The suspense is too much and we only have 6 hours to go. Personally, Corey Davis, Mike Williams or Derek Barnett would be cool picks with me.
All those picks would be good for me too. Though i don't think Ozzie is leaning towards WR. Ozzie will do the thing he has always done draft the best player available not by need.
This draft is so deep that best player available is the best option. We have several holes so they should just pick the top rated player on our board and our team is sure to get better.
IMO we do not need an edge rusher in the 1st or 2nd round. We got Judon in the 5th last year and that turned out ok. Go Offensive Line, Receiver or CB in the 1st 3 rounds IF the flow of the draft allows us to. Edge rushers will be there later ...
Agreed. Offensive line should be our priority right now. Trade back to the mid 20s and grab one of the top OL. Secure another 3rd round pick and go WR, CB, pass rusher from rounds 2-3
If Flacco is really worth $100,000,000, then we shouldn't need spend a 1st round pick on WR. The QB should be able to manipulate the receivers that he has. Just the fact that we are talking about going WR 1st round shows that there is desperation for a spark on offense. If anything I say go TE.
I guess Drew Brees sucks then too...
Drew Brees makes everyone on his team better. He does not have top WR talent and still puts up 5000k yards a year. Flacco does not.
Even though its not the sexiest pick i wouldn't mind picking up a OT in the first. Secure the line for Joe so he can do his thing. Get back to the ground and pound attack with the play action.

Thank you lol. Some people have a stick up their behind. All i said was that i wanna see a MNF game vs the steelers plain and simple.
All of a sudden im a jerk because of that. Man some peoples children...

Not every team plays on MNF, and those that don't are not going through it and are probably better off for it.
You summed it up perfectly. Its a great idea to YOU.
Only one problem of course... the Ravens aren't seeking your counsel for what is best for them or even what is best for you as a fan, because they don't care.
Great lesson for all the kids posting on these boards. Best to look out for the actual product instead of looking out for whatever it is that you personally want.
Listen to yourself. If my opinion doesn't matter, then why does yours? i am not trying to counsel anybody i just stated my opinion you fool. The team doesnt owe me anything, you are right. And i dont owe them anything as well. I spend quite a bit of money and time invested in this team so if i prefer to have them play a MNF game against a particular team then so be it.
Like i said earlier, like it or not, I would love a MNF game vs the Steelers.
You can keep taking shots at me but at the end of the day there are probably many people on this board that feel the same way.
Just now, budman said:You don't care about a short week because you aren't the one playing. The "I don't care" mantra of another fan that thinks the players owe it to them just because they root for the team. SMH
i don't care because every team has to go through it. its plain and simple. SMH!

I like how you brushed off the main point of them having to play another opponent on a short week following that. Could easily be a road game too.
Sounds like a great idea. Lets play a MNF home game in mid or late season against the Steelers, then play a road game the following week on Sunday afternoon. I'm sure the team will be in great shape for that one, given how great we play on the road typically and how much more energy and health we have the week after a Steelers game. Certainly no concerns there.
Sounds like you're really looking out for what's in the teams best interest on this one. God forbid if you aren't able to watch other teams play (if only there were a device that allowed you to record and watch live events later?).
I really don't care about a short week. Every team goes through it, there isnt a perfect schedule out there for anybody. You play to win the game and move onto the next week.
I would rather play the steelers on MNF since we have an extra day to prepare. That is a much better option then to play another team on MNF and have a short week to play the Steelers on a Sunday. You see it just doesn't matter. You are so caught up on typically this and most people that, blah blah blah.
It sounds like a great idea to me
Wish list:
1. Bengals at home on TNF
2. Week 17 vs the bengals on the road
3. MNF game vs the Steelers at home
4. SNF vs the packers.
5. Front loaded away games and finish the season off with home games.I don't understand why people want to play the Steelers at home on MNF. For starters, most people hate the late games, since you're waiting around all day for it to play then have to stay up til midnight for it to end (on a work night for most people).
Most importantly, unless we have a bye the following week (which is unlikely), I have zero interest in playing another team on a short week after the Steelers game.
Its almost as bad as playing them on a Thursday night after a Sunday game. Hate the idea of only three days off before playing a physical game.
You can speak for yourself, i myself love Monday night games and i am willing to stay up for a late game of this magnitude. With a MNF game that gives us Ravens fans an opportunity to watch other games on Sunday that we would tend to miss because the Ravens are playing. Sorry if 11:30 is past your bedtime buddy.
Wish list:
1. Bengals at home on TNF
2. Week 17 vs the browns on the road
3. MNF game vs the Steelers at home
4. SNF vs the packers.
5. Front loaded away games and finish the season off with home games.
Flacco is just fine, ppl need to get off his back. Lets get him a solid Oline and some weapons and you will be eating your words. We are a spoiled fan base and take things for granted. There are many teams out there that have been through so many QBs since 2008 and were sitting here complaining about Flacco like hes the only issue on the team. Geezzz
If any team offers a 3rd rounder for Jernigan, I'd trade him in a heartbeat. He is widely inconsistent although talented. The Ravens would not resign him next year anyway. The positive is that if they keep him this year he'd play lights out in a contract year. So having him alongside a pumped William, and Pierce next year would produce a dominant defensive front for sure - however short lived.
If he plays lights out, you'd likely get a 3rd round comp pick for him when he walks next year anyway.
I'm not interested in trading him a year early just to move up higher in the same round, especially when there's not really a talent dropoff between like early-mid 3rd round and late 3rd round.
What do you mean by moving up in the same round? Wouldn't we obtain an extra pick in the round and keep our original 3rd round pick? im confused.
I am really impressed with the moves made this year. I think were building a strong team and we'll continue that trend in the draft. It impossible to fill ever hole up with top notch players but if we can shore up the Oline and get a pass rusher of quality then were set for the year. We obvs need another WR but that can be a vet on a minimum contract or through the draft. To me, i dont think adding a WR is that important. We have Wallace and Perriman on the sides and Pitta roaming the middle to move the chains. How many teams out there can say they have a competent player at every position?
Drop Wallace and sign Smith and Aiken. Smith, Perriman, Aiken and camp would be an above avg receiving corp. Throw in our TE group and Flacco has some weapons. Are main concern is getting a solid offensive line to block for Flacco and i guarantee that these guys can get it done.
Smith couldn't get it done when we played New England, what makes you think he can do it now!
That was one bad play and i put more fault on Flacco for throwing that ball in that situation. Smith was productive for us it is the reason why 49ers wanted to pay him 40M. I guarantee if hes back with us he will be close to a 1000 yard receiver next year.
Two things are for sure are going to happen unless a miracle happens. One we will be picking in the top 5 next year. Ozzie and Harbs will e gone as well. Ozzie has lost his mojo giving west a tender of 2 million. We need to rebuild and cut as much as we can. This team needs an over haul starting at the top!!!!
I wonder how many years fans will say that we will be picking in the top 5 until it actually comes true. Its like watching a blind squirrel. Whiff on it every single year.
Heck, two years ago we had half our team on IR including our franchise QB, and we STILL didn't even pick in the top 5.
You guys gotta start trying harder...4-12 next year!!!
you are crazy my friend
The fact that there are no rumors out there about Brandon Williams talking to other teams makes me optimistic that we will resign him.
Torrey Smith was just released. What do you guys think about signing him and releasing Wallace. By the sounds of it we could get Smith for half the cost of Wallace and then we can use that extra cap room for other needs. Maybe use those extra millions or get Garcon or Marshall. Torrey has the same skill set at Wallace so i would not be apposed to it.
Sitting here patiently waiting for the first round of cuts. Its taking longer than expected.
It will be interesting to hear what the competitive offers were when the BW and RW sign somewhere else. I really hope we keep RW because we dont have the depth to replace him at the moment. It will be easier for us to lose BW then RW.
Okkk... I know it is really early but here is a really early draft projection.
1. Jabrill Peppers- S- MIch (ball hawking athlete who changes our defense)
2. TreDavious White- CB- LSU (insert and play)
3. Isaiah Ford- WR- VTech (as much raw talent as anyone in draft. needs some work with his ball skills but he is a great playmaker - what we need in our offense)
3. Joe Mixon-RB- Okla- He a Ray Rice type of player... explosive all purpose type of play maker
4. Devonte Fields- OLB- Louisville- A steal in round 4 and can get after the QB
5. Marques White- CB- FSU- more speed and athleticism in our DBackfield. with Peppers, TreDavious and Marques... our defense gets younger, faster, more athletic and more versatile right now.
6. Zach Banner-OG- USC. the guys is huge and can move fluidly for his size. 6'7 335 pounds and is a mauler. perfect for Greg Romans system... he is the type of OL we are looking to re-vamp our OL. BIg, fast and nasty. He played T in college but the move to G will protect his slower 1st step and not allow people around his outside. With Alex Lewis, Yanda, Mangold and Banner (along with Ronnie Stanley) we will have big and nasty OL!
I like all those picks but i highly doubt we pick up Joe Mixon due to the Domestic Abuse charges. Especially because of Ray Rice incident years back.
So we have 4 starters from last years draft class in Stanley, Lewis, Dixon and Young. We also have solid depth from the class in Pierce, Judon, Henry, and Moore. This does not even include our 2nd or 3rd round picks, which could surprise us next year. By the way our draft went last year i would love to see us be aggressive this year and move up the board to get a sure handed star. I don't want to see us move down the board to accumulate more picks, at the end of the day we can only carry 53 players. Its hard to see any of our 2016 draft class being cut next year so we should make a push up the board in the first or second to get an elite CB and Edge rusher.
Just to beat a dead horse as I am on record for saying there is no way in this world Flacco should have the highest cap hit in the NFL, here is a guy who has finished in the bottom third of qbs in the league for several years in a row. Bisciotti and Ozzie totally blew that contract by giving him an extension and pumping it up even more. The guy is stealing. He is robbing the ravens blind by taking that money. We are talking about almost a million dollars a touchdown that he threw last year. Ozzie needs to sit him down and let him know that he is destroying this teams ability to sign quality players by holding on to that money he doesn't deserve. He knows he isn't that guy and he knows he should be giving some of it back. The Ravens need to let him know that if he chooses not to take a salary cut that they will draft or sign a free agent qb and get him ready to take Joes spot in two years when they can finally afford to cut him. By then he won't be worth much and no one will go out of their way to sign Flacco. When I think of how Ozzie missed on Elam, Arthur Brown, Max Williams, Terrence Cody, etc... I think his biggest mistake as GM by far was the Flacco contract.
A true Flacco Hater
i wouldn't really say its 'hating' when all the facts are there. He hasn't lived up to the contract given to him. At the end of the day its not all on him, we can easily blame the front office for putting the organization in this position. At the end of the day, to hear that Flacco has the highest cap hit in the NFL is just mind boggling.
If Barnett is still on the board when we pick, i would lean towards drafting him over any CB. If we can improve our pass rush, which at times disappeared over the year i think that would help our secondary our substantially. Just look around the league and you can see that most teams that excel in the secondary have a good pass rush. Denver, Oak and Seattle all have good pass rushers and it helps out their secondary tremendously.
I would go for the top rated CB in the second and then a OL in the third. If Ozzie and Co. decide to move down the board like they did last year in the 2nd round i will be pretty upset lol. I want to see some aggressive moves up the board this year.

In ozzie we trust!! at the same time tho if he doesnt nail the picks today i hope he steps down lol. This pick was a stretch because of teh talented CBs left on the board. We have so many other holes to fill and we spent so much money in our secondary already. Help flacco out man and give him some protection or a target on the outside. I still have faith in Ozzie but he needs a solid day today.
