  1. Before season starters:

    QB - Flacco

    RB - Forsett, Tali

    FB - Juice

OL - Monroe, KO, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner

    WR - SSS, Perriman

    TE - ???

    Now..

    Starters for next game:

    QB - Schaub

    RB - Allen, Mostert

    FB - Juice

OL - Hurst, Jensen, Urschel, Yanda, Wagner

    WR - Aiken, Givens

    TE - Crockett

I say.. rest Dumerville, Will Hill, Williams, Yanda - maybe have them play half the game from here on out. Can't risk them getting hurt and not recover in time for camp.

  2. This doesn't look good, but I'm surprised Steve wasn't in more pain on the sidelines. 4 rib fractures will make it incredibly painful to breathe and often-times cause acute dyspnea (shortness of breath). Since he didn't, I'm guessing it's the top ribs that were involved.. In any case, this takes normal people about 5 weeks to heal. Steve? Probably 1.

  3. Yeah, still hoping for a WR in either of the first two rounds. This does give us a bit of flexibility, and will even allow our new guy to ease himself in for the first couple of years, but I still really want us to pick up a long-term guy this year.

I hope we get a WR early in this draft as well.. It's unbelievably stacked and better than last year. Given the production from guys like Keenan Allen (3rd), DeAndre Hopkins (late 1st), Robert Woods (2nd), we'd expect someone like Jordan Matthews and Davante Adams to perform well in their first season

  4. So do people still think we should go WR with our first pick or look to plug up another hole? Personally I would like to grab an OT in the first and look to fill C, SS, G, CB in the later rounds.

All the start-able OTs will be gone by the time we pick. We also don't need a SS. I say we trade down to low 1st, get an extra late 2nd, and grab a FS (Pryor in 1st since Dixon will be gone) and Matthews in the 2nd round along with role players. I'd also love Ebron in the 1st, but that'd leave FS as a major hole unless Omar can step up.

  5. It would make all too much sense for Steve to come here...which is why I dont think he will..

I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to go to a team that can get him bigger numbers. Flacco and the Ravens are not a "Numbers" team. Never have been. Steve might be wanting to show Carolina they were wrong. Going to Denver, Dallas or SD would all suit that cause better.

I would hope its not a money issue bc hes gonna make 3mill from Carolina alone. So any of those teams could scramble up 2-4mill for this season.

I really want Steve. But over the last 24hrs ive talked myself up on Julian Edelman. So if we got one id be happy.

I'd take Steve over Edelman in a heartbeat. He'd help groom our younger guys - including Torrey, he's cheaper, and he isn't a product of the Patriots offensive passing style.

  6. If I were in control..

I'd sign Steve Smith, Dietrich-Smith or Mack, Owen Daniels, and Oher/cap cut RT. Next, draft Clinton-Dix then Jordan Matthews, and Cameron Fleming. The RT position would be a heated battle between Oher (or the FA RT), Wagner, and a rookie.

    LT - Monroe

    LG - Osemele

    C - Mack

    RG - Yanda

    RT - Oher/Wagner

    TE1 - Pitta

    TE2 - Daniels

    WR1 - Torrey

    WR2 - Marlon

    WR3 - Jordan Matthews

    Slot - Steve Smith

Scary when you put all of these pieces together with Kubiak

Mack is the most expensive item, but we have more than enough cap space to play with to get him. The only question is how hard we'd pursue Daryl Smith..

  7. whoever the OC is, he should have free reigns find HIS personnel. Whatever way to be a successful OC.

If Castillo interferes w/ his regime, he should be allowed to find a new lineman coach.

I can't believe we just had to lock in Castillo that fast the moment season was over.

Munchek just got hired by steelers. Couldn't we take a look @ a former HOF lineman w HC exp & 20year of lineman coaching exp?

Castillo will do well in his second season with us, as long as we have an equally capable OC calling plays and game planning to the strength of the offensive line and the RBs.

  8. I like the Detroit guy. He made Reggie Bush a star and Joique Bell a top 15 RB. I discount all of their passing stats because it's just not fair with Calvin. I could probably QB for the Lions and throw to him while completing the pass almost all of the time.

    Hostler needs to be fired.
