchups" cos I think I'm gonna love most of em.
  21. I was a bit ashamed for Michael Oher when I read that story a couple of days ago. It's bad enough you weren't exactly worth the trade up in the first round, now you'll blame a movie that made you a household name for your ho hum play on the field?!! If Oher was above average at his position he'd be a perennial Pro Bowl player being as it is that that thing is a popularity contest and he has been the most recognizable lineman in the entire league for half a decade. Man up and own your play-- good or bad.
  22. Okay Campanaro ever heard of some guy named Wally Pip? Google him.
  23. I hate this assessment that we can't keep both Yanda and Osemele; Why not?! Kansas City used to have one of those monster lines with Brian Waters and Will Shields. They also had Willie Roaf and Casey Wiegmann on that line and all got paid. The result? Go ask Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, Johnnie Morton, Eddie Kennison and Trent Green. Ozzie if someone can find a way to get it done, you can.
  24. Ray Rice is not in the NFL because we all are hypocrites on some level. We are all flawed but we all want to be seen as impeccable. I've just got to work on me that's all.
