Haha no I rushed it. Unless I can get 2 David Johnsons for one.
The Villains select...

Nick Folk, kicker
Tanner Purdum, long snapper
I have 8 rookies 3 offense and 5 defense. Which I think is a good number. 7 picks and a UDFA. Just realized I have a pretty good mix of picks too:
1 first
2 seconds
1 third
2 fourths
1 fifth
1 UDFA

We need to get him to sign up.
Johnson can be a good lead blocker when needed at TE or FB. Happy to get West. I think he's more of an all around player than Davis and anoth Chief RB. Also proven he can start if called upon behind Ajayi.
The Villains select.

David Johnson Tight End /Full back

Charcandrick West, RB

But he was clearly put in there on passing downs instead of D. Smith. Correa has been hit and miss in coverage and again, we're talking about camp here, not actual games. You won't really know what he can do until we see him in actual game situations. A knock on him in scouting is that he's not very agile or quick in change of direction. But, he didn't have to do much coverage in college so we'll see. All reports are pretty positive on him so I am certainly hoping for the best.
Yeah pff is aweful now without all the backup stats they took off the site which could help us put that grade in context. Idk. I'll reserve judgment until we see this new group in action.
Nice! Maybe we can attract a few more replacements!

Almost to the end of this, guys.
3 more times around for me to fill 53
Got my picks. Went with some reserve DBs /special teams guys. I feel like I have had Biggers on every team I've done.
The Villains select...

Kelcie McCray, Safety

EJ Biggers, Cornerback

I would say late morning on a Thursday would be one of the worst possible times for most people.
Two rounds in one day! Haha. I'm sure anyone could have guessed I'd be going with Cardale. If he can sit he could end up being a better player than some of this years higher picks. Went with my second ivy leaguer in a row with Devalve.
The Villains select...

Cardale Jones, QB

Seth Devalve, Tight End

Lansanah has been a solid player over the last two years and has finally found a home in Miami, where he could stick and potentially even push for a starting job. It's a strange move to bring in Spikes considering that he was just beaten out by Lansanah, but it's purely a speculative addition and I'm fine with taking the gamble this late, especially since my LB corps has a good deal of depth. I'm intrigued by the fact that Spikes is attempting to find a team as I've always been a fan of his ability on the field. At worst, he'll fizzle out, which won't hurt my depth considering the pieces already there. At best, and I mean very best, he could be my starting Mike or Sam and be a thumping force for on a two-down basis. It's a stretch, and I'm not as invested in this working out since I figured last year that he'd be on a team, but it won't hurt much at this point.
I'll be honest I didn't realize Spikes was still out looking for work. I thought he was done. He's had some good years.

I've rarely listened to the radio in two years. Podcasts are vastly superior.

Why ruin perfectly good bourbon with tomato juice. That's a travesty!
Brown is stuck behind an extremely talented group of receivers. Word is he's ahead of Nelson.
Toner is is a guy that can help bring more toughness to this Oline. Something I think you really want in a back up olinemen.
The Villains select...

Jaron Brown, wide receiver

Cole Toner, Guard/tackle

but back to who set the precedent. Again if 19 of 24 top 5 picks have faced this same type of issue then it's not a precedent being set by the Chargers.
Why not side with the player? When teams negotiate their being shrewd but players are selfish? No it's s business negotiation.
So so why should he let the Chargers be an exception with a clear precedent set in these matters. ?

Bosa wants ton of guaranteed money. Typical rookie contracts are typically standard and structured in similar guidelines. Bosa wants a 'manziel proof' contract to will offer him money even if he goes out of the rail.
Its not misconception, Bosa is the one being unreasonable
It seems that Bosa & The Chargers haven't talked since last Thursday. PFT says the sticking points remain a fully guaranteed contract with offset language and whether his bonus will be paid in full this year. The Chargers want offset language and a deferral of a significant portion of his signing bonus into next year. Thing is Bosa would accept either one, and he's been willing to take one since May.

This whole thing is on the Chargers themselves not Bosa for wanting to be cheap.
3 hours ago, Tiznut said:If 19 of the last 24 got on or the other then it's not sd setting the precedent with bosa
The precedent is set with those guys. Chargers haven't picked in the top 5 and are being contrary. I'm not sure why so many have the natural reaction to jump on players and take teams side.
4 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:Isn't bosa asking for more guaranteed than 3rd overall is slotted to make?
That's the misconception that was floating around. They are negotiating off sets or up front pay out of bonus. Bosa will take one or the other ( of which 19 of the 24 previous top 5 picks have gotten). Chargers are holding on to both based on their team precedent only.

I don't think there's any rule on limits. I think we just get tired of drafting but at the current pace the game is much more fun.
