You didn't establish anything. None of the above listed guys are game breakers with the exception of Osemele who is a premier guard. There are some solid players , yes but where are the stars? Where's the Antonio Brown? Where's the game breaking running back? Where's the shutdown corner? Who inspires fear and intimidation on defense? Who is the star player on this team? Who is the big name talent? The one that the Ravens can build marketing campaigns around? There isn't one. There are no guys you can look at and say "when the game is on the line, we can look to this guy to make a play and save the day"

We are drafting some solid guys, but we aren't getting playmakers.

If you don't think Pitta's a game-breaker, you must have missed the SB run. As for star RB's,  we drafted one in 2008, and maybe another in 2016 - give it time. We probably would have taken West in 2014 as well,  if he hadn't been snatched up a few spots before us. I'd call Gillmore a playmaker, too, the way he fights for YAC.

Honestly, most "playmakers" don't become so their rookie year. The draft is somewhat of a crapshoot.

Keenan Reynolds is the definition of playmaker, kind of defeats your argument. He's still on the PS.

    The difference is last season.

Where under lesser coaches, most other teams would have checked out. Heck, most fans here no only checked out, but encouraged our team to do the same thing. Under Harbs leadership the team fought till the very end.

Record aside, last season was quite remarkable. That would be tough to argue.  Leadership like that is rare.  Ya wanna keep that around.

Harbs is safe for a few more years.

Agree 1000%. Amazing some of those same people are already calling for us to tank this season, again.

Ravens would have won all their games, if they weren't making some of the mistakes they've been making. Mosley caught an INT, but then fumbled it just short of endzone, resulting in a touchback. Perriman didn't put both his feet down (though, from what I've read, a lot of it was on the defensive technique applied), Wallace made some drops, Aiken should have caught the ball a week ago. It would have been wins. Dot your I's and cross your T's and you're set. If Ravens keep getting penalties and dropping balls, it doesn't matter if Jesus is the OC.

Yes, the penalties. Penalties are killing us!

Mike Oher was such a sad story because he was such a team player. Have to think the constant herky-jerky pulling back and forth and fan bashing took a toll on him. He's settled in pretty well in Carolina.

But as far as Lewis goes, that'll be pretty amazing if the Ravens find their two T's of the future in the same draft class. I'm really impressed with Lewis and hope playing LG doesn't stunt anything for him.

Totally agree with all of this. The Oher bashing was just ridiculous, considering what we asked him to do.

I'm also impressed with Lewis, he's a kid who's been given a second chance at life, and is playing like he plans to make the most of it.

It makes perfect sense except to those who refuse to remember the past and those are the ones that are condemned to repeat it.

In the last analysis it's fruit from the poisoned tree.

So let's remember the past, when Josh McDaniels went 8-8, then 3-9, before being run out of Denver where a fan petition for his firing gathered over 17,000 signatures,  and spawned the website JoshMcDanielsSucks? That's the guy you want? No thanks.

  6. Best of luck, Justin Forsett with the Lions, and Terrance West on getting your degree.!

Also, prayers and well-wishes to Gary Kubiak for a swift recovery. We still luv ya, traitor  ;)

Again, a reminder - I know Sarah opened the can of worms, but we cannot allow political discussion on this forum. This election has been WAY too polarizing, and while each member is entitled to his/her opinion. this is not the place to discuss it. We are a family, and like all good families, for the sake of unity, no discussion of politics or religion around the dinner table, or on this forum. Thanks for cooperating, I know it's rough.

So you're comparing the 4th overall pick with the 26th?

    How should I start?

4th overall who's has 2 training camps and a full season working with the same QB?  When Perriman has has neither? Let's start there.
