Ray had a Good game against the Colts but that was it. Everyone was healthy in the playoff loss against the Patriots 2 years ago. What is your excuse for that one? That one is solely on Dean Pees. Dean Pees played soft the entire 2nd half and we gave up two 14 point leads. And just to be clear, I am not saying Ray was the only reason for our SB win, but the team rallied around him to send him into retirement with another ring. You failed to mention Reed's contributions, pollard's, Ihedigbo's, Anquan's contributions..... None of those guys were on the team 2 months after we raised the trophy.

if you follow the Ravens closely, the hiring of Trestman over Gase made sense, the Ravens knew Gase was going to be a head coach so they wanted consistency but it did not work with Trestman. I agree with your point that we need a creative OC but who now? We have to bear in mind that we want someone who will stay for at least 3 to 4 yrs. We cannot hire a HC candidate to be our OC. If the Jets would have beat the lowly Bills in week 17 last year Pitt was out of the playoffs after the devastating blow we handed them in week 16. If Pees actually had some balls pitt would have missed the playoff again this year and that would have been 5 playoff misses in 6 years since their SB appearance. That is more than reason enough for him to get fired. After Pitts last SB appearance they have 1 playoff win and most of their appearances in the playoffs have not been earned, they were gifted just like our only playoff appearance since our last SB trip.

I completely disagree that a change at HC is not needed. Harbs lost this team half way thru the 2012 season. They won the SB thanks to Ray, Ed and the gang. Since Ray and Ed's departure the Ravens have only made the playoffs once and nobody seems to remember that we had to mount a 4th Qrt comeback in Cleveland in week 17 that year and we still needed the help of a botched 25 yard field goal by KC vs SD. I do believe a change at DC is more urgent than a change in HC. Our Def has not been good for 4-5 years now. Its easy to pad your stats when you play Buff (OC fired 2 weeks later), Browns x2, Jags, Jets, Redskins, Cincy without AJ Green, Pitt with Big Ben 9 days removed from a meniscal cleanup and a bunch of other putrid offenses. The moment we played a decent team we got manhandled. If ya'll cant see that then you are blind. Carr completed 64% of his passes for 3900 yds, 28 TDs and only 6 interceptions. Before yesterday he was being given serious MVP consideration. So yes, I consider him a really good QB. One decent campaign doesn't make him a "GREAT" QB. Are you gonna tell me he is Elite "like" Joe, just because he's had a decent year?

Jimmy wouldn't be shadowing Brown even if he was playing. They move Brown all over the formation, and Jimmy isn't coming down in the slot to cover him. Jimmy's impact will be felt far worse next week when/if AJ Green returns. We often double and triple team Brown anyway, which isn't as easy to do with Green. We shall see Jacket. The sad truth is that if we dont come out victorious this Sunday, Jimmy can completely blanket AJ next week and Flacco can hang 99 points on the Bengals and it wont mean SQUAT! They said it was a "significant ankle injury" Opinions seem to guess that it was a high ankle sprain. When Lewis was diagnosed with high ankle sprain, they said it was a 6 week injury. First round of playoffs (if we make it) is right at 4 weeks. I realistically think this is the earliest possible time we could see Jimmy play. AGAIN-I repeat--This is MY GUT FEELING, not a medical opinion because I have no clue the severity of the injury or even exactly what the injury is. I agree with you 100%. I think week 1 of the playoffs is the earliest we see him. Week 2 probably makes more sense. If we take care of business and get a home playoff game, maybe we'll play a team like KC where JImmy's absent wouldn't be a complete disaster week 1 of the dance More like week 1 of the 2017 season is the earliest you will see Jimmy on the field. He will be out for 4-6 weeks and the Ravens life support runs dry this Xmas Sunday. If we don't show a fierce pass rush with well disguised blitzes I doubt we will win this game. Not having Jimmy to shadow Antonio Brown makes me nervous. Very hard to botch a 2yd checkdown consistently. Stats can be misleading. Here's a little anecdote: In my high school alumni golf tournament a couple years ago there was a prize for whoever hit the straightest drive on a given hole. Someone piped a drive 275yds down the center of the fairway that landed 1 yard away from the line marking the straightest drive. Later that day the school principal topped his drive and the ball rolled 40-50yds and landed right on the line. Who won the straightest drive contest? the piped 275yd drive or the 50yd squiggly runner that ended on the line? Moral of the story, stats and accolades can be misleading. Just because Joe is completing 70% of his passes, he sure aint making nothing out of it. So in the end pretty useless stat line.

Good game last night? Are you serious? I understand how some fans are very pessimistic but you are delusional my friend. There was nothing in last nights game that inspires confidence. The supposed #1 defense allowed 496Yds and our offense is abysmal to watch. The Def ranking is skewed by many factors including playing a garbage schedule at the beginning of the year (Bills and Jags), Browns x2, NYJ, NYG, Pitt with Ben 10 days removed from surgery, Bengals without AJ... Ever since week 2 when the Browns hung 20Pts on us in 7mins I knew this team was garbage. At least we weren't the ones that gave Cleveland their only win (if they ever get it). Keep believing what you want to believe but its been blatantly clear since the preseason that this team was never destined to finish over .500. The way things are going the Ravens wont make the playoffs for another 2-3 years.
