I really don't see why people think Josh Johnson is head above heels destroying Mallett... Mallett has not made really any mistakes. There was the one interception that bounced off of Waller that was not on him. Other than that he has been throwing well and he is a Flacco clone. I really don't see the big difference between the two and I really do think Johnson is being overrated at this point. Reminds me of when people were calling for Flacco's head and for Tyrod to start a few years back.. Hurts my head.

The biggest difference I think is Flacco has way better mobility than Mallett. I'd see if there's interest in a conditional pick for Johnson. Why not?

He (Waller) looked pretty great last night, although I admit I didn't watch him every snap or anything like that.  He is big and fast - looks like a muscular NBAer.  I haven't seen many of these "projects" turn out well in the past, but Waller may just be a major exception.  I think he can be become a very very good TE, potentially explosive.

I am really curious what is up with Maxx though.

there has been some success with project tight ends. Larry Donnell will Tye. There are some others I'm forgetting.

  3. I think Ben missing time is a legit concern for AB. He was not himself when Ben was out last year. And he pretty much always misses games. However if you flip it and look at what OBJ will have if Eli goes down that is a scary thought. I would not base my fantasy fortunes on taking no Steelers. However I normally find it pretty easy to avoid guys I just don't like. If you can trade down to 2 maybe you can try it but if I'm at 2 I'm not going to want to give up too much for the gap bw brown and obj is small.

Speaking of great comedies, Just got around to watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian. Probably should have seen these a long time ago.

Wow. Yeah. Holy grail is a classic... It's just a flesh wound...  Never heard of life of brian

  5. ok here's my predictions for Night of finale. Most of which I thought about 4 episodes in. Naz is found not guilty in court. But we never find out for sure who did the murder. They leave it open ended. In a tragic twist he is caught doing an actual murder. He's manipulated into doing it for Freddy.

Stubborness. On both sides. Ridiculous. I'm glad I didn't get my wish. I would have been very happy for us to draft him. smh.

This would never happen here. Ravens aren't this kind of organization.

The Chargers issued a public statement on the negotiations...

I can't understand why he doesn't want to sign there... (sarcasm)?  The money is fine but note how the Chargers said nothing about deferments and offsets, which is the real hold up here.  I'm starting to see why so many players dislike SD.

Nice public slam of the player. Great negotiating tactic there.

  8. I've got a good amount of Steve Smith as my 7th reciever in mfl10s because he was a top 5 player last year. And the only guy on this team with that potential. Flacco is a great late round QB. And Buck Allen is a great late pick because of his recieving role in ppr.

I really really hope Jernigan takes it up a notch. One wonders if his success in his rookie year was having suggs/dooms/ngata and mcphee all with him and making it overwhelming and he would just pick up the scraps..

If we still had Mcphee i'd have 0 worries about this pass rush :( He just always seemed to collapse the middle. Urban has shown nothing other than an ability to bat a few passes and don't get me started on carl davis. Jernigan has to take the step up or this pass rush will be awful.

McPhee probably the worst free agent loss at least in recent memory when you consider his cost and how thin the depth was and is behind Suggs and Doom. Have to move on from this one though. Hes not coming back.

It's impossible to accurately grade an individual on the OL without knowing the blocking assignments on a given play, but they provide a general idea for O-Linemen. PFF is (or was) most useful for their signature stats, which they seem to no longer offer for regular consumers.

That was the worst decision ever. Went from one of my fave websites to one I rarely refer to.

    Thanx,

But I'm not much interested in Cap Discussions.  They are labored. Any Team can make room for any Player in  regard to Cap.  The Steelers do it all the time.

My view on Cap is that it must be rescinded for the game to be completely enjoyable. When it is rescinded we will see who the good GM's are and  who they are not. I also believe rosters need expanded by at least 10 players and I believe 12 would be a better number with the injuries and concern for player well being. If our roster was 65, I  might understand retaining Elam.

Whatever they pay Elam is too much, because his roster spot is valuable and it strains credibility to say, we have nothing better and can't release him. Every time he is on the field there is jeopardy of losing the game. He can't play the position in the NFL.

Teams aren't going to fork over more money for ten more players. And the players aren't going to want to divide the current pie smaller to accommodate. So not happening.

Give it a break fellas! He's trying really hard and there's not much more you can ask of a player. Perriman's no Monroe.

I think it's sad how many jokes are being thrown around over a guy who is trying to make a return from a torn acl in record time. Just because it's severely underreported how much of s miracle this type of return timetable is. He wasn't my favorite player coming out but this is a totally separate issue.
