  1. GREAT PICK UP ! Ben is one class act and will be great for the locker room and the young TEs. I'll take Ben over any other free agent that was available. Will step in and I'll bet some what duplicate the season he had last year. great pick up, Ozzie. Welcome, Ben.
  2. I agree I think Wallace would be a great fit. He knows the division and should be paired with a strong armed QB. I think his career would some what go back to the days at Pitt. If the price is right GO FOR IT !
  3. I'm actually happy the Ravens didn't spend the money on KO. He's was a great Raven , but that money can be spent and spread out in other areas. The thing is when Monroe is healthy he's played well. A lot of bad luck with injuries, maybe that will change.
  4. I wonder what the Ravens deal was. Like I said it'll be nice to have that paycheck , but the Raiders organization is no where near the Ravens. There is a reason why they call it the black hole ....
  5. Now the question is with KO leaving , who do the Ravens draft now ? Roll the dice with Monroe or draft Stanly ? I say they draft a LT now.
  6. Well hate to see KO leave, but money talks and BS walks. He'll be another player that leaves for a higher payday only to hear nothing from him again. KO good luck in Oakland , its like going from the penthouse to the outhouse.
  7. that's a little brutal to Wright, Cox and Albert. 1 is a pro bowler, Albert is a key special teamer and a good back up and Wright is a good corner . Hardly trash.
  8. I just watched Shareece's presser and I have to say a big welcome back ! He really seems like a good guy and I love when Ozzie gets player that are not only good players , but also good people. Expect big things with Shareece and Jimmy. Nice job Ozzie.
  9. Why would we drop elam right now? It wouldnt Really clear any cap room As hes still on his rookie deal so theres No point. he's coming off a major injury and wasn't playing well and is due 2.1 million would save 1.3 million. Is he really worth 2 million bucks ????
  10. my Mock: Tenn - Tunsil Browns - Wentz Chargers - Buckner Cowboys - Elliot Jags - Ramsey Ravens - Jack
  11. i would be on board with Myles Jack. From what I've seen and read he's great at coverage and that's what they need. Move CJ to Daryl spot and Myles to coverage. 2 young studs manning the middle of the field would be nice.
  12. we need a cover LB, bad.
  13. he's cheap. I'm thinking Elam might be next even though I know Ozzie doesn't like to give up on high draft picks.
  14. Enjoyed watching you play and be a team leader these past years. A true person on and off the field. Good luck to you and your family , Daryl.
  15. i guess everyone is right about Joe's contact. Bottom line is this Ravens win and play into January all good and if they don't then ...............
  16. And if I were Joe or his agent, I'd simply say "go ask somebody else to take the paycut". Go tell Webb, Suggs, Pitta, Monroe, etc. to take a paycut and then we can keep KO around. Why are you asking Joe to do it? Why is it his responsibility, particularly when he's clearly the most valuable? Why do I have to take the paycut so you can spend my money on another bad contract (see Monroe, Pitta, Webb, etc.)? Then Joe should not put out the red meat to fans that all he cares about is winning. He looked straight into the camera when a reporter ask what did you give up in the talks , he smiled and pretty much didn't answer the question. Look if someone is willing to give you the money then take , but don't then play to the fans that all you want to do is win and money comes second that's BS and everyone on this board knows its BS. Stop with the double talk is all I'm saying.
  17. Of course agents are greedy that is a NO BRAINIER, but so are players. So my point is I get tired of players saying that want to win but then sign a big contract knowing it will restrict the team from signing other players or great players like KO. For once I would like to see a player say this deal is fair and I'll make the rest in endorsements or other investments. I'm all for free market, just not double talk.
  18. I always chuckle at the Brady comparisons as if there's really any similarity whatsoever between their situations. I also always chuckle when fans think players should "take less" just so fans can feel better about themselves. Then a players should not say "I want to win" then take a max deal. Can't have it both ways. Either take your money or take a cut its that simple. Players like to have it both ways.
  19. I suspect that was only a joke - I don't think Flacco was given an actual, physical check... that would be a little anachronystic IMHO. Also, suppsoing that Flacco would be bragging - something so totally out of character for him - would IMHO be a stretch. I just go with what's reported. Real funny joke. It's almost as funny of a joke as Tannehill telling the practice squad players their poor.
  20. First, calling an agent greedy is like calling the an air raid siren loud. That's his job: to get his client paid. Second, Flacco gets $3M more than the franchise tag number, so by no stretch is that exorbitant. QBs cost a lot now, that's all. Third, people are allowed to joke and mess around with their friends, and that doesn't make them braggarts. Especially if those friends are also soon to be millionaires themselves. Your missing my whole point. Flacco has the final say on any contract NOT his greedy agent. Remember Flacco 1st time wanted respect and to be the highest paid player. Secondly, Flacco didn;t give up anything for the good of the team. He got himself a better deal and nothing that will truly help the team in the long run. Now Brady does do a lot for the Pats cap. As far as Flacco bragging again you missed my point which Flacco always gave the impression of not being a bragger. Cap and Juice will NEVER see that kind of money. Fullbacks are a thing of the past and Cap can't stay healthy to EVER see that kind of a pay day.
  21. Look I'm all about people getting "theirs" BUT Flacco and his agent got a little greedy IMO. Flacco can't stare into the camera and say he wants to win and them sign a contract that really doesn't do anything for the team. A lot of speculation was saving 7 - 12 million this year 6 isn't all that much relief. I understand that good QB's are very important and rare and most will end up getting paid 20 million plus, but why all the highest paid bonus and highest paid? Plus I lost a little respect for Flacco showing his signing bonus check to Cap and Juice and laughing about it. Thought he was more low key and humble then to do something like that guess I was wrong. One should never brag or show off to those less fortunate.
  22. bosa is a boom or bust type player IMO and Ramsey will be gone. Treadwell or also a boom or bust player. Stanley is the best pure pass protector in the draft.
  23. Stanley is the safe and best pick for them to make. LT is still a major piece to a successful team. Monroe can't stay healthy and Stanley is a mature kid and impressed he went back for his senior year. I would be disappointed if they took Treadwell. He has no speed and the Ravens aren't gonna break in 2 rookie WRs. Stanley is ready now to play. Take Stanley and round 2 should be a stud as well.
  24. Happy for REED! but I'm glad he's not coaching for the Ravens. Its a better fit for him with Rex.
  25. The thing about these deals is that football is the ultimate team sport and without your other teammates you wont have great success. I understand that QBs are the most important player on the team, but I do remember Ravens have a dominate season and winning a super bowl with Dilfer. I know the game has changed, but the one thing that hasn't is that football is a team sport and will always be. Joe do what's right and renegotiate, I know you most likely good with your money. Do the right thing and put ego aside. Cuz I do remember you "wanted to be the highest paid player" after the SB. EGO c'mon man !
