  1. This article is so recycled. It is going to be that way until OTA's start.
  2. Having a solid nickel CB is so important in this league. We did not have one last year, and now we do. If J. Smith can stay somewhat healthy, we are looking very pretty right now.
  3. I hope we only use Arrington in subpackage formations. Aka the slot. Aka the Nickel CB. He is essentially a shut down slot CB, and using him in any other position on defense would hurt us more than help us. As far as special teams go, Arrington is phenomenal at it. When I compare him to Corey Graham there is a reason behind it, because Arrington is a PERFECT replacement for Graham. I can emphasize enough how critical this signing was.
  4. Arrington used to rock the #24 jersey, but when Darrelle Revis came to New England they made Arrington give it to him, since that's Darrelle's favorite #. The #24 jersey is available on our team, and you can 100% have it, and we will never take it from you Kyle.
  5. I heard from Ravens Insider Aaron Wilson that it is a 3-year deal, about 2.5mil a year. About a 7.5 mil deal.
  6. Very good intake. He is ready to step right right away in and play slot for us. HUGE PICK UP. I am very excited about this move.
  7. I thought Arrington might go for a max pay day after winning a ring. Thankfully, I was wrong about that probability. He decided that going to a winning organization that is in the same state where he grew up was more important. Good man, and welcome to the Ravens my friend.
  8. There is no point at all putting Arrington on the outside. Arrington is an expert in the slot, and is not the same player on the outside. I honestly think he is a top 10 slot CB. Just a fun fact, he led the league in interceptions in 2011. That was not that long ago, and he is still only 28 years old.
  9. This will be our 53 man roster CB Depth Chart, RCB: 1. J. Smith 2. R. Melvin 3. T. Walker, LCB: 1. L. Webb 2. A. Jackson, Slot: K. Arrington 2. A. Jackson. We will have six CB's that will make the roster.
  10. Just wondering since they had his jersey framed. Also, very good point. However, I think Ray Lewis and Ed Reed's jerseys will be retired. Maybe Suggs when it is all said and done, but it is hard to say on that one.
  11. I guarantee he chooses #24 too. It will look good on him, and it also happens to be Corey Graham's old number.
  12. Arrington made so much sense. I knew there was a good chance that we would get him. Things are looking good right now Ravens Nation. Now the only question mark we haven't answered yet is who is going to be our KR/PR. We will figure it out in training camp. I said at the end of last season that we were still in rebuilding mode from the SB, and that we were not contenders yet. The Ravens almost proved me wrong against the Pats, but our secondary proved me right in the end. I can officially say that for the first time since our SB team, we are out of rebuilding mode and ready to win the North and be a legitimate contender again!
  13. YES! We have FINALLY found Corey Graham's replacement. Critical move for the Ravens. I think we are now officially rebuilt and Super Bowl contenders now. I love it.
  14. Tricky situation at WR. We kept 6 last year, but we only had 3 TE's. 9 pass catchers. If Pitta decides to play, we will have 4 TE's. So SSS, Perriman, M. Brown, Aiken, and/or Campanero/Waller/Carter/Worthy. Unless we keep 10 pass catchers, which I doubt since we have such a deep team. That is why I kind of want Pitta to just retire. Go with the young TE corp of Gilmore, Williams, and Boyle, and keep 6 WR's instead of 5. Plus we will save money from Pitta's cap hit. There is just too many positives in Pitta retiring at this point.
  15. Did we just retire his number?
  16. He is actually very fast for a ILB. His biggest problem is injuries. His injuries set him back in his development. If he can stay healthy this offseason, we may finally see what he is capable of.
  17. I'd say Arrington is a top 10 slot CB in the league. The only downside about him, and the reason why he doesn't get paid that much, is because he can only really play slot. He is on a Asa Jackson type level when he plays on the wings.
  18. Elam has said that he is in the best shape of his life right now. Coming off a bad season, Elam is going to be playing with a fire in him this year. Starting Kendrick Lewis at SS over Elam will be a good move to start off the season. Now Elam will have to EARN the starting job, which he hasn't really had to do in the past.
  19. I agree that Arrington would fill that CB slot role that we have been weak at since Graham left. Arrington would be a great piece to our secondary. Hold your horses about the blowing out of the Broncos, though. Although I do think our team will be the best team we have had in years, the Broncos are one of the best teams in the league, and we are going into their house. They are coming off a bad loss in the playoffs, and are going to be hungry. I still think we are going to win, but it will be a tough game nonetheless.
  20. Obviously they didn't think Wenning was that guy.
  21. "DeAndre Carter to the house!" has a nice ring to it. But my all time favorite will always be "There goes Jacoby Jones!"
  22. I think we are going to add a CB and secure that question mark. After we do that, the only hole left that I see is the PR/KR position. We lost one of the best in the game at that position, and finding a good replacement will be important. If we can take care of that, then our team would be looking realll nice boys.
  23. The reason why I still have hope in Arthur Brown is that he is very fast and quick on his feet for a LB. Mosley will take over as the head of the ILB once D. Smith goes, and once he does, having an illusive ILB to play alongside Mosley would be a great combo. By illusive I mean a ILB that is great at spying QB's, covering RB's, and covering TE's. Kind of like the Patrick Willis/NaVorro Bowman ILB combo. If Arthur Brown can stay healthy and get it together, he could very well be that guy. Either way, we were fine without him last year. So we can only get better with Brown's current situation.
  24. Most of you guys have given up on Elam. He was only a sophomore last year! When he has a rebound season this year I will gladly remind you guys about how much you doubted him. Kendrick Lewis is here to help Elam grow, and be a solid option at SS until Elam is ready. I like Lewis, and I think he will do well alongside Will Hill, but I still believe Elam is our guy in the long run. Wait and see boys, wait and see.
  25. Arrington is from Maryland, and the idea of going to another winning team should interest him. My only concern is that he just got a ring with the Patriots, and he might just be looking for a max money deal. Either way, Ozzie has back up plans so deep that sometimes he doesn't even know what is up his sleeve.
