  1. Fix this Oline to give joe some protection and open holes for West. You do that and we have a third ring!
  2. His body has some Man strength now. I think those three guys with Big B will be a force! Still not sold on our 5 tech's yet. I think this is where we go 1st round. 5 tech or OLB. Right tackle would be a strong third choice.
  3. We don't need 4 decent receivers at one time unless there's injuries. The 3rd WR in our system never put up quality production stats... and that's in a pass first offense. On a balanced team that runs the ball well, this offense is only going to yield production out of 1 TE and 2 WRs for the most part. Your 3rd WR is going to get maybe 3-4 targets a game and probably only catch 2-3 balls. That's why I wish we didn't over saturate the Roster with so many WR's And TE's . We could have built up better depth in the pass rush and Oline corps. Things where people tent to rotate in and out of successfully. We have to build the trenches with talent and depth.
  4. LOL, not saying at one time. I'm saying if you use another 1st or maybe even 2nd rounder on a WR AND sign Boldin, one of those two guys (or Perriman) simply isn't going to play that much. Would at best have a role similar to Aiken's. That's why if we address WR early in the draft, I don't think you'll see us sign another veteran like him. Agree, we have a vet WR already. Lets get young, and stay fast. We have TE's that can do what Boldin did in Pitta and company.
  5. I am really happy Webby came back. He played well last year. We will have three of the top 16 safety's in the NFL, with an up and coming young corner and two vets on the outside. Great! Plus Webby is better in the back end than Weddle and Tony right now. Just great. He is flexible and can play slot corner, nickel safety in big nickel. I think we can get a MLB as an UFA, we have a lot of room on the roster this year to accommodate such players and we usually find gems there. I think O line, interior pass rushers, OlB depth are top priorities. I honestly want Boldin too!
  6. my biggest problem is even if he is converted to an ILB, he does not have the speed to be a WIll. Mosley is the MIKE now, he struggled a little as the Will when we had Smith playing the Mike. Both struggled with deep drops. Mosley has improved in that regard, but you cant put Correa next to him. We would get eatin up by TE's or WR's and Back flexed in the slot. Or have to rely on sub packages too much. OLB is where he should stay. He can work on his hands and upper body strength. He has a good lower body and good bend. We do have one of the best linebackers coaches around, so if Wink thinks he can play inside or out, im not doubting that. He is not a coach I worry about.
  7. You Are correct! And McLellan is also better suited for a Mike and not a Will. He cant cover. And While Mosley got a lot better, he does not have the range to be a will either. We will either draft or convert a SS in the off season. The person has to be able to go sideline to sideline and get depth. Correa struggled with this too, I don't see him as that option ever.
  8. I agree, For the last few years or so , I have gone to at least two to three road games a season. Trying to see all 32 stadiums, well now 30. I always wonder if I am being Biased. The M and T experience is amazing. From the tailgating, to the entertainment outside, to the marching band lead in , to the educated and respectful fans.....We are pretty darn good. Great job Mr B!
  9. Every time we have a run game conversation I get confused. Here are my questions. If everyone says 4 out of the 5 parts of our line was so good, can a bad center really wreck an O line or are we over valuing some of the other parts? Why did we not run behind our full back more? Why are all of the coaches surprised we did not run more, don't they call the plays? Why are we staying an a Zone scheme when it only worked the Kubiac year, our line was made to maul not finesse?
  10. Zuttah is the worst player on the team by far. His missed blocks, OLE style blocking, never looks for second level blocks, horrible!!!! THink about it, if we have the best guard on one side, and a rookie that everyone is raving about on the other, why do we lead the NFL in up the middle pressures. One, is because Joe cant step up on the pocket if there is none. The opposite reason why ours stink, we cant get pressure up the middle. The other is Zuttah has passed his prime, he was a stop gap from not having a plan during the GIno days. Should have been gone, we should have had options.
  11. I would say Center, DE, OLB would be the biggest. Pressure up the middle killed us on passing and running plays. We have not had a beast DE in a long time. WE can not win with sub par 3 and 5 techniques on a three man front. All of our OLB's except Sizz are situational. He is the only one that can play rush , pass and coverage. Each other one is a liability when the play to there side is not there strength, see doom against the run, or Judon crashing down instead of setting the edge, or McClellan covering anything, pathetic. Also depth at tackle and guard, Nickel corner, Nickel safety , and a better back up QB that can push average Joe.
  12. Here is my honest assessment of the year. We need dogs on the D line. Jernigan does not have an all game motor. Guy is a stop gap at DE and we have no depth there. Brandon is a beast against the run, a liability in passing downs, he can not push the pocket back. Not sure why , he is strong as an OX. Pierce did in the beginning but he hit a rookie wall and need better conditioning. Judon will be a beast. Doom did not earn his roster salary spot. Sizz is from another World and is a true Raven. Orr and Mosley are good, they both need to work on getting faster and better in coverage but they are far better than last year. Webby did great after week 6. Weddle played well but the tape shows him a step late from being a true super impact, not mad at him but he left some plays out there too. Zuttah is the worst starter we have. He must go. Rick will leave because we can afford him. Oline will be fine however. Joe, I think the injury hurt him more mentally than anything. He also has peaked, the contract is not as bad as it looks, QB's all around him are about to get paid more. In three years, he will be an average paid QB and he is Average. Love the RB's we have. West is better that he is getting credit for, Dixon is a star. The receivers are OK. I just wish one time we can get a guy that can snatch a ball out the air like Q, Get separation like SSS, have speed like Wallace. I know Odell beckam is a giant lol . We will need another good draft. We need to win with our 2nd and 3rd rounders. We have not in a while. Juan must go...had to leave with that one! Harbs will get us back to the promised land.
  13. easy, you play to win the game! They should not try anything other that win. No rest players, play young players, none of that. That's for pre season. Win against Cincy because that's what you are paid to do. I don't care about draft position.
  14. First Proud of Dem boyz in Purple! Second, this is how good we are, not quite playoffs, but better than most. Figured as much from the beginning. There will be some changes Zuttah - Gone. He is horrible. He purposely looks off Lb's and tries to combo block instead of releasing and getting to the second level defender. Most of the cut back runs that go no where is because he can not get to the weak side backer. He also is immediate pushed back on pass protection. We need a 5 tech. Guy, and whoever else in that spot never gets their named called. We can not push a pocket up the middle if 2/3 of our three man line just holds still. We need a 3 tech to compliment Brandon on passing downs, the guy does not move forward, great run stopper. We need a push too. Doom, bye bye. Can have a situational pass rusher that has no snap left. CB's we all know Last , and this is tough. Pees got to go. I love him. He is top 10 DC in the NFL. But there is a reason the Pats let him go. He can get you a consistently good D. HE can not produce a D that can win for you. We need that since we have to keep Joe. And we get what we get with that.
