  1. At the request of the OP, let's table this discussion, at least for now. Plenty of other threads in which to discuss our defensive woes....
  2. inactive because of injury? coming back from an ACL?
  3. Very interesting. Small school kid, 3 yrs in the league, hasn't seen a lot of playing time. Anybody know anything more?
  4. + 1000 Post of the day.
  5. I don't know, at this stage in their careers, I'd say Carr's the better QB. Peyton looked terrible last week, Carr's looking pretty good today.
  6. OMG I love Gillmore!!!
  7. OMG I love Gillmore!!!
  8. That's what I want to see! Taking shots down the field opening up the run game.
  9. everybody misses once in a while. Daryl gets a pass on that from me.
  10. Smitty don't fumble.
  11. Yeah, cuz Peyton Manning looked soooo much better than Joe last week.....NOT.
  12. Oh, darn. I was hoping Pollard would hand us the game on unsportsmanlike penaltes alone
  13. This came up elsewhere - really, is returning punts inherently more dangerous than their regular job as WR or CB, or is that just a misperception? I mean, those guys get injured all the time just doing what they normally do, it would be interesting to look at some actual statistics.
  14. Because that's the topic of this thread. You want to talk OLine there's another thread for that.
  15. The short answer is Peyton threw a lot of completions towards the sidelines for a gain of 2 - 3 yds, even threw a couple for negative yardage. Those tackles were made by corners. As opposed to last year when our DBs couldn't tackle to save their lives. In which case it's a very good thing.
  16. He's 3 yrs older than Suggs, but was actually drafted the year after Sizzle, so hasn't been playing as long.
  17. No,it's not just you.In fact, I was at the game, and even the Denver fans I went with agreed it should have been called, they were just happy that it wasn't. They knew we had them beat, and they are very nervous about the decline of Manning.
  18. Biggest take-away from Denver: Two very good teams went toe to toe, and it came down to a bad on-call on PI in the endzone. Even the Broncos fans I talked to agreed it should have been called, but if the refs were going to give them the game, they'll take it. More importantly, our team has tremendous potential to grow and improve. Perriman and Monroe will be back, we have a lot of youngsters still learning their roles. Denver, however, is as good as they are going to get. Manning is DONE, stick a fork in him, how long before Kubes is forced to bench him is the only question mark. It was not a reassuring win for the Broncos, trust me, they are nervous. Oh, and I thought Webby looked great. Even had him on DT at times. Jimmy was phenomenal. And for whoever was asking, Brooks was playing on ST.
  19. Just watched Tucker nail an 80 yd FG in warm-ups. Then hit a 70 yarder in the opposite direction.
  20. I'm in Denver and it seems like NFLN played those 7 Tds over and over all day yesterday.
  21. We're glad you're back, ludy. You've got almost 2 days to build your strength back up before kickoff.
  22. And wasn't that restructure really just a way of forcing Peyton to taken pay cut?I believe Elway was trying to force Manning out at that point, and the intention all along was to implement Kubiak's system for Osweiler. Manning forced their hand and now they're stuck trying to run a hybrid. Should get real interesting as the season wears on.
  23. Interesting. Thanks for an unbiased opinion. There are many here in Bmore who would kill for a receiver like DT.
  24. Because he expected Peyton to retire - if not this year than the next. In fact Elway pressured Peyton to retire, forced him to take a substantial pay cut just to keep his job. All that public "Peyton is our guy" is as much baloney as a couple years ago when it was "Tebow is our starter" right up until the day he signed Manning.Elway is a lying snake, and he hired Kubiak for Osweiler.
  25. So Broncos also cut Gino? A month ago he was listed as their starter.
