Fletcher is pretty much a freak of nature at 38. Nothing wrong with having one or two solid veteran leaders. I would imagine this would be his final season in all likelihood.
Butler is a nice up and coming linebacker. Calvin already has 2 outside backers so j am not sure of his plan here. Interesting.
Colon... Great pick at this point
I agree colon was my top rated guard. He is a versatile lineman who can also play tackle.
Newhouse might be a nice player to have bacuase he can play several positions on the line but I don't know if he's a starter at any.
Interesting choice with Thomas. Three acl tears in the same knee is highly unlikely to come back from.
i could be the person that could benefit the most of these two teams to be closed and I oppose this; they both miss their QB and one misses a RB too so that's 3 picks that affect me and I still want us to find two others willing to take part in the game - I will extend an invitation to Clutch and JO_75 to participate and others if they refuse
I agree this would be best and these two would be independent not making picks the other two direct.
I went with Travis Frederick to finish up my offensive line.
Now I know what you are thinking, Crush, don't you already have a center? And yes, I do (Brian De La Puente). However, Frederick was the starting left guard as a sophomore (last season) and played on and off at LG and C as a freshman. This gives me some versatility to have on the line which I like. Frederick is another guy who I don't think will be amazing in the NFL but he will be a solid starter. He was my best G left on the board (I had him at G and C).
This makes my OL look like this:
Branden Albert - Travis Frederick - Brian De La Puente - Uche Nwaneri - Marcus Gilbert
While this isn't a spectacular offensive line, I believe it is a very solid one that will provide E.J. Manuel with time to throw and give Lamar Miller good running lanes.
Also, when you consider the rounds I got my guys in, I think I did well:
Albert: 6th
Frederick: 19th
De La Puente: 9th
Nwaneri: 17th
Gilbert: 16th
I actually like this line quite a bit. I believe it will be somewhat better at run blocking overall than pass blocking, also considering the value of each piece, I would put this line just below the more elite lines in this game.
Well. Less than 3 hrs to a skip.
Maiava and Wheaton are both very underrated.
Maiava was actually the number 7 ranked 43 olb by pff last yr. I'd say extremely underrated player.
Probably a wise decision to add starks to this young oline. Do you plan to play him at right or left?
I really like Luke Stocker. I love his speed. He's also a good blocker. I think he'll do pretty well this year in the Bucs offense. He's one of my secret sleepers, personally. I really, really like him.
I also like stocker as a sleeper tight end. He hasn't had much opportunity in the way of receiving, however I think he will have more responsibilities there this year. He is quite solid in blocking particularly in the run game.
Thanks for the compliment. I am really pleased with this team thus far. I don't agree with all of your rankings. There are some teams I wod put higher and lower but I can't remember them all right now. Thanks for putting the work in. Btw the other thing I agree with was your criteria in order of importance for ranking teams. I also know your team is one of my favorites except the wrs, but that's splitting hairs really.I could do a top 5, bottom 5 as a teaser. Remember it's still fluid.
1. RavensDan - Elite QB, good OL, decent weapons, solid D.
2. RayTheDay - Elite QB, good OT, good weapons, Strong D
3. SAM - Very Balanced team all around, very good OL. Average QB but very good weapons. Strong D
4. Ravens__ - Great QB, good OL, very good weapons, solid D.
5. Free Agent - Elite QB although old, solid OL, good weapons, D is average but good secondary.
26. Easternshore - Solid OL, but poor QB. Average offensive weapons. Good D though. Could improve.
27. SteelersProphet - Great QB, but awful OL. Good weapons. Old D, no pass-rush.
28. RavensAllTheWay - Good offense, but average QB. Weak defense overall.
29. CARavensfan - Good young QB, but questionable OL. Lacks weapons on O. Poor secondary despite solid front 7.
30. Horus13Corvineus - Lots of talent on D, but doesnt work together. Questionable OL construction. No QB, average weapons.
Ugh I was hoping to get Broyles.. Good pick
Thanks
Nice pick with tamme. He has been my highest ranked tight end for a while. Only picked broyles over him because Rodgers has always favored wr over te. Tamme can be a fantastic receiving threat when he receives the targets. He is better at pass blocking than run blocking.
You think he's a steal? I'm not sure I'd consider him a steal but he's a good player in my eyes. I like him a lot.
I like both of these picks quite a bit. Very nicely done.
If broyles comes back to 100% health he is a steal. I realize that is in question but he is a great player otherwise. He is really the only player I have with any significant injury question so he is even more worth the risk IMO.
I like the Broyles pick, his issue has just been staying healthy and he's coming off an ACL injury. However, if he is back he will be very good.
Not as big a fan of the Ben Jones pic, you already took Gino and I think he's a better fit at OG IMO
To me broyles was a steal at this point. Yes it is no joke to recover from 2 acl tears, but he is on pace to return week one.
Jones I will play at guard, where he took over for other ineffective players in Houston. Learned a new position and played quite well there in his rookie year. I also wanted someone versatile who could backup Gino at center. I now have 5 very solid and athletic linemen. The oldest being levitre at age 27. This will be probably the top line Rodgers has ever had. And they will all be capable of running a fast paced pass first second and third offense.
Hopkins broyles and Hilton Is a deadly combination who can all score on any play and all be moved all over the formation.
I here he's great when you throw him at people...
Well I think kitchen is still available lol
*soon
Its funny, had we done this mock prior to the real life 2013 draft, there are quite a few of us who would've chosen Allen over DeAndre Hopkins, who went at the beginning of round 11 in this mock. Yet, because Allen fell to third round in real life, I think it caused a lot of us to either forget about him or just be wary of selecting him.
But I think Allen will be a very good WR for the Chargers. Injury concerns aside, he'll develop into a very nice intermediate/over-the-middle weapon for Phillip Rivers.
I probably over drafted Hopkins a bit but he was always my favorite in this draft. I like Allen quite a bit as well and there is alot of opportunity for playing time in San Diego.
If nflfan picks sink I can make my own selections.
Levi actually finished 2011 with 7 straight positive games. Missed all of 12 with a triceps injury. It will be interesting to see if he can make up comeback this year and be anything close to the top pick he once was.
That's not really Brockers game at all. While he is strong vs the run, his real talent will be in a penetrating role. Think Warren Sapp. Cofield is stout enough to occupy the strong side A gap, while Brockers abuses the weak side guard.
I don't know if I'd say brockers is quite warren sapp, but you can't go wrong either way with these players.
My pick is in. I know he would've gone a lot higher had it not been for the injury concerns that sunk his draft stock. I love his sure hands and toughness. When combined with the speed and playmaking ability of Percy Harvin, not to mention catching passes from Peyton, Allen should thrive.
I like the pick. Allen is a nice compliment to harvin.
There are still alot of proven return men on the board, why take a chance on someone like this?
Thanks...
Not a fan of the mathieu pick in the least. High risk low reward. A multitude of off the field issues combined with limited on field skills, plus being out of football for an extended period of time, so he lacks vital experience.
last six pick to finish this round
6. Ray The Day
5. Free Agent
4. berad
3. Geving
2. nflfan123
1. ravensdan
Clutch has my board as I will be at a tounament most of the day.

Bailey is a good prospect although I think he is an ideal slot receiver in the nfl and you already have Cruz. Seems like a luxury pick at this point considering the desperate shape of your o line.
