Eyewitnesses report his truck was struck and flipped three or four times, landing on its' side on a bridge - on NFLN right now. He was awake and talking. Injuries won't be confirmed until he gets to the hospital. Happened right in front of the Charlotte Observer building

Great show. Season 2 is really starting to heat up - lots of storylines coming to a head. Totally agree. The writing and the acting on that show is phenomenal - McConaughey is simply amazing. Just finished watching it all the way through for the third time, and every time it just gets better.

I agree. After what happened with Pitta last year, I don't see us spending any of our cap until well into training camp.

I kind of lost all respect for Elway when he swore up and down Tebow was going to remain on the team and then traded him literally two days later. It's an interesting contrast, while our fans are upset we haven't addressed the offense, theirs are upset they're not addressing the defense. I mean Cody Latimer? How many WR's do you need? John's like a greedy kid at Christmas, can't resist taking all the shiny toys while his little brother is getting socks.

Apparently the Broncos were actively trying to trade up to the middle of the first, but weren't willing to pay what teams were asking. I'm sure Ozzie was listening, and probably would have done it if Elway was willing to meet his price.

Yeah, that kind of negotiating your contract in the media was hard enough to tolerate from Ed Reed.

There's a huge difference between "being willing to listen to offers" and actively shopping a player. This inside source also said (in that same post) that Castillo and Jacoby were as good as gone. It's not always about the money, as Jacoby, Pitta and Suggs have recently shown. Torrey has said he wants to be here long-term, that this team is like family to him. And he's got leadership intangibles and ties to the community that the organization highly values, I just can't see them giving that up in exchange for an expensive FA, no matter how good. Makes much more sense to give him one more year to try and up his game, then negotiate a contract. Who knows, maybe that strategy might "backfire" the way it did with Flacco.

Have to agree with you, there. I love Moses - super intelligent (UVa grad - Harvard of the South, right?), well-spoken, versatile (the Ravens love linemen who can play multiple positions), and a leader. What made Matt Birk so special wasn't his size or physicality, it was his brains. We all saw what happened last year when that was missing, and the inability to grasp the complexities of the ZBS is why McKinnie and Oher are gone, and Gino's been replaced.I'll be in heaven if Moses falls to us.

I've wondered that myself, particularly after the Sun article where Cody callled him a genius, the smartest man he'd ever met. There's such a fine line between brilliance and insanity, which doesn't lend itself to team sports - or life, for that matter. you know Ricky used the dope to self-medicate a diagnosed mental illness - until he discovered yoga and meditation. Broke my heart when he retired, he was one of my favorite players.

besides, it's ridiculous to say that Jacoby was out of shape because of DWTS. He himself said (several times) that the stamina and conditioning needed for the dance competition was way harder than football.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, if you were there and how you describe the situation actually happened. I'm just suggesting there might be more to this than what the media's putting out there, and that (as in most situations) the team knows more about this than we do. I trust their judgement, and look forward to watching how this plays out. If this guy's still the same old headcase, no way Harbs is going to let him near the team.
