How interesting this is: Jimmy Smith originally wanted jeres #21 and even mentioned plans of buying it off Webb... then he was assigned #22. Now, #21 is available, but seems like Jimmay has settled with #22 for good - so now Jefferson has to give up his #22 :D

    Funny.

One thing i will say is that Jimmy chose 22 since his number was gone.

  2. Speaking of "who is that" can we talk about West wearing 27? Wonder what the motivation behind that was. My buddy loves it, but it still feels too soon for me for another rb to wear 27

he wanted 28 but Trawick has it so he got the closest number to it, and 29 was taken as well..

  3. It doesn't help that Perriman wasn't primary first round target. He was targeted for he second round but the Steelers snatched up  Bud Dupree and forced Ozzie's hand. Ozzie returned the favor with max Williams. I've said for ages that a bigtime receiver is not likely to land in Baltimore because Ozzie can't draft them and he has no intention of paying for one.  He just adding more duct tape than to properly address the need. Even if Perriman turns out to be a gem later on he's history at the end of his rookie contract.  Ozzie's value is more important than market value.

Breshad will probably be better than Phillip Dorsett who was draft a few spots later, but NFL analysts projected Breshad earlier than where the Ravens drafted him how was he a 2nd rounder?

  4. Monroe's contract: 2014 $1 million (fully guaranteed) $3.2 million 2015 $5.5 million (fully guaranteed) $7.7 million 2016 $6.5 million $8.7 million 2017 $6.75 million $8.95 million 2018 $$6.75 million $8.95 million. Cut him after the season and you take a cap hit of $6.6m in 2016 and we're done with this mess.

If he is cut next season Cap hit: $8.7M

Cap Savings: $2.1M Who are you going to get to replace him for $2M?

    Dead money of $6M

  5. we had the lead with 4.58 left, we could've ran it more. our bread and butter is the running game, most often when the ravens pass more than they run we lose, with the way talf and forsett running i would've run out the clock with lead.

Yeah when Trestman called for a pass to the right and it was incomplete stopping the clock, and even if the player caught it he would still have went out of bounds. You can see Harbaugh shaking his head at the play calling.

  6. Maryland that's all fine and good about a 5th rounder for Monroe at the time but No way, no how should we have given him the contract we gave him. He's getting paid as a top 10 LT in the league and I'm sorry his performances just hasn't lived up to it. People can neg me all day long on this one because I have been saying it for a while now about him. Even when he's playing Joe's getting pressure from his side because the DE's blowing by him. Hurst for being undrafted has played just as well for a fraction of the cost. It's all about value and I'm just not seeing it with Monroe.

the top 20 Tackles get $5 Mil/yr atleast we get a top 13 based on contract at $7.5 Mil/Yr is he a top 13 Tackle in the league? I dont want the debacle of waiting for Jared Gaither to come back from whatever injury or Switching Micheal Oher back and forth, so it is good to have some stability at the position.  Hurst was an undrafted lineman last year not exactly someone you want to put in the most important position on the OL.

in terms of Cash this season Michael Oher is getting $3.67Mil

    and Monroe $5.5 Mil

who do we turn to if Hurst gets hurt? Tony Hills, Deondre Wesley?

  7. First game of the season and honestly losing Suggs for the years hurts more than the loss. Suggs is the leader of this team, in my opinion, a lot of people say Joe but in reality its 55. He is unquestionably the most respected player in that locker room. He carries himself as the leader of this team and he does it effortlessly, Flacco is more of a let my play do the talking for me kinda guy, which is admirable but not when u make the decisions that he made on Sunday against the Broncos. Our offensive line really had the biggest issues with dealing with the Denver pass rush but thats just not an excuse anymore, I'll be the first to say it and i don't care who disagrees, Eugene Monroe is overrated and overpaid. He has yet to complete a full season for the Ravens, coming from a trade with the Jags that was one of the reasons he stood out to the front office, his durability. He didn't miss a single start in 6 years in Jacksonville. Now its rare that he doesn't get hurt, I could almost bet any kind of money that the Ravens aren't really questioning this already and looking for a replacement. Next years draft I'm positive that they will be looking at the best left tackle prospects. Money being wasted on Eugene Monroe could easily pay Yanda more for an extension or even extend KO and keep the middle of this OL intact. #EugeneIceUpSon

I like the depth at which u made mention that our LT was solid and never missed a game as a Jaguar, now i dont agree with you when we made the trade we had Bryan McKinney, and we desperately needed a LT as Oher wasnt LT material.

You commenting on this after he missed last year and got a concussion this year is panic.
