Those comments are part of the reason why I won't read the comments to anything Peterson-related. You're not the only one bothered by it...

I thought the NFL couldn't fumble any worse than they did with the Rice situation. This is just one big giant mess, and Goodell dug himself into a bigger hole by not lifting Peterson's suspension. I mean way to be consistent with this new policy, one guy gets his suspension lifted but another stays suspended? 

 

Then you see the part where the hearing officer actually used to work for the league. From PFT...

 

 

Henderson, a former league official, was appointed to hear the appeal by Commissioner Roger Goodell.

So basically the fix was in since Henderson used to work for the NFL and Goodell hired a person who knew could save his job and save face. Hopefully when this decision is appealed, it is brought to the attention of an un-biased judge and now Peterson can claim the fix was in because of who Goodell hired.

 

Unbelievable how AP got screwed over. If Rice got his suspension lifted then AP and Greg Hardy should be both be allowed to play. Goodell has now dug himself a hole he can't get out of unless he resigns as Commissioner.

If I remember correctly, the reason Rice got his suspension (the second one) lifted was because it was basically double jeopardy.

Had the best weird question ever today. Someone called to see if her mom could use a picture of a coupon since her mom lives closer to our store. Mom comes in, pulls up picture of coupon her iPhone. Then she asked me if I could tell from that picture of the coupon what scents her daughter wants.

Not sure if she thought it was secretly encoded and we could scan it and get a list or what...

Adrian Peterson won't be back with the Vikings until next season. He can continue to receive his paycheck while appealing his suspension, which he is very much expected to do.

It's usually a personal connection for me.  If there's something that I've experienced and can relate to, I get more passionate about it and realize what help is needed.  Most of my donations are in the health related charities being that I work in the health care industry.  Being around it everyday really opens my eyes.

What is it that brings you over the line from caring about a cause to donating goods/money/time toward it? Obviously you have to agree with the principles of it whatever they may be, but what drives you to do such things?
