I absolutely love how SSS wanted to pay homage to our living legend...Ray Lewis by doing his famous dance in the pregame introduction. While NO ONE can do it or nail it quite like the originator himself...it was a beautiful thing to see!
WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU RAY!!
GO RAVENS!!
very well said!
i was happy to see us rolling the pocket and using shotgun and mixing runs and screens more into the play calling. It helped make play action useful. We can build off this. Joe still has to learn to throw the ball away and not force it. I don't think he will get better with his pocket awareness. but he can still make better decisions. I would not give him many option passing routes. He needs to be in a modified college spread system. When he does not have to think he is great, two minute drills, end of game. He also has to stop zeroing in on receivers. Lastly, he has a hard time seeing the left side of the field, he misses open reads to the left quite often, and when he throws left, you know it, he stares down the receiver on the left and over torques his body. Marty CAN fix that.
I think Flacco needs a floor length mirror that says, YOU are the reason for the frustrations on offense. Not the line play this week, not drops, receivers were open all day. Rookie corners can figure out where the ball goes, he is predictable, not accurate, and easily confused on his reads. 9 years , same flaws. We just have to be real as a team with his ability and the amount of cap space he takes up. tough choices will be made in order to put talent around him. He has to pay us back in two to three years and give us some cap space back. He can not command that much of a cap and win. In fact , none of the elite paid QB's are winning. Its a team!
Tavon Young shutting down Antiono Brown, Alex Lewis top PFF grade, Chris Moore scoop and score, Kenneth Dixon fighting for yards with no blocking and Matt Judon sack. What a 4th and 5th Round of the Draft!
don't forget the undrafted guys too! we just have to be better at 1st thru 3rd round picks lol
Everyone was better but Joe. He has to make better decisions. As a player he has peaked, his salary will ascend. If he cant correct this back foot throw bad habit he has developed, we will be in trouble. He cant blame the line this week. They played much better.
SiZZZZZZZLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!! I AM SHOCKED HE IS BACK BEFORE DOOM!
Taliafarro is as good as cut now. He may be able to beat Buck out, but one of them will be gone. And as far as Perriman goes, he is a Unicorn, Big foot....I hear about it , people swear they exist, but I never seen it.
Dunno how you guys feel about this - I like the idea of a lot of our starters resting a lot in the pre-season. We all know what they are capable of - but I would love to see our backups and their backups play as much as possible.
And then, when Week#1 comes, we'll see our starters.
I like that Idea too. The only one I want to get on the field to see is maybe the O- line minus Yanda. They need to gel with likely two new starters on line.
The only position I am not 100% sold on is Defensive end. Im not sure we have the Guy . Also, How has Zuttah looked in practice coming off an injury. Haven't heard much. Last year there was a lot of talk around Carl Davis. NO updates on him. DId he stack his offseason.
I am rooting for him. He has the ability to be the best back on the team. I think he surprises a lot of folks.
I really want Buckner. He can start week one for us over Guy who is not a starter in my opinion. Tunsill is starting to look good as I have no idea what Monroe is going to look like. Ramsey may be a pipe dream, I don't think he will fall to us. Hargraves is not worth the 6th pick. Bosa would be a back up for this year but will never give you what Sizzle or Doom brings , so taking him that soon might not be so good. I don't want to be Ozzie right now.
He would be my pick hands down! Talk about Game Changer. Most of our big Sack numbers come from the OLB's and then Blitzers either from the Secondary or MLB's. Having the ability to Get pressure from our 5 technique and our three technique if we had Buckner and Jernigan on the same line would be amazing
Elam and Art Brown need to do a lot of stepping up. Both seem to be hampered by the same things, confidence and decision making. When you hesitate you miss tackles , plain and simple. What are the odds of both them making the 53 man team this season?
I think we have to stick with Monroe this season. His cap hit would not be something we can deal with smartly. I have a feeling he will be good this year. You can predict injuries and his have not been the same area of his body so I don't think it will be chronic. I don't think Thomas will be in the plans. I think we will go DE or CB first round. OLB for sure in the first 4 rounds. O line in the first 4 rounds as well.

I think Upshaw is much better than what we would more than likely get from a 5th round or later pick. He did a lot of the Dirty work.
Now I think We need a LT, a good 5 technique, Corner, backup Guard/Center, Outside LB before the season starts and we will be golden.
I hope Will Hill gets his life together. He has enough money to live the rest of it without finances being an issue. He would have been an expensive back up if he stayed. We will go a double Free Safety look which might not be bad since both Weddle and Webby are sure tacklers. This is a big opportunity for Elam as the only real Strong option we have at the moment. I hope he can learn with a new DB coach and Weddle as a leader in the Secondary.
Lewis goes. Webby will be nickel corner,( really a starter in todays NFL), he plays the middle well. Brooks has the speed we need as well. I would not mind Elam putting on a few and being a third down LB. Many safeties have done that with success and he can carry muscle on his frame.
I think Pass Rusher in the first round is all but certain now!

They no longer have to wait till June first. The can designate a player a "June first" cut and either spread out the cap hit, or straight out cut and absorb the hit all in this year.
Weddle would make our big nickel situation awesome. He and Webby deep and Hill up in the Box. Hmmm....Webby can come up in the box and play nickel corner on 11 and 10 personnel sets on tradition nickel sets. I do hope we resign Upshaw however. He can set the edge and Smith is not ready for that roll yet.
This is already proving to be an interesting off season. I am not sure if we can depend on Suggs coming back as a big impact player. His mind seems to be on a great deal of other things. I see and hear about how everyone else is attacking their rehab and he is still playing childish games. Why was he over another woman's house, didn't he just get engaged last year? The next day he was on IG liking several girls pics. He is a head case. We really need to draft a few pass rushers. Right now on the outside we have a player who is Sizzled out and left us Doomed LOL
This is the best news today by far! Raven for life!
Players who want to be the highest paid after a season in which we struggled kind of irk me. I know they have to worry about themselves and it is a business, but I don't like being selfish and in the business of loosing. KO, can go and be Ben Grubbs 2.0. And Tucker really surprised me, especially with all the misses at home. I hope he works out a deal long term and follow the lead of Stover who can tell you a thing or two about how if you are loyal to the Ravens, they will be loyal to you. I am sure his wolfpack member Sam can say the same.
This is a big year for Ozzie. He has done what he said he was going to do If you listen. He got us strong up the middle and younger. We have a very talented and young interior line on D. We have a good if not great set of interior lineman on O. I still like Rick and think he will be better after fully healing from his foot issues. He wants playmakers in the secondary. Webb will be one, and safety is his natural position. Hill is a beast. Now he wants to get playmakers on the edges. Jimmy can be a shut down corner. I know another is on the radar. A pass rusher is coming, you have to believe that. He has shored up special teams. Give they guy a break. We are competitive while rebuilding, last year was injuries not a lack of competitive talent.

I think we can have a great offensive game against the cowboys. We have problems with middle rushing teams, Cowboys Blitz a generate pressure off the edge. They also have finesse rushers, our tackles can handle that. Stanley is working on power rushers but against speed guys he can be really good for us. Secondly, they have smaller corners who we can exploit with Perriman and Wallace. They have fast LB's so our TE play may suffer. They are great against the run, but we will get our 3YPC anyway, that's all we can do right now until we get a better Center and some good health luck. This game is more winnable than I think we are getting credit for. I think we match up well.
