We won't draft Dede Westbrook anywhere in the draft, Stacy Conley is a reach as is levon Myers - I also don't personally like pocic that much - he just seems too tall to be an effective center in the NFL Westbrook is the most under rated WR in the draft this year and one of the most under rated players overall....Look at his production and his play making ability / not his 40 time and combine numbers. He could come here and start as our slot WR right now. TBH the thought of Westbrook working the slot with Perriman and Wallace taking the top off is a little exciting. Just curious why you are so sure that the Ravens will not draft him? (I personally think Westbrook reminds me a lot of SSS when he came out of Utah)! Pocic can play both C and G and most analysts have him rated as one of the top C in the draft and some even call him the top. Not sure they are thinking he is too tall . He seems to be exactly the type of guy that Greg Roman likes.... just curious why you don't like him? Coley can be a starting returner right now.... when you pick a WR in the 5th round of the draft... you are not expecting them to come in and start and he wouldn't (probably as a WR) but he has potential to develop into that. He is a very raw but explosive athlete and has good speed. He can be our starter in the return game now (something we have been missing for some time... so a dangerous starter in the return game with potential to become a productive slot WR in the NFL in the 5th round .... I wouldn't call that a reach but I am curious why you would. Myers is compared by CBS Sports to Rick Wagner and Kiper compared him to Villeneuva (sp) of the Steelers.... Both starters and Wagner just became one of the highest paid RT in the NFL. The knock on Myers is that he is slow. The Ravens would probably be looking at moving him inside and ALewis outside. Which would negate the biggest knock against him. He is described as a powerful grinder, who has a mean streak in the run game. Prisco, Kiper, CBS sports and more project him as a possible starter in the NFL... I wouldn't call that a reach in the 6th round? Just curious why you do? Remember that this is the 6th round... most 6th rounders don't even make the team. What is it about these guys that make them a reach that late in the draft? Westbrook has Domestic Violence issues. In case you missed it, Stevie B said that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD THE RAVENS DRAFT THAT KIND OF PLAYER, PERIOD!

Takk is a bust. Major shoulder surgery aside, he may have the speed to pass rush but his weak base and lack f lower body strength is going to make him a serious liability against the run. You don't spend a 1st Round pick on a designated pass rusher that will only play passing downs. Carl Lawson in the 2nd is WAY better value. Use your 1st round pick on a guy that can play all the time - even if it means using the TJ pick to go up and get Barnett.

The only issue I have with Mike Williams is he can either be Kelvin Benjamin or Devin Funchess. One is worth the #16, one is not.

I think that's a legit draft and one I would be happy with. If we come out of this draft filling both holes on the O-line, adding a pass rusher, a WR and a legit CB, I'll be happy. I don't really care who in what round. You could go Williams/Davis/Ross in 1st and Roderick Johnson in the 3rd. Or Barnett in the 1st & Moton in the 2nd. This draft is deep on top talent - 3 rounds worth. I don't think you see the quality in the later rounds like last year, but the Top 3 Rounds are strong. Which is why I'm all for trading TJ for a top 3rd Round pick (IMO, that's a top 40 player in any other draft)

I like your thinking. The only question is will the Panthers take it? They two are rumored to want to move up. The Panthers want to move up in front of Jax for Fournette (who I think the Jags are taking). If they can't make a deal with SF or CHI and Jamal Adams (fall back plan) is gone then I think they move back in the draft for McCaffrey.

Keep this in mind. A Top 10 pick in the 3rd Round + Pick #16 in the 1st Round would move you up into the Top 10 overall in the 1st Round. You want Fournette, you want Foster, you want Barnett, you want Lattimore - you need to be in the Top 10.

I agree. Trade back 7-8 spots, pick up a 3rd or 4th Rounder and draft OT Cam Robinson. He's KO 2.0! Will still have stud CBs available with the 2nd Round pick. You can also package two of those 3rd Rounders to move back up into the 2nd for a pass rusher like Tim Williams or Carl Lawson.

Exactly. And it's not just tied to how much he gets or plays. ALL Free agents are ranked by their contracts. The biggest contracts get the 3rd Round picks (usually only 3-5 of them). So, Jernigan HAS to have a great year AND sign a mega-deal that ranks BETTER than Alshon Jeffery, Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G, Devonte Freeman, Julian Edelman, Tyler Eifert, Jarvis Landry, etc, etc, etc. Ricky Wagner got paid higher than any RT but his contract is only the 8th highest FA contract. IF he has a great year, it would mean a 4th Round pick. If he has an average year, it's a 5th Round at best. Jernigan is nowhere near the level of Wagner. If Jernigan signs a deal exactly like BWill, it's probably only a 4th or 5th Round Comp pick. Any deal less than that, is a 6th Round comp or not at all.

Maybe this quick analysis will make you see why this is much more probably gonna end up being a good move than a bad one And if you're familiar with RSR, you know that Tony Lombardy isn't the guy who will defend everything about the Ravens organization's actions. Sorry bio, I will take a motivated Timmy and his production and a possible 3rd round comp pick next draft over moving up 25 spots in the third round this draft any day. IMHO Lombardi is the one who is wrong. He did not convince me one bit with his argument. And how do you know we would have gotten a "motivated" Jernigan in 2017? And how do you know this "motivation" wouldn't have triggered even more boneheaded penalties? I guess I don't know. I just have a feeling this young man is going to turn it up after seeing what Williams got. He would be a fool not to. My money is on him having a real good year. Maybe so. Jernigan was not really a good fit for a 3-4 defense where DE need to have size & length (think Watt, Tuitt, Wilkerson). Basically Jernigan was limited to backing up the NT position in our defense. Last year, he wasn't effective as a DE especially against the run - which is why he was replaced by Michael Pierce later in the season. Moving to a 4-3 with the Eagles, he can play a DT that rushes the passer and doesn't have to play the run. Probably will have a better year just on volume of playing time, but he's not going to the Pro Bowl. And his stats here are easily replaced by Pierce, Kafusi, Urban, Davis & Henry. The Ravens traded a player that wasn't a good fit and was in his walk year plus a 3rd Round comp pick (basically a 4th Rounder) for a top 3rd Round pick.

When all else fails, see #1 Well they weren't world beaters on offense before he got there, and had largely the same offensive personnel. Can argue they actually have less talent on offense than they have in the past during the Ryan/Julio era. So in the 2 years he was in Atlanta, they were horrible in Year 1 and some of the worst play calling lost them the Super Bowl in Year 2. Like I said, not an "outstanding OC" more like same old, same old. Especially if you factor in his time in Washington & Cleveland as their OC. Nothing special....

Shutdown corner in the 3rd really....And moving up a few spots will really make that difference??? Ravens should be looking for that corner in the 1st 25 is a few spots?? I guess there's no difference between picking 7th and picking 32? And yes, the CB crop is that deep. Sidney Jones, Sutton, Desmond King, Fabian Moreau, Tankersly could all realistically be there at the top of Round 3. Or how about the best C in the draft - Pocic or Elflein may be there. WR - JuJu, Malachi. Now, we can get 2 of them with the 74th & 78th picks. Or, we can package both to move up into the middle of Round 2.

I generally agree that the compensation doesn't quite seem like enough, BUT, I'm not sure we should be assuming a 3rd round comp pick either. Yeah, highly doubt it's even a 4th Rounder. Comp picks are based on the salaries of the free agents (plus a few other small factors). Jernigan would have to have one of the top 5 biggest contracts of the off-season to qualify for a 3rd. That means he would have to sign a deal more than Cousins, Bradford, Alshon Jeffery, Kam Chancellor, Terrelle Pryor, Mike Wallace, Edelman, Lacy, etc, etc. I bet the Eagles don't get much except a 5th or 6th round comp pick, if at all.

Please tell me what that something was because I can't see it, we gave up a player and a pick to move up...and not just any player but a YOUNG STARTER IN A CONTRACT YEAR....only a great pick at 74 can salvage this one and even then the eagles still get something extra....look at it this way eagles gain proven starter and only swap draft positions, in the 3rd no less to get him it's a win for them regardless You think a guy that plays 54% of the time is a starter? Albert McLellan played as many snaps at ILB (with Orr & Mosley) as Jernigan did on the D-Line. Aiken played more often than Jernigan. Jernigan was a rotational guy behind STARTERS BWil & Michael Pierce. We're not going to miss a DLman that averages 1 tackle per game. Plus, have you seen how stacked this draft is? A top pick in the 3rd Round can land a shutdown corner. So, you'd rather have a part-time DLman for 1 year than have a shutdown corner for 4 years?????

I wouldn't mind him at 16. Kid dominated all of the pass rusher in the draft from the SEC. Even handled "generational talent" Myles Garrett for the entire game except for 1 play. Can easily play LG or RT and is the big, nasty mauler that you want. Game tape reminds me of KO. In fact, here's the scouting report from both: KO: "Osemele is an extremely strong, natural run blocker. He is explosive off the line and can visibly jolt defenders back. Once engaged, he can ignite a powerful leg drive to keep defenders at bay. If Osemele can learn to play with consistency and channel his explosiveness, he could be an overwhelming blocker who is dominant at the next level." Cam: "Outstanding, proportional frame with combination of thickness and athleticism. Fires into his target with a forceful pop generating early power and push. Can uproot defender and turn him out of hole as a drive blocker. Able to respond to power with power. Can work seamlessly from block to block in combos. Works and climbs to second level with controlled, stalking footwork. Has initial quickness to pull and land on defenders in space. Athletic enough to slide over and catch inside challenges. Usually works feet into position pre-contact in run game. Good length and gets adequate extension in his punch.

Waller has questionable hands, can't block and runs poor routes - that's not star quality. Uses his size well on jump balls down the sideline and in the red zone but that's about it. Justin Hunter & DGB arguably have more talent with the same size/speed combo and have yet to make a mark in the NFL.
