    I'm sorry if I offended you, and I certainly didn't mean to bully. It's just that others have been trying to explain that it's not Flacco's salary that's the problem, it's his current level of play, and they've done a really good job of explaining how the market determines Joe's salary, not the Ravens. I HAVE read this entire thread, and I apologize that my tone came off so smart-alecky.

    What i wanted to say is not exclusive to QB but the whole roster.   You will see that the overall roster has a balanced pay, especially QBs.

    I think what they're making now is way more relevant to this conversation. Joe won the SB on his rookie contract. So did Wilson (and he wasn't the MVP). Nobody expects them to continue on that kind of salary, and if their current teams didn't pay them, somebody else would. That's how market value works.

    It's called Google, and you can do it yourself. But since you're so insistent we do it for you, and you don't want to talk about "losers" who make around $18 mil, here are the last 10 SB winners, and what their current contracts look like:

    2007 Colts: Manning                            $19 mil (the only one no longer in the league, so we'll use his Denver contract)

    2008 Giants: Eli                                    $21 mil

    2009 Steelers: Ben                               $22

    2010 Saints: Brees                               $24

    2011 Packers: Rodgers                        $22

    2012 Giants: Eli                                     $21

    2013 Flacco (rookie)                      now $22

    2014 Seahawks: Wilson(rookie)    now $22   

    2015 P*triots: Br*dy                               $20.5

    2016 Broncos: Manning                        $19

    Like I said, you could have looked this up yourself, but instead you've monopolized the last four pages of this thread when you obviously have noidea what you're talking about, or any concept of market value.

    Nobody's arguing that Flacco isn't having a bad year, or doesn't have room for significant improvement, but arguing about his contract is ridiculous.

We try to be as quick as we can in the game thread, but with so many people online at the same time, we don't see offensive posts before you do, we can only react to them. Please feel free to use the Report button, or PM any of the mods with your concerns, we don't like to see that any more than you do.
