I love our head coach, I like our new offensive coordinator (I need to see him official operate before I can love him), I LOVE our GM, I love our owner, but…. I don't love our defensive coordinator. I think Pees is a good guy, but he is only a decent coach. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that really interacts with players and fires them up. He calls a good defensive game, but not great, and he calls plays from the booth. There seems to be no x-factor with Pees. Rex Ryan and Chuck Pagano were both loved by their players and had good relationships with them, plus they were very aggressive play callers, which I loved. Pees seems pretty average in those departments, to me at least. He is not a bad coach, and he does not deserve to get fired, but he is the only coach/management piece of our organization that I wish we could upgrade.
John Harbaugh is a great coach, not because of his career record or football intelligence, but because of his heart. He is a gentle soul, and he genuinely cares for his players/coaches. That is why it is so hard for him to let go of players/coaches who are struggling (Cam Cameron). The players notice this, and that is why we are one of the hardest playing teams, especially in the playoffs. To be a good unit, one must believe in their leader, and this team would die for John. Go Ravens. Go John.
Wow! We got a heck of a deal for Forsett. 3 mil a year for him is a steal after a a pro-bowl year. The Colts gave Frank Gore 4mil a year, and he has A LOT more milage on him. I am very glad that we got this taken care of.
Well our defensive line is going to be incredible this year at least
This is the deepest draft class in ages. Mosley was a projected top 10 pick after the combine. In a normal draft year, he might have gone as high as a top 5 pick. It is his work ethic, and leadership abilities that make me confident that this guy is a great player.
My friend.. Name the last player NE has quote "gone out their way to keep".. Dont bother looking it up cause you wont find anything.. As far as pointing out all the injuries.. you simply solidify the fact that he makes plays.. He was the #1 target in NE last year and tore it up.. In baltimore he'd be the slot.. the #3 target behind Torrey Smith and Dennis Pitta.. So one is to believe that if he can perform the level he did being the "go to guy" irregardless of his QB.. he'd be an ideal fit on a team looking for a #3 target.. Are their cheaper recievers possibly.. are they a better fit for Baltimore.. probably not..There is a reason that Baltimore is a predicted landing spot for Edelman
Steve Smith to answer the second half of your statement.

Gronk.
Edleman had one good year and so many of you are acting like he is going to be the savior. Remember Gronk was hurt, Amendola was hurt, and it was either Edleman or 2 other rookies for Brady to pass to. Acting like he is the truth, but in all honesty we would be better off just drafting a wide receiver in the 2nd round of this deep draft class instead of overpaying for Edleman. If he is that big of a game changer at the level that some of you expect, then the Pats would have gone out of their way to keep him. We have more important holes to fill, and cheaper receivers out there.
Lets not forget about Louis Delmas.. Baltimore would love to have him too and he hasnt moved yet
True, except for the fact that the Dolphins already signed him for a 1-year contract yesterday.
Now that the Saints have signed S Byrd, and the Steelers signed S Mitchell, I believe we will now sign TE Owen Daniels, or WR Steve Smith (hopefully both). Then draft either S Clinton-Dix or S Calvin Pryor in the first round, and maybe bring in a veteran safety at a minimum type amount, such as Champ Bailey, Ed Reed, maybe even Ryan Clark, to guide the young Defensive Backs, and be a safety blanket incase our new Rookie Safety is not completely ready to start. Then draft a young Receiver in the 2nd round, and a young RB in the 3rd.
I am so excited to see who we sign next that I am antsy! I keep checking the site like every 15 minutes. Most excited I have been for an offseason, probably because we had a great start with Monroe, and now we have about 16Mil left for Ozzie to scheme with... So many different options! I can't wait to see who will be the next player getting fitted for his Ravens uniform.
If we are going to get any RB in Free Agency this offseason it has to be Darren Sproles. The amount of check downs Joe Flacco does requires a RB with good hands, and the ability to take off right away; that is Darren Sproles specialty. Rice has lost a step in this department sadly. If Ozzie thinks Sproles will cost to much, or we spend cap money elsewhere, then we are definitely drafting a young RB in the 3rd round.
If we could get WR Steve Smith for a bargain, and TE Owen Daniels for a discount (due to age, and history with Kubiak) that would be AWESOME.
Ozziebot activated. Target: Free Agents. Mission: Destroy other teams hopes.
As Ray Lewis would preach it... HALLELUJAH!
Huge weight off our shoulders! Got a quality franchise LT for a fair price, and another plus is that we didn't waste a 4th and 5th round pick now.

We had probably the best secondary coach in the league with Teryl Austin. He left with Caldwell to be his defensive coordinator, and did a phenomenal job. I always thought losing him was a big factor in Elam declining last season. We had Steve Spagnuolo as our secondary coach last season, and the Giants signed him to be their defensive coordinator. I hope the guy that we promoted to secondary coach is a winner, because that would be crucial with the reviving of our secondary for this season.
