Teams make so much more money from TV deals than fans (3 times at least) so no way there will be black-outs. Just look at the Jaguars who basically have tarps covering their entire upper deck so the stadium is "sold out" even though there's only 65,000 fans in a 85,000 seat stadium.

skura would need to put on some weight. he is listed at 294. birk was 315 and travis frederick from dallas is 318. zuttah is 305 but it shows against good nose tackles when he gets pushed back. zuttah is serviceable but i agree that we need to find his replacement soon I'd be great if we could get Ethan Pocic out of LSU. He's 6'7", 315 lbs, and could play guard his rookie year then transition to center. Not sure where he's going to be drafted, but if we want to build a big, physical, offensive line, he'd be a great start. He's a beast for sure and probably the 1st C off the board. He's probably a 2nd Round pick maybe to Carolina but I doubt he falls past Cleveland's first pick in Round 3. The name no one is talking about to the Ravens is Cam Robinson. He could be there at 16 and could slide into the RT or LG spot (If Lewis moves to RT). He a big nasty mauler and road grader. And Ozzie loves him some Bama boys. He's not a LT so he could easily fall in the 1st Round. I also like Tyler Orlosky from WV. Needs to pack on some muscle but has that nastiness you want. Could be available 3rd Round Comp.

Funny how you take the fastest time for King but not for Jimmy. King runs consistently 4.5-4.6 (His slowest time was 4.63). Jimmy's fastest time was 4.32 (his slowest was 4.53). Jimmy actually ran a 4.49 at the combine, we'll see what King runs. But 40 times are not a good measure for CB & cover-ability - look at the 20 yard shuttle & 3 cone drills. Marcus Peters had a 7.03 3-cone and a 4.08 20 yard shuttle (really good numbers). Jimmy Smith had a 6.93 3-cone and a 4.06 20 yard shuttle. These are the numbers the Ravens use more so than 40 times. Case in point - Tavon was the fastest CB in 20 yard shuttle (12th in 3 cone) last year. Canady & Chris Moore also were near the top. King would make a great coverage Safety which is why I said he would be a good fit for the Ravens. He might make a decent CB in the right system but I wouldn't put him on an island and I sure wouldn't trade back up into the 1st Round to draft him....but I'm also not the All-Universe GM/Scout/HC like SD. Dance for me!

Not a good fit for the Ravens, he is to slow to cover WRs and to small for a ILB , not great value for 1st rd pick , Ravens could and should do a lot better with the 1st rounder Please do your research before making comments. A simple google search puts Peppers at 6.1 207lbs and his 40 time is around 4.34.Ed Reed 5.11 207lbs and ran his 40 time at 4.57. Ray Lewis 6.1 at 240lbs.and his 40 time was 4.37. A quote from Ray Lewis before he retired,"The game is changing," Lewis said. "The game ain't no more 250, 260-pound fullback and you don't have offenses running the ball 25, 30, 40-plus times. That was my thought process was coming into this year. Playing lighter is much smarter for me." Exactly. Peppers is faster & stronger than both Weddle & Webb. Nobody would ask him to cover Antonio Brown (just like we don't ask Weddle to). But next year, we face Tyler Eifert x 2, Zach Miller, Eric Ebron, Delanie Walker, Jared Cook, Kyle Rudolph, etc. Not to mention that if we make the play-offs we'll probably see Gronk, Kelce, etc. Peppers could easily match-up with all of those guys in a big nickel package. He's really good at stopping the run, so our defense doesn't suffer against the run when going to a nickel package (as most defenses do). You could even line him up next to Mosley (taking Orr's spot) like the Cardinals do with Deone Bucannon (6'1" 211lbs 4.49 40 - 203 tackles in last 2 years).

Yea thats a vallid point. And really its not only about DBs and Pass Rushers, I just think that if we sign BWill to a huge contract now its going to be difficult to resign anyone of the guys leaving next year or the year after that. And I am sure the FO takes all of that into consideration. This may be a flawed way of looking at the situation but I just feel like BWills sphere of influence is just so limited. Not only to the middle of the field but also only on running plays. And i know there are other factors at play there. By taking on the double teams he gives the guys next to him more favorable match ups. And he keeps the ILBs clean which allows them to flow to the ball faster. I just think with Pierce on the team it would be wise to spend the money on some of the guys that are going to hit FA next year. And I am not saying that Pierce is going to play as good as BWills next year. I just don't think that the gap separating BWilll from Pierce is large enough to negativily impact the team on a consistent basis. In other words it is negligible. I don't think we will lose any games next year because Pierce is playing instead of BWill. But what do I know? There are some interesting options at cb this year that could come at a reasonable price. But of course the reason they would come at a reasonable price is because they sucked last year. I hear ya but I disagree that the difference is negligible. Pierce was really good - playing behind (or) next to BWill but what happens when he's the main man? Pippen was a great player playing with Jordan - not so much when by himself. But the bigger issue is this - you're looking at just replacing one player for one player but this is a team and the d-line is a unit. How big of a difference is there between BWill + Pierce vs Pierce + ?? How big of a difference is there between Pierce and the next guy? What happens if Pierce get hurts? We saw what happened with the lack of depth behind Jimmy. You basically have Pierce at the vet minimum for the next 3 years. If you pay BWill $10 million then you have both guys for a combined $11 million. I'd pay $11 million for TWO really good DT . You don't have to worry about that position again for 3 years even if 1 guy gets hurt. Plus, you don't really have any of your FA that you need to spend money on next year (Urschel & Jernigan really) and the Ravens will finally have some good cap space even if they re-sign BWill & Wagner.

Torrey Smith is a team guy, Mike Wallace is a ME guy. I would make that switch in a heartbeat - give me the guy that fights til the end, not the guy that disappears at the end.

Having Yanda/Lewis back to help block that NT helps immensely. Which btw, makes BWill so valuable - even though he doesn't get the sacks, he ties up 2 offensive linemen and still controls the A gaps.

yes we play a lot of zone coverage that's why were not in the Playoffs again this year because we get torched we should mix our coverage some zone and more man with safety over top guys like brady pick zone D apart that's why the steelers are home now Got to have CBs that can cover if you're going to play man. You want Shareece Wright man on man with Antonio Brown or Julian Edelman? No thanks. Brady picks every team apart.....

Stanley & Lewis are beasts on the left side. Zuttah played well when Lewis & Yanda played next to him. When Yanda had to move out of position & Vlad took over RG, Zuttah looked like an average C at best. He's serviceable if playing next to Lewis & Yanda. Yanda - RG, nuff said. If they re-sign Wagner this O-line is very good - 4-0 record when they all played together last year. Urshel is a solid "utility" back-up that can play the G & C positions. Need a road grader for the right side at Tackle & back-up to Yanda. A young C that can learn from Zuttah and take over the following year (no way I want a rookie C starting next year)

Would be a good fit for us. He's a zone coverage guy, rather than man coverage, and we play a ton of zone coverage. Smith-Tavon-King-Weddle-Webb nickle package looks pretty good. And our resident guru Mr. All-Universe GM/Scout/HC says he's Darrell Revis and we should take him the 1st Round.....lol

Safeties usual fall in the 1st Round. I know mocks have Adams & Hooker going before we pick but there's a chance that one of them could be there when we pick. Wouldn't mind Peppers either - a big hitting safety that can cover the Eiferts/Gronks of the NFL and still be a huge factor in the run game especially in the Big Nickel Package. Add in one of those top shelf CB in Round 2 and the secondary makes significant improvement. Marcus Williams of Utah is another really good safety we could target in Round 2-3.

There are now three camps of fans. The pragmatic ones, the sky is falling ones and a group that is somewhere in the middle because they understand the situation, but question some moves made by the FO and Harbs. First off, KO was being offered the most money in the league to play guard at $8.5 million a year, but I still think it was unclear whether that was to play LT or LG. I think it was LG, but that isn't important. KO got paid top 3 LT money. I think Ozzie could have tried to give a rebuttal offer of 10 a year, but KO seen that green and went running. We have been so pampered over the past decade and a Half because Ozzie had consistently either hit home runs on early picks that became legends like Lewis, JO, Reed, Suggs, Ngata, McAllister, RR, etc. But now we have had a few rough drafts where talent hasn't stuck and the fans now act as if we were the Browns. Be patient. One more very good draft like 16' and active FA period could easily make us a +10 win team. Flacco's development is discouraging and I don't think he is worth his contract, but the going rate for any half way competent QB is roughly $20 million a year and that was what Flacco got. Ozzie just likes kicking the can down the road though where he makes the deals cheap up front then back loads the deal where he expects restructures/cuts, but all that does is it gives us a boat load of dead cap space. That is why I pray he keeps Mosley's contract and others at consistent hits instead of ending up in cap hell. Exactly

I agree. But I think now that Wink is coaching the entire LB unit (not just the ILB as before) we got a good chance. Just look at what he did with Judon in his first year. We need that same type of coach for our WRs and DBs - I don't think Engram & Hewitt have what it takes. Look at what Frazier did with Tavon - something Hewitt hasn't done in his 5 years here.

Wow, 12 guys in the last 5 drafts? And 8 of them play d-line. That leaves Mack, Ray, Ford & Perry as outside pass rushers. Besides Mack, none of them did anything their first years (just like KC & Kaufusi) which according to your post makes them a bust....

I think it has to do more with not having a good WR coach to develop WRs than Ozzie picking them. There's a reason why the Squealers and Pats always develop good WRs - look at the resume of their WR coaches.....Antonio Brown was not very good his 1st two years in the league and it took Edelman 4 years to develop.

By what measure has Floyd been a bust? That's my point - it's too early to label someone a bust, But for a Top 10 pick to have 23 tackles and 7 sacks and only play 49% of the time is not exactly setting the world on fire. Z'Darious Smith had 20 tackles and 5.5 sacks his rookie year. Pernell McPhee had 16 tackles and 6 sacks his rookie year.

I agree with you on how we should spend our 1st Round pick - Cook, Foster, Davis, Pass Rusher, CB - basically the BPA. 2nd Round has to be a CB, if not taken in the 1st. But all of our TEs have serious question marks. Watson is old and coming off a major injury (might be a salary cap casualty). Gillmore is coming off back surgery and torn hammy - seems like he has more surgeries than catches....lol. Waller has bricks for hands. Boyle is more of blocking TE. That leaves Pitta & Mad Maxx. Pitta showed his good hands but he's clearly lost a step and the elusiveness he once had he's more Dallas Clark than Tyler Eifert. We need playmakers on both sides of the ball, period. We have some good talent and potential in Perriman & Dixon but that's about it. Even on defense, our best guys are Suggs (old), Smith (injury prone), Weddle & Mosley. No game changers. We have a solid and deep roster but no Bell, Brown, Julio, AJ Green, Gronk, Zeke types. A solid, deep roster gets you to 8-8, playmakers take you to the play-offs.

There's no guarantee in the 1st Round either - Fowler, Bud Dupree, Shaq Thompson, Shaq Lawson, Leonard Floyd, Jarvis Jones, Dee Ford, etc have all been "busts" despite taken in the 1st Round. Outside of Khalil Mack and Vic Beasley (both selected in the Top 10) - every pass rusher drafted in the 1st Round in the last 4 years has been a bust. And in reality, besides those 2, EVERY pass rusher drafted in all rounds of the last 4 years has been a bust (so far).....Labeling a player a bust after 1 or 2 years is premature as I think a couple of those names above can have a decent NFL career - it takes time to develop to be a productive player in the NFL. Part of the reason it's so hard to find pass rushers is because almost all of them played their entire college career going against college Tackles that aren't good enough to be back-ups in the NFL. Only 1 Tackle from the SEC will get drafted in the 1st 3 rounds this year (Cam) and he projects more of a Guard at the NFL level.

Lol...Waller has brick for hands, Wallace is a one trick pony when he's not pouting (or taking himself out of the game), Perriman & Moore still have a lot to learn. They're not exactly Bell/Brown, AJ Green/Eifert, Julio/Freeman and aren't keeping DCs up at night. Marshall is still under contract so banking on him getting cut to fix your offense is not very smart. Just think though, if the Ravens hired someone with your knowledge & expertise, they wouldn't need incompetent people like Harbaugh, Ozzie, etc.

Cleveland has $97 million in cap space and have been looking for a NT since Phil Taylor left. The 49ers also covet a NT and have $80 million in cap space. I'd throw the Skins in there as well - their Run D kept them out of the play-offs and have no interior d-linemen worth mentioning. They have $60 million in cap space.

The scandals - Spygate, Deflategate, opponents headsets not working, fire alarms at hotel, etc. The rule changes - Tuck Rule, Brady rule, Defenseless WR rule, Goal Post rule, reporting eligible rule, etc The whining after plays, the coward kick to Ed Reed, etc Not too mention Brady leaving his pregnant girlfriend for a supermodel.....

Williams is gone in the Top 10. I think Fournette goes to the Panthers and Cook goes to the Colts or the Eagles right before us. That basically leaves Davis, Howard or John Ross for us in the 1st Round. I don't know if you pass up a top notch CB or Pass Rusher for either (Davis maybe but not Howard). I like Ross but we don't need another speed guy. I think this is the perfect draft to trade back in the 1st Round and still get a shutdown corner. Trading back into the 20s could get us another 3rd Round pick that could net us CB Tre'Davious or RT Taylor Morton. JuJu will be gone at the top of Round 2 (49ers or Bears). No way Stevie B drafts Dede after 2 domestic violence arrests. Darboh is more a 3rd or 4th Round guy. I think the Ravens wait until those rounds on a WR like Darboh, Kupp, Zay or Courtland Sutton. Personally, I would love to see the Ravens get Zay or Sutton - that's the type of WR we need.
