I just remembered, flacco is the one QB that brees has never beat. I know its preseason but i'd like to keep that streak going.
Didn't the Saints win a preseason game against us a few years back? Or am I imagining that?
I'm excited to see Waller, but with Schaub throwing to him, I may have to temper that excitement.
The Panthers are my 2nd favourite team, and SSS was my favourite Panther, so you can imagine how stoked I was when the Ravens got him! We better get the man his ring!
The Redskin fans that I know are so die-hard loyal! Every year they say, "This is our year." And every year, by week six, they're saying, "Next year's our year!" I feel bad for them; but considering how many of them are former Colts fans who jumped ship in the 80s, I don't feel too bad for them.
Still, a Ravens/Redskins Superbowl would be a lot of fun, especially before PC Police make them change their name.
I don't know about that; it seems like every single year the "Hear it from Fans" section of the WYTS preview of the Redskins includes at least 1 comment about how Redskins fans are jumping ship for the Ravens ![]()
The only question that can be taken seriously in a presidential debate in 2015!
Look, I'm sorry. Darren Waller HAS to make this team. He has freakish size and speed, and all of the tape out of training camp says he also has freakish ability. THIS is our late-round gem, folks.
Paying closer attention to those interceptions against Flacco for sure. But some good picks were made on Flacco throws, which gives me hope for improvement this year for turnovers from our defense. I am excited also and hopeful that our secondary will play at a very high level.
I feel like picks against Flacco means the secondary is doing well, where picks against Schaub is like a fish swimming or politician lying.
Yeah, but are they getting their interceptions off Flacco or Schaub? That's important.
In all seriousness, though; I'm more excited for this secondary than any other since Ed Reed left! ![]()
We are still admiring what Kubiak did. Trestman can only make it better
Agreed. Kubiak was the one who figured out what makes our offense perform best, and now Trestman has the blueprint, a similar offensive mindset, a history of good offensive coordinating, and a lot of new toys. I'm so excited for this season!
You're bloody well right we are! We went surprisingly far last year with a team that wasn't this complete. I'm trying to temper my expectations, but it's hard!
Man, how do you sit and watch the film and come up with a short list of "Ed Reed's Best Plays"?
I love love love the Marty Mornhinweg hire. Coached Steve Young, McNabb, Jeff Garcia, Favre, and Mike Vick to Pro Bowls. That's quite an impressive resume. He also comes from the Andy Reid/Mike Holmgren branch of the West Coast. He also coached under Steve Mariucci, another WCO guy. Might not have had success in New York, but... I mean... it's the Jets. This guy has an impressive resume, and he's coached just about every aspect of an offense. He's been RB coach, QB coach, OL coach, WR coach, and OC. I love this hire and I think he'll work great with Joe and Marc.
Also, I find it interesting that Marty was a colleague of John Harbaugh in Philadelphia. Marty was OC there for a few years.
Saying, "yeah, but he was bad with the jets" is like saying, "Yeah, but he smelled like poo when he cleaned porta-johns.

Ahh, I was imagining that. Thanks for clearing that up!
