  1. Munnerlyn is someone I had high on my list of corners remaining. He was a lone bright spot in a poor secondary last year. I like him best in the slot but he can hold his own on the outside as well.

Damontre Moore is one of my favorite prospects from this draft. In fact he was my first pick. In the other draft. His best position I think is 34 rush lb, but the giants want him for dend. Can't really argue with their success there.

Sio Moore was another one of my favorite prospects remaining. I think ss is a stretch, but his athleticism and versatility as a linebacker make him a special player.

  2. Thank you. Out of that group, Scott Chandler's the only player with questionable speed, but I feel like I've surrounded him enough of it otherwise to offset his lack of down the field ability and allow him to utilize his 6'7 frame to be a sizable target in the middle. I don't expect Jake Locker to magically develop into a top tier passer, so surrounding him with capable YAC WRs felt like a must. Both Steve Smith and Darrius Heyward-Bey were within the Top 15 in forced missed tackles at their position in 2012, and Cordarrelle Patterson made a living in this department in Tennessee, so the quick slants and underneath screens should be of help in getting and keeping Locker in rhythm. C.J. Spiller will figure into the passing game as well, being one of the better, if not one of the best receiving RBs last season. That being said, the Offense will likely revolve around #28. This should keep Locker from having forcing to force his hand in order for this side of the ball to be successful.

You've done a good job giving locker every chance in the world to succeed. I will be watching him closely early in the year to see if he can make any improvements in his poor decision making. I believe lockers play will dictate Tennessee to be either 4-12 or 12-4.

  3. I too really liked the Lafell pick. He was at the top of my list for when the snake comes back around. Several good young receivers have now gone off the board pretty quickly/

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a fan of Mathews anymore. But I've seen plenty of flashes from him, using that good speed/size combo. And as for him not winning the role, part of that has been San Diego's coaching and O-Line. Which has turned the team disastrous over the last couple years.

I do agree San Diego has been the worst coached team in the nfl by a wide margin since they fired Marty. Why anyone would want norv as even an o coordinator is beyond me.

  4. With my pick, I decided to round out my WR corps. This year, LaFell will play as my WR2 with Michael Floyd as my WR1 due to Michael Crabtree's injury. When Crabtree is healthy, I think I have a very good WR corps. Crabtree had his breakout year last season, Floyd is going to have his this season, and LaFell is a solid WR who is the #2 for the Panthers but will only have to be my #3.

Also, I have Coby Fleener and Rob Housler at TE so that will help ease the burden with Crabtree out.

Overall, I am very happy with my offensive weapons and I feel they will be a good fit to run the pistol offense with E.J. Manuel.

Lafell was a guy I was really high on going in to last year. I kept waiting for his breakout and it never really came. Now was that due to his own ability or he struggles with the line in Carolina and cams down year. Hard to say for sure, this is kind of a make or break year for him to prove he can be a number 2.

  5. Well I did give it away with the 'shhh'. But I was contemplating him among others. It made it easier when Bryce Brown went a couple picks before me.

I probably could have waited since I think Crush is the last one without a RB. But now with the extra round, some people might start picking up guys for a RBBC.

Bryce brown in think was kind of a one hit wonder. He had the big game then he was just way too careless with the football.

San Diego has tried to get Mathews to take over the lead back role there for several years now. Due to injury and IMO overrated ability he has been unable to best out full backs for thst role. Count me as not a fan of his.

  6. sorry for the delay my neighbors house was on fire.....pick is in

and my switch to 4-3 is also official......I feel the talent left favors that

    Wow hope everyone is ok...

That switch I think is unfortunate. You accommodate freeney yes and I realize 34 olb is impossibly thin right now but the rest of your team was definitely set up to run the 34 base, I also coincidently feel that was the strongest part of this team.

Baldwin has a ton of potential and is physically imposing if he can get his head on straight.

  7. I like Shipley. Not a big fan of Grubbs but Sitton is a beast. Before anyone jumps on me it's documented I wasn't Grubbs' biggest fan while he was a Raven.

Anyway I think Shipley will do well with those guards beside him. Are you going for a ZBS or power?

For what it's worth pff ranks Grubbs as the number 5 guard last yr with strong grades in every category. Here is an interesting stat. Combined number of qb hits/sacks/hurries for thd top five guards:

    Mathis: 20

    Yanda: 11-how impressive is that?

    Boone: 20

    Moore: 20

    Grubbs: 22

    Iupati: 21

  8. Sorry for the hold up fellas, it's been an awfully busy weekend.

Nevertheless, I think my pick was golden. Smells like a winner to me.

Good to see you have returned. Keep in mind if you are busy just leave your pick with someone. There are many of us willing to post picks for each other, then we don't have to all wait around for a full day for you. Thanks.

FYI I like the Robinson pick, gabes analysis of him was pretty much spot on. Shipley I would question weather he can be a reliable starter. He seems like more of a strong backup to me.

  9. Got bored and did a little "Dubs' coach speak" to my roster. Basically it is just a small defensive, offensive and team philosophy so other GMs get an idea of what type of team you built and how it may all operate on my roster page. Thought it may help with some of the analysis by SAM and others and at this point is not giving away any draft strategy. Would love to see other peoples philiosophies or "coach speak" as I call them, plus it gives you a place to defend your team makeup and your draft, even if it did not go to plan

Updated my roster with the team philosophies for offense and defense.
