  1. You shouldn't get any negs. It's your option. Your post most often are open-minded.
  2. I like most options that have already been discussed previously by some of the most informed posters. So I'd say the best options are to either move back and gather picks to acquire as many highly regarded players that may slide to the projected slots within the move or to take the positional player that has the most significant drop off after the those deemed elite maybe taken. And of the options mentioned that would seemingly be upgrades to this struggling franchise. The questions I'd have about the situation are who's is deemed as a weakness currently on the team and who is going to coach them up to play those positions. I truly believe that the coaches are the weakest link in our efforts to succeed. There is talent on this team but key problems exist weekly. It is aided by the yearly turnover or raids on the coaching staff. There should be clauses inserted into the future contracts that would preclude yearly moves. I.E. Kubiack took his second in command when he departed to Denver. Less loyal coaches to there initial organizations leads to instabilities thru-out many teams. And having said/witnessed that, an organization with high aspirations for it's roster and playoff implications would outwardly request that if the candidate was hired for the position that he/she would waive the option to relocate/accept another organizations offer. Barring a head coaching assignment. If it's a lateral move it should be available to a veto by the teams exec's. The main problems really stem from the lack of continuity in leadership. Mixed signals will allows disrupt the flow.
  3. If by chance the Ravens suffer another injury his year, I'd be in favor of picking up a waiver wire from the Pats. Austin Hill.
  4. Interesting mock. Very interesting.
  5. Givens, Ross and the new guy on the practice squad will exceed expectations is my bet. Urban is someone I have high hopes for. And if Brooks struggles in any capacity technique/health may cause Ozzie to draft about drafting Ramsey or Hargreaves. We all know he can shock us with his thinking/picks. If it's a glaring need then I would think he make an investment that sooner rather later round wise. At least I'm praying he will.
  6. Steve Smith fire equals a Howitzer heavy gun. Aiken's = a barbecue pit. Givens= a flame thrower. Brown= a mini bic lighter.
  7. Yeah I caught that Double up after pushing submit. They definitely smashed them to the point where Henry looked elite.
  8. Thanks for the breakdown. It's still intriguing how the mocks have him creeping up the boards. And not just an individuals/fans mock. I have no problem with your viewpoint. But I think those issues can be addressed with coaching. He may not warrant a top 2 round selection. So I'll look at his available film to see what your saying.
  9. Invest in yourself and don't play anymore. Your wife and kids will thank you for it. Each and everyday. At least now the organization can move forward and do real cap cost work for the upcoming year.
  10. I'm listening.
  11. I believe you and I watched his film. So I understand why. I wouldn't mine myself. I hope you get your wish DF. He reminds me of Honey badger in his methods. Enough said. Cause I was clamoring for him when he came out. Exciting football for us is what I miss. He would definitely provide a spark.
  12. If he plays like a Raven I'm all in. the tape suggest he has an elite skill set.
  13. I like the Ravens approach in going after discarded talent during the season. As it really doesn't cost much for them to evaluate. Will he get some significant playing time ?
  14. I sincerely doubt that Ravens would look at adding another back such Henry as a setback. I understand your frustrations about Ozzie drafting methods but to be in this case, I'd say it would prudent and a steal if he was acquired in the early second round. As you just witnessed they added West today. It's amazing how need trumps talent in first paragraph. BPA would be my thought in the second round. We'll have a bevy of selections as well options in the receiver/lineman category in the latter rounds. I'm not alone in my thinking that Henry is 1st round talent, who may slip into the early/mid second round. The Gurly/Peterson/Jamal Lewis/Forte's of the world don't come along very often. Is it a need yes, Is it a luxury yes. Will he be BPA only time will tell during the draft. But to dismiss his accomplishments thus far and added projected talent to an Offense that oftens struggles out the gate befuddles me. To solely address needs in the first few rounds is what the Browns traditionally do. Not us. You probably don't have to much to worry about as the Cowgirls will probably jump up if not take him in the 1st round.
  15. I'd like him to retire a healthy Raven. I don't look forward to watching him play while holding my breathe,
  16. I don't know about Buck being any better .But if henry slips to us in the second round i'd say take him. Ozzie stills his Bama players. So in this case that's a plus-plus.
  17. I understand your view of the class. And by your comments it would seem logical that we select a cornerback/Free safety early. Of course there are other options so BPA in any of the categories has to the mantra. But I'm hoping they are smart about the selection.
  18. Yeah I've been grown accustomed to at least one bigger back with an elitish style of play. I do like smash mouth North/South runners with a strong ability to occasionally get around the edges. I wouldn't call it clamoring but Henry's abilities are undeniable. That strong game last night against a quality opponent only heightens my visions of a truly dominate player being inserted into our very good rbi's corp. Buck is a very good back, and supplementing them would seem prudent given the surplus of additional picks anticipated. I am guilty of banging the table for receivers to be added and not just late rounders. I've been on that train since Cameron was here.lol
  19. Thanks for the insight, it's much appreciated. On both post replies. I am checking that out before the games come on and during the week.
  20. Okay, I can respect that ! If you go to Youtube it often advances into players that other viewers have watched and many names appear that we tend to forget or have never heard of because of the teams/conference we most frequently watch. I know highlight reels are a small snippet but you can see examples of how they maybe effective or not. I'm looking for file footage on the internet other then YT as well.
  21. Which positions do you see as weak? I'm starting to look at film thats available.
  22. Who's your sleeper? Other then the one's mentioned.
  23. But the two position capabilities would be an asset given our db's in ability to stay healthy. Plug in play type has to be the focal point in the first round. He's shown the ability to grasp the technical aspect of those positions. And do the well. I'm really praying for a real evaluation of our first rounder. Perriman's situation has lessened my confidence. Ozzie's taking a tackle in the top five so I hope we're not in that slot. Detroit is almost certain to tank because of the purge we are witnessing.
  24. It's still early so we will. I'm sure. Dude is playmaker and plays solid coverage.
  25. I'll check him out.Thanks.
