The question is "Will he be on the field?" Already in Stage 1 of the the NFL drug policy (1 more failed test = 4-6 game suspension). Numerous off-field issues (nightclub killings, hospital incident at combine, diluted drug test, etc), immaturity, bad study habits and injury questions may push him down most teams board. If a guy can't wait 2 hours in line at the hospital, what makes you think he's willing to spend countless hours in the film room in order to live up to that talent? Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Extremely talented but so was Rolando McClain.

The NFL was different 25 years ago. But let's use your example - the Cowboys spent high draft picks on Dez Bryant, Felix Jones, DeMarco Murray, Julius Jones & signed high priced FA like Terrell Owens, etc. It wasn't until they drafted 3 x OL with their 1st Round picks did they actually become a play-off team.

I'm curious what makes you think the Bengals will be better next year after losing their starting LT and RG? This is on top of all of the players they lost in 2016 that led to a 6-1-9 record. They have difference makers. Eifort, AJ Green, Bernard, Atkins on that Dline. A stud can erase faults on your team. The Bengals have playmakers Bernard a difference maker? You do realize Andrew Luck had more rushing yards and Perriman scored as many TDs right? And Eifert has never played a full season. Bernard is coming off a Torn ACL. Eifert had major back surgery. They lost their 2 best O-linemen (Think what the Ravens would be without Stanley & Yanda) and are starting 2 high draft pick busts at LT & RT. Not too mention an old broke down Smith at RG. And the entire ship is being led by an $17 million choke artist QB and a lame duck Coach who's not coming back next year. The Bungles will lose more games this year than the Brownies.....

You do realize that Joe was standing on his own 25 when he threw the ball and Jacoby caught the ball on Denver's 20 yard line, right? And you do realize Joe was scrambling and threw the ball from his own 40 and Jones caught the ball at the 49ers 8? There's only a couple of QBs in the entire NFL that can throw a ball 55 yards in the air in a real game situation (not a BS hail mary).

Round 3. Sid Jones--CB- Wash (He is worth waiting for) Every team thinks they can get him in the third. I think a team that wants him will need to take him in the second. Every team's fans think they can get him in the 3rd Round. Nobody knows what NFL teams think of him now. Medical treatments advance every day, but there has not been a single DB that has come back from an Achilles tear and been close to what they were before it happens. . Dee Milliner is the perfect example - much more talented than Jones but has never been anything other than an average CB at the NFL level after his Achilles injury. 40% of all NFL players that tear their Achilles never play again. No way I'm taking that gamble in the 3rd Round when other top CBs like Teez, Tankersly, Moreau, etc will be there.

Flacco should be 4-0 vs the Pats in their house. If Lee Evans holds on and if the defense could hold onto either of the 14 point leads.

His pro day numbers were almost identical to his combine so we can throw that argument out. Barnett is probably a top 5 talent to 4-3 teams. His burst is not comparable to elite 3-4 OLBs so don't expect him to have a 16 sack season anytime soon. But I do like the fact that we play hybrid and line up in a 4-3 set about 40 percent of the time so Barnett would play both very well. Very similar to Suggs, he'd set the edge as well as anyone and his motor is insane! I'm still a lil on the fence on this guy being a top 10 talent to a 3-4 team but surely wouldn't mind having him as he'd be a perfect long term replacement to Suggs. Except he was battling a hamstring issue at his Pro Day as well. Granted, his numbers wouldn't be THAT much better but at the end of the day, the tape doesn't lie. I think he's a much better fit as a 3-4 OLB (he doesn't have the length to play DE in a 4-3). Having great hands negates that OT punch and allows him to use that rip move (a la Suggs) to create a lane to the QB. I disagree about his "burst". It may not be "elite" but it's as good as some of the best pass rushers currently in the NFL - his 3 cone drill & 20 yard shuttle prove that. He's not Suggs, Mack or Beasley but he's a better prospect than Dee Ford or Shane Ray. Could easily be a Justin Houston/Nick Perry player in the NFL

Barnett's combine numbers were down because he was very, very sick. But he still did all the drills (unlike some of the other players who got sick). He's a stud and I don't think he falls (NFL teams know the story behind the combine numbers - rather than some media "expert" just looking at the stats). Ravens will have to move up if they want him.

Just curious of who the ten wins would be? I'll give my loses to be fair and that is if Ravens split with their 2 division opponents and sweep Browns but that's not a given anymore. Do you know about the other Clemson WRs? Pittsburd has a stud in Bryant, so does Buffalo with Sammy. If you want to under stand the player by hwre he came from and the others who have succeeded, you don't have to look far. i mean, are you guys watching the video posted? Or just running your mouths? You actually have to play on the field to be a "stud".

Freakish athlete?? That is a little much. Outside of his 3 cone his lower body explosion is pedestrian. I'm not a fan of him at all. He isn't strong at all for 285lbs. He isn't athletic enough to play rush olb in a 3-4. He failed miserably at it in college. Didn't like the pick at that time. And he has not grown on me. I don't believe he has the juice to beat NFL tackles. I would like some edge rushers and penetrators in this draft like Tim Williams/Carl Lawson and DJ Jones/Malik McDowell In order to play DE/DL in a 2 gap 3-4 defense, length is much more important than strength. Its why Timmy Jernigan never really did much in 3 years - he was strong but not long - a liability in the run game (which is why he was benched towards the end of last season).

fournette was a workhorse at LSU , those tires don't have many miles left on them. Picking Fournette is round one is a huge mistake for any team. That's not true on any level. Fournette had 616 carries in college. Kenneth Dixon had 802 carries. Ezekiel Elliot had 592 carries. David Johnson had 850 carries Le'Veon Bell had 671 carries Jay Ajayi had 678 carries DeMarco Murray had 759 carries

trade back 3-4 spots and take whoever's left of foster, barnett, davis, williams None of those guys would be available. Barnett is a Top 10 pick if not #4 to the Jags. The Bungels probably take Foster. Buffalo takes Mike Williams. If we don't take Davis at 16, the Titans at 18 or Bucs at 19 will take him.

You're missing a lot. I'm willing to bet, Jernigan alone had more snaps last season than those 3 do for their NFL careers. And yet in 4 games, Jernigan had 1 Tackle and 0 sacks total. 1 TACKLE! I think Kafusi can easily match that - that's 4 tackles for the season.

I'd take either. Williams has better size and a better red zone target. Davis is a better route runner and has better elusiveness. The Ravens need both types of guys. I'd probably take Davis because of the loss of SSS (our best route runner).

Those top 3 would be amazing. Tabor has to go in the 2nd though. He's a first round CB all day. Top 20 player as well. He was hurt at the combine and pro day, plus it's a classic example of people overeacting about times. His tape is all I care about. Depending on how the draft goes, I ideally would like to go Wr and OLB with our first 2 picks in either order. But taking Tabor with our second pick would be very tempting. Before people were losing their minds with combine numbers, some had him going 5th to the Titans. he is that good. I think Foreman goes in the second for sure. People won't be able to get over his weight+the 40 time he put up at his pro day. Corey Davis would be awesome but I think he'll be gone. I actually might prefer Ju Ju over Williams, and he's gonna go about a round later for some reason. Davis then Lawson would be an awesome start, but something similar that I'm digging a little more would be Barnett then Ju Ju While I agree about Tabor's talent, I still think his 40 time and off field issues (especially the substance abuse) will push him down. Maybe some team like the Cowboys take him BUT a couple of those top CBs are going to fall into the top of Round 3 (might be Sutton, Moreau, Jones, Tankersly, Awuzie, etc). Foreman still drops because of his lack of pass catching abilities and some immaturity issues on the field but someone can fall in love with his 40 time. Don't think he's as good as Derrick Henry - who was a 2nd Rounder last year. Barnett is a Top 10 pick (and may go to the Jags at 4) but no way does he fall to us at 16. Still wouldn't mind Ozzie trading that 3rd and going up and getting him. CB, WR & RB always get too much love in mock drafts and it's always DL, Pass Rushers & OL than actually get taken in the top picks (See Conklin, Rankins, Kelly, Decker for 2016). Those guys will fall - good for us. Cleveland, Buffalo & Cincy are the only ones in front of us that I can see taking a WR. Cincy desperately needs LB help (Reuben Foster) or O-line help (Cam). Buffalo probably takes Mike Williams. Will Cleveland take a QB, WR like Davis or TE like Howard (maybe CB Humphrey)? ARZ, Philly & Indy (13,14,15) are loaded at WR.

Completely dependent on another team paying that price. If I were another team, I'd just wait a year, give you nothing, and sign him myself. He's getting a big contract regardless, and so that's factored in to the price tag. If this deal were a year or two ago, we probably could have gotten a 2nd rounder for him. But factored into the cost of the trade is the cost the other team has to pay for the new contract... OR... the risk of not being able to sign him to an extension. Maybe Jernigan's agent told teams that his client wouldn't sign an extension regardless. If so, that certainly drops his trade value a ton, because he's a one year rental to most teams at that point. Exactly what I said. No one is going to give you two high draft picks for a guy everyone knows is leaving the following year. The eagle trade makes sense because they still have a third pick but get timmy. Ravens just jump 25 spots which is golden because they can get a starter caliber player. yes but understand that we lost a starter and a future 3rd or 4th round draft pick (which would probably also be a starter) to move up 25 spots and get a starter? and you can say yes but we will have a better starter and there is no guarantee there and that is in essence assuming that we will can do more for this franchise by moving up in the third round then we can with a later 3rd round pick and another 3rd or 4th rounder in the future. No way Jernigan gets a 3rd round comp pick. Even if he has a Pro Bowl year and signs a BWill contract. The comp picks are handed out based on ALL of the Free Agents that signed in the off-season - biggest contracts/best players first. Guys like Cousins, Stafford, Alshon, Freeman, Pryor, Kam, Edelman, Trumaine Johnson, etc, etc will all sign bigger contracts and thus get the 3rd & 4th Round comp picks. IF and a giant IF, Jernigan were to sign a BWill deal, it would probably only net the Eagles a lower 4th to 5th Round pick. Alex Mack signed a $9 million per year deal, went to the Super Bowl and only netted the Browns a 4th Round Comp pick. Also, the DL Free agent class next year is huge - Poe, Logan, Ansah, Kyle Williams, Ngata, Jaye, Hicks, Kawaan, Sheldon Richardson, Star, Sharrif, Crick, Tuitt, etc, etc. Jernigan might not even be in the Top 10 for DL. Basically any deal less than $10 million per is a 4th Rounder. Anything less than 8 million per is a 5th Rounder. And all this is moot because even if he has success with the Eagles (better fit in their system) it wouldn't matter because he would NOT put up those kind of numbers in Baltimore this year - which would determine what comp pick we would have gotten had we kept him.

How did you feel about Joe when Lee Evans couldn't hang onto the ball in the endzone in the AFC Title Game against the Pats in 2011, when he lead them to great wins in the playoffs and the Ravens captured the ultimate prize, when the D could not hang onto a 14 point lead against the Pats in the playoffs, or when the D couldn't hang on vs the Steelers last year. Wow. That's what I call erosion. You must have loved Chris Redman, Elvis Grbak, and Kyle Boller. Flacco played on some truly stacked teams. That's why he made the Playoffs 6 times and won a SB. We have overpaid for his talent and now we sit in a position where we can't always retain the guys we need to and we can't add the talent we need to on both sides of the ball in Free Agency. January Joe is a better QB, but don't forget who we lost since 2012. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Ray Rice, Haloti Ngata, Boldin, Birk, KO, Pollard, Ellerbe, Corey Graham, Pernell McPhee, (Pitta's not the same), (Suggs is no longer in his prime). We need cap space to reload and stack the Roster. Flacco's greedy contracts take up too much Cap Space. Like $5-6 million is going to make any difference (that's the difference in Joe's contract and choke artist QBs like Cam, Matt Ryan, Dalton, Stafford, Sam Bradford, Brock, etc, etc). But I guess you think that being able to sign Ted Ginn Jr makes all the difference.....lol

Ozzie is really liberal with Steve's money with these contracts. You don't see that with the gold standard team. NE. Actually, you do. Look at the spending NE does every year. Don't try and argue with a Pats fan.......

2007 draft - just goes to show you how much of a gamble the NFL draft is. Weddle was the 37th pick. In those top players, there were 10 studs drafted, 7 solid starters and 20 BUSTS.

Westbrook isn't underrated he is ignored - he's not on our board because of his multiple DV issues in much the same way that devonte fields and Joe Mixon are definitely not on our board either pocic has and will have problems with leverage at the next level due to his height - and while some of the media have him as the top center in the draft, they also have a late 2nd/3rd round grade on him - he's a guy who could have a very steep learning curve - I wouldn't hate the pick completely but I think there'll be better value at other positions when he's on the board i have 7th round/Udfa grades on both coley and Myers with much better developmental options available in the 5th for sure and maybe the 6th as well - someone like switzer or kd canon or darboh or Etta-tawo or Scott or Reynolds could be around in the 5th and Myers to me looks like a guy who will be at best a swing tackle but likely falls out of the league - ironically I disagree that he's slow... for me the best thing about him is his quickness albeit he has unspectacular footwork, relies too often on finesse rather than punching with his good reach and never seems to complete a power block in the run game - he has uneven temperament and a proven inability to maintain consistency - he's ok in the run game but was pretty poor in pass protection except against the bull rush - he had one really good game that i watched against San Diego state so I guess he has some upside to him but he looks to me like a guy more likely to go undrafted and bounce out of the league than someone who makes themselves a career - he looks a much better prospect in a zone scheme which we seem to be moving away from as well (just as the cherry on top) - and the reason he is a reach is because in a deep class like this there are still impact players available in the 6th round or even the 7th Hmmm.... okay thanks for sharing your thoughts.... I have watched Myers play in several games this season and he is a force. I felt that he was on the slow side and a move inside would be realistic at the next level but in my opinion... I think he has the talent to play at the next level. I did see some nastiness and he seems to be a good fit in the Greg Roman system. Myers do wall people off more then drive them off but I felt that has everything to do with the NIU system. Watch him in goal line and short yardage situations. This is where I was most impressed with him. I read Prisco's report on him and Kipers and felt they were seeing some of the same things that I did.... So I was curious what you were seeing. Myers shows some nastiness in his play, looking to knock defenders to the ground when he senses them off-balance, including those consumed with battling the left guard. With just two starting seasons under his belt, Myers potentially has untapped potential still to develop. WEAKNESSES: Frankly, Myers is powerful but slow. He does not possess the footwork required to remain at left tackle in the NFL. He shows only average initial quickness in pass protection. He lumbers off the ball when asked to block on the move, struggling to get to and re-direct at the second level. IN OUR VIEW: Myers possesses the powerful frame and mindset to warrant a mid to late round consideration but his future in the NFL may lie inside at guard rather than tackle, a position he did not play at NIU. COMPARES TO: Rick Wagner, Baltimore Ravens: Though Myers opted to join the Huskies rather than the Badgers, scouts could be reminded of Wagner, a former UW tackle. Myers is projected to slide to guard, where his size and strength are complemented (and his average agility is mitigated). I went back and watched some coaches film on him and I have to agree with steelcity. He does well run blocking and getting to the next level. Has a decent enough kick slide and has the mean/nasty mentality you want. But has zero punch (By comparison, Stanley has one of the best punches I've seen in a very long time). Foot work is very sloppy and doesn't use leverage like he should. Joey Bosa absolutely destroyed him - there were times when he didn't even get his hands on Bosa until he was a step past him. I would say his best fit is a Guard with his ceiling as Vlad Ducasse. I don't know who is doing player comparisons for CBSsports, but the only comparison between him and Wagner is Weight. Half the time, I think these sites only look at height & weight to make their comparison.

You have no clue about what the contract talks between Boldin & the Ravens were. Only your opinion and perception. And I guess that strong memory forgot about the team that gave him his only Super Bowl ring. So, be greedy, take the money and cry & sulk on the sidelines because your 49er team sucks (How honorable is that?).
