Keened up to get Marvin Lewis--I needed a really good DC opposite Sean Payton and imo is one of the best developers of defensive talent over the last little while. He has obviously never got the Bungles over the hump but will not be asked to do that now. I will be excited for the day that he leaves the Bengals as I think their perennial status of AFC North competitors will drop quickly as he keeps that roster well coached from the starters to the backups.

That's a very good pick and a very good combo . Marvins biggest flaw is he doesn't coach aggressively enough against the best competition. That's what separates harbaugh.

  2. Moss has more natural talent than all of these guys including Rice. But he did not translate that in to being the greatest all time reciever and in fact had multiple below average seasons which can't be said for any of these other players.

To and Smith there's tons of pros and cons for both so I could see either way.

Remember what Johnny Unitas said after Modell announced he's moving Browns to Baltimore. He said this would never have happened if Baltimore was granted an expansion franchise. Cleveland fans have nobody to blame but to Mr Tagulbue.

clevekand has no one to blame but themselves. They refuse to put any money into that dump of a stadium yet build a whole new stadium for the expansion team. What?

His on the field shenanigans didn't stop him from being top 3 in receiving yards and touchdowns and sixth in receptions all time. No doubt a lot of teams couldn't deal with his flamboyant and very outspoken attitude, but as a receiver, I'd put him on my dream team.

SSS is easily my top Ravens receiver ever, honestly. I remember a question was posed to all the AFCN writers as to whether SSS was a HoF player or not and two said no. I was shocked to hear that two would say no.

Smith I believe is a better all around player than Moss or TO. Easily.

Pretty much but Houston got the better end of it while Miami got a bad deal.

I predict Miller will fall far short of expectations and not be this workhorse back that's being predicted. Ajayi will end up the better player. And nothing wrong with bringing in Foster for basically nothing.

It was a few years back at this point, but if i remember correctly, I think there was a "Ravens should sign Hines Ward" thread that broke records on negs.

That got record negs?  Why. Hines Ward would have made a great Raven. I wonder when this was?

I generally enjoy your post and point of view on most topics so I say this with the upmost respect. I'm so glad they didn't task you with naming this team brother. lol

The rest of the post is good though.

Americans and Marauders were aweful too though. There were plenty of other horrible names floating around too.

  9. So I finished Between. It was ok. The second season started picking up a little steam, but it's no Leftovers. They just never developed the characters enough or have us care enough about their threat. Best character was the younger kid Harrison.

Started stranger things. 4 episodes in this is great!  Definitely poltergeist/ET/Alien. They have the 80s vibe captured perfectly. The soundtrack and the score are perfectly done also.

Not quite the same thing sir. The Colts left Baltimore like thieves in the middle of the night and took our history and all our achievements along with them. The Ravens when they left Cleveland did no such thing. They left all the accolades of the Browns and the name in Cleveland for the new team to embrace. That was the greatness and graciousness of Art Modell, who is still hated by those fools. Sometimes I wish the Ravens used the Browns name a couple of years before trashing it in favor of the Ravens so all the accolades of the Browns would then belong here in Baltimore and Cleveland would have to choose a new name perhaps the Cleveland Losers - a name that is befitting indeed. So, in summary, there is no comparison between the two cities and what their owners actually did. The Irsays are no Modells by any stretch of imagination.

This sums up my feelings 100%. I always get mad when you see a younger fan feeling sorry for Cleveland. Hopefully their cursed the rest of my lifetime. The Irsays are despicable.

Correct, but the minimum there is one year. So if he checks into rehab, learns to deal with his depression, and truly becomes a changed man I believe he will be reinstated. Every site I've looked at says in dynasty leagues of fantasy football the best thing to do is keep him due to his immense upside. I took a shot on him in the 23rd round, and I think that's pretty accurate value due to his talent, age, and the predicament he has put himself in.

If I had him in dynasty I'd trade him. There's surely a few guys that would give up something good for him. Id rather take that and try to win every year.

I am not 100% convinced the RAVENS would have made to the Super Bowl with out Ray announcing it was his last ride.

Flacco was far more responsible for that win thanLewis. As much as I love Ray he was good but not great in 2012. Flacco was great.

Yeah. Even if the player has an insanely high football iq such as Ray. Don't see it sadly.

He'll make bank as a motivational speaker though

Yeah. Also sometimes the better and more instinctual the player the more frustrated they can get trying to coach up others.... Mike Singletary.
