Let me tell you - Eric DeCosta is not being forthright when he says that he would have taken CJ at #10 if they had the opportunity. Of course, you wouldn't expect him to speak the truth and reveal their strategy. The player they had in mind all along was Shazier, the OLB from Ohio State. They would have snatched him had the Steelers not beaten them to it.

How do you guys include someone's previous comments in a box?

Of course, one can make an argument that it is difficult to separate great players and leaders from great coaches. Bill Walsh had Joe Montana. Would he have been as successful with his "west coast" offense w/o Montana? Bellichik has Tom Brady. Would he have been as successful w/o Brady? We might never know. Parcell's case is a bit different. He took several teams to successful seasons. May be he is the best of them all. In any case, if John Harbaugh can turn this team around in 2014 and make a big splash in the playoffs, he would definitely enter into the argument as one of the best coaches ever.

"I think 2016 is the earliest the Ravens fire Harbaugh" Let us not jump to such hasty conclusions. Harbaugh is admittedly a good coach and deserves a longer leash. But, he has not yet established himself in the class of Bellichik, Walsh, Gibbs, and Parcells. Do not forget that all his success has come when the team had great leaders like Lewis and Reed. He needs to demonstrate that he can successfully navigate this team through this extremely critical phase for the franchise. He needs to do it in 2014. I am not so sure that he can survive a terrible collapse in 2014, like the one that the Texans had.
