It's just that others have been trying to explain that it's not Flacco's salary that's the problem, it's his current level of play, and they've done a really good job of explaining how the market determines Joe's salary, not the Ravens. I HAVE read this entire thread, and I apologize that my tone came off so smart-alecky.

I think what they're making now is way more relevant to this conversation. Joe won the SB on his rookie contract. So did Wilson (and he wasn't the MVP). Nobody expects them to continue on that kind of salary, and if their current teams didn't pay them, somebody else would. That's how market value works.
