  1. Haha. Go Marcus
  2. Gotta love Marlon, too. Here's hoping for great things!
  3. Gotta second that. Time for some well-deserved Castillo love. The O-Line now looks like the strongest group on the team going into this season.
  4. yeah, but Joe strikes me as one of those guys who knows what's best for his family isn't just about the money. What's best might be not having to move with three little kids (and planning more!), staying close to home and the grandparents in NJ, and in a place that he loves with a job that he loves. Maybe you just couldn't pay him enough to move to, say... Oakland?
  5. Yeah, apparently under the influence of alcohol and "whippets" It was just a year ago Elway's son was arrested for domestic violence, as well - that one sure got swept under the rug fast, too.
  6. Reminds me of the "Show your Soft Side" campaign to end animal abuse that Torrey Smith and some other Ravens were involved in. Big, strong guys like cops, athletes and punk rockers with kittens and dogs. Their photo gallery is awesome. http://showyoursoftside.org/campaign/
  7. I get what you guys are saying, but this headline just cracked me up: "Gino Gradkowski the Anchor of Denver's Re-vamped O-line "http://sports.yahoo.com/news/broncos-sign-ryan-harris-day-ryan-cladys-injury-143552414--nfl.html
  8. Seriously, how many folks you think we could rally in Baltimore by advertising free beer and pizza? Gotta be more than 100, LOL. Heck, I could round up 100 people up here in Martin City, MT (pop. 500) for free beer and pizza
  9. They just continue to embarrass themselves.
  10. Said he never would have responded except for the personal attacks on his integrity from Yee. LOVE Charley Casserly's take on this: two different PR campaigns being waged using two different strategies - Wells responded with facts, Brady's camp responding with nothing but personal attacks. Anybody who thinks the league is out to get the Pats is seriously delusional - no way they wanted this, it's nothing but a black eye for everybody.
  11. You'd think, at a certain point, his arrogance in the face of this (particularly that smarmy interview a couple days ago), and letting his agent rant on like a fool, would begin to rub even Belicheat the wrong way. At what point do you think his team starts to throw Tommy boy under the bus?
  12. Goodell turned over his cell phone during the RR investigation. It's being speculated that's why he's so salty at Br*dy for refusing. Again, the league probably won't listen to Br*dy's appeal until he turns over the phone.
  13. Can't remember who said this on NFLN today: "Of course it's a big deal, it's THE FOOTBALL!" And loved Charley Casserly saying the Pats got off light, the league easily could have suspended Belicheat for a year whether he knew or not - Sean Payton as the precedent.
  14. Yee's already released a statement saying Br*dy's the victim of a witchunt, plans to appeal, and expects to be fully exonerated. Unfortunately, it's surmised that the league won't hear Br*dy's appeal until he turns over the cell-phone. What a tool.
  15. What Grapple said. we're not talking about sending Br*dy to jail, we're talking suspension from his job. Thus "more probable than not" is the standard used by the NFL for discipline. There's no precedent being set here, that's always been the standard. It's also in the league by-laws that players must cooperate with league investigations, and Br*dy refused to do that. Vincent made it very clear that Br*dy's accomplishments, etc. do not exempt him from this.
  16. I ordinarily don't like Michael Silver, but he really took Brady to task today, for his arrogant laughing on stage the other night, for letting his idiot of an agent go off on paranoid rants, and also for his refusal to cooperate - even pointing out that Goodell turned over his own cell phone during the RR investigation, so didn't take too kindly to Brady's refusal. I agree, 4 games is too short, but' I'm thrilled w/ the loss of draft picks.
  17. Agreed. Discussion of who you would have rather drafted, draftees vs. FA's, and draftees who have or haven't made the Pro Bowl is not only OT to this particular thread, it is disrespectful to both Perriman and those who started this thread welcoming him. Those discussions have been moved to the thread in the Draft Forum. Carry on there. Welcome to Baltimore Breshad! Looking forward to seeing you shine!
  18. If he didn't know, he should have. Most recently, the Falcons lost a draft pick and Rich McKay suspended from the competition committee even though it was determined management had no knowledge of taped crowd noise being pumped in by a "rogue" employee. "as the senior club executive overseeing game operations, (McKay) bears some responsibility for ensuring that team employees comply with league rules." The guy who actually did it got an 8 game suspension, and was fired. http://atlantafalcons.blog.ajc.com/2015/03/30/falcons-fined-350000-lose-5th-round-pick-in-2016/ So, there's your precedent. 8 games, loss of a draft pick, and Kraft booted from the committee. Anything less shows serious favoritism.
  19. Absolutely not. The reason the report is 243 pages is to establish a long-term pattern of probable illegal behavior culminating in one provable act. That is totally relevant. And while that may not lead to harsher punishment, the league has a long history of giving out harsher penalties for lying and refusing to cooperate than for the original offense. That's where Br*dy's arrogance will be his downfall.
  20. Because they sign a contract agreeing to the League's Code of Conduct, and giving them access to that sort of thing. No subpoena necessary. I (and most hospital workers in this country) can be asked to turn over BLOOD for a drug test at any time by my employer, because I agreed to that upfront as a condition of my employment. I can refuse, but I'd also be fired. Same thing with Br*dy. He refused. He should be fired. Not so hard to understand.
  21. I'm so excited! Finally, there's football in the air!
  22. That guy Yee is unbelievable. Since when are sports agents entitled to attorney-client privilege? And questioning the ethics of the league for not giving the Pats a heads-up they were suspected of cheating before trying to catch them? He must really think we're all morons. And Br*dy's a complete idiot for letting this guy speak for him.
  23. Hahaha. Brady's agent now saying how unfair it was for the NFL to not inform the Patriots prior to the NFL championship game that they had been accused of cheating by the Colts - and been given a chance to not get caught. What a tool. Also Judy Battista on NFLN stressing that the phrase "more probable than not" in NO WAY indicates doubt that Brady knew and lied about it - rather, that is the NFL's evidenciary standard for punishment, and the reason it was used so often. And while they may have won the SB fair and square, the report casts doubt on every game they won to get there. *
  24. which is just fine with me. The more the better.
  25. for those of you who missed it earlier in the thread
