  1. Honestly I had to look him up. You seem to have unearthed a hidden gem. He played 672 snaps last yr and produced: 9 sacks, 12 qb hits, 24 qb pressures, 1 forced fumble and a pick-6. Well done.
  2. Like tuck, it has been a couple years since he was playing at a high level. I would have considered him as an olb in the 34 as well, but I like my choice better. I would certainly consider him over will smith who has never reached the pass rush potential he was billed to have. He started out pretty hot but it has been since 2009 that he's produced a great impact.
  3. This is one of the steelers I didn't want to name by name yesterday in that discussion. Far and away better pick than mike Adams. As you mentioned capable of playing lt, even better plaing rt for you. Well done. You have one of my favorite teams so far.
  4. I had Zuttah as the top ranked center available... looks like you were going to take another one of my guys, at least he is long gone before my turn this time. BTW, I would definitely put him at center considering the best available now is probably a rookie or unproven player, and Guard is extrememly deep still.
  5. Coincidence tebow is signed just before hernandez is entagled with the law? Or belichek knew he needed a tight end?
  6. I was going back and forth b/w hayden and taylor but I had to make the smarter medical pick. To be honest if it got back to me I would have taken haden and rolled w two rookie corners. Imo adams is not the best steelers tackle available. D smith, quite early for him imo. His health and age are big questions Tuck has had two down yrs in a row. Tough to imagine him getting back to 10 form.
  7. I still think you made the right decision. The rhodes you got will make a greater impact and corner is deeper than safety right now I love the sherman/rhodes combo for dubs team though.
  8. I think it is very hard to admit when these icons just aren't what they once were. Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, have been the gold standard in the NFL at the safety position for the last decade plus and no one else is even close. It has been a joy to watch these 2 athletic freaks do battle all these years, but the fact is neither is close to what they once were. Personally I am building my team with a strong favor towards youth because I want this team to compete every single year for a decade, unfortunately Ed and Troy are not the best choice for that at this point of their careers. Just because these guys are going in to the hall of fame doesn't make them the best choices for right now.
  9. Timmons is a no brainer yes. Ben yes one of the top 10 QBs in the league. Heyward I really like - Just surprised you took him this early with others on the board, will not name names now. I had targeted Heyward but not as early as you grabbed him. Jones yes I understand falling in love with certain rookies, everyone knows I love Hopkins which is why he is on my team.. so I get that. Again there is a more proven Steeler on the board in my opinion that I would have taken (not the same position)
  10. I'm less surprised with how many Steelers you are taking compared to WHICH Steelers you are taking. The Clark pick in my estimation was a solid one. Others a bit questionable. there have been several Steelers I have looked at and came very close to taking one in the last round, they just haven't fallen to me in the round I want them.
  11. Roach... I don't know about this pick. I realize the ILB position is extremely thin currently. Roach has been pretty much a part time player for the Bears and hasn't really excelled in any area. I also don't think the Bears would have let him go if they thought he could do more with losing urlacher. However he can play multiple positions and won't get embarrassed so you certainly could have done worse.
  12. I'm fine with that comparison lol.
  13. he is pretty much an idiot, and being stupid always seems to catch up with you, no matter how much talent you have.(ie.. Chad Johnson and many others)... Also I am trying to stay away from anyone I wouldn't want to root for in this game.
  14. Very nice plan for your team, I like the direction, makes a lot of sense, sucks you had to take my guy though lol. There are several more high profile tight ends still available which is why I figured he was safe.
  15. Wow! I was planning to grab housler much later, I didn't think he would be very well known and pretty under the radar, I guess not, nice pick man.
  16. Actually after looking at your team which is strongly geared toward the pass I would have looked at a guard who is a better pass protector.
  17. Same here. Good choice. Especially as a run blocker.
  18. Cook at safety? Why. He has proven he can cover well on the outside.
  19. I agree with miamis sentiment. Not sure how he is on the decline. Not sure why he hasn't signed anywhere. Yes he is 30 but he is playing at a high level. He was Pffs #4 overall safety last yr. that's a pretty high level I would say. Have to think his cut was due to saving the cards 6 mil on the year. I haven't heard of any medical issue keeping him unsigned Total steal for arnie.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised to see him picked pretty soon actually. I have seen other wideouts go i have been quite surprised about.
  21. Grim is keeping us all in suspense... I'm pretty sure he is going to take one of my guys.
  22. Long is a good prospect, I think it might be a bit much to line him up at left tackle right off the bat. I think I would put oher on that side to be honest, as unpopular as that might be around here.Actually he would probably be best as a guard. Which this team also needs.
  23. hear anything back yet?
  24. Are you serious? Are you talking about 2011 moss?
