  1. awww... who says newborns don't smile? congratulations, Brandon and Alyssa!
  2. Justin totally nailed one from 80 during warmups in Denver last year. McManus obviously wasn't paying attention to the competition.
  3. I watched Tucker nail one from 80 yds with my own two eyes during warm-ups in Denver opening day last year. Turned around and nailed another from 70 in the opposite direction. McManus was obviously not paying attention
  4. I'm in, again
  5. Enough is enough! The whole RR saga has been debated ad nauseum elsewhere on this site, do we really need to re-hash it again? Can we please just agree to disagree? as everyone has a different opinion, and none is any more valid than another. He is no longer a Raven, will not be a Raven, we just signed another RB, and both the team and its' fans need to start looking forward, not backwards. The season is upon us, there is so much more to talk about!
  6. If he plays physical and people get hurt, that's a problem.
  7. With all this talk of Smith, Perriman, Wallace and Moore, I think Aiken gets lost in the shuffle. Great to hear he's just quietly grinding and getting the job done. Like Smitty, he truly plays like a Raven - remember him getting right back up after that piledrive? Guts, man, guts. Olwausor sounds like nothing but trouble.
  8. Speaking of directors, Eastwood's gotta be up there. Gran Torino, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby? All great flicks.
  9. Richard Sherman has been extremely outspoken about matters of race, Seahawks do OK. Eagles kept Riley Cooper despite his highly divisive behavior. No, they're not dominant, but have been knocking on the door the last few years.
  10. http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2016/7/18/12210736/ballers-season-2-premiere-provides-cameo-from-baltimore-ravens-terrell-suggs says it was filmed 36 weeks (9 mos.) ago. Not to worry...
  11. fax machine, LOL
  12. Don't let it blow your mind too much. Yes, you definitely are in the minority, and that's a good thing. Most of us have trouble stomaching rooting for scumbags and cheaters, it doesn't matter how good they are at playing games. The narcissism of the rest of your post is what is truly mind-blowing.
  13. Great point. People complaining his percentage was down on kicks of 50+ last year don't realize just that, because of weather, whatever, most other teams wouldn't even try those kicks, so yeah, he might miss a few. Well done, Justin, well done Ravens. Great news!
  14. I don't think he's ever spoken about it, but I would if I was him. NOT one of our finer moments.
  15. Ahhh... Thank you.
  16. Did I read somewhere that they changed the rule so you don't have to DTR a guy on IR right away, you can wait and decide later in the season as long as you only do it once? Or was I dreaming?
  17. Yeah, this has got to really suck for him. I'd say he's had enough to deal with, without people blaming him, like this is his fault. C'mon people.
  18. They do. You can. Contact DirecTV.
  19. No kidding. His was an injury never seen in football, only in violent motor vehicle crashes. That's why people have such a hard time believing it might be true. I'm really pulling for Dennis this year, wouldn't that be something?
  20. Exactly. And in his pressers he never throws anyone under the bus, he always shoulders the responsibility, even when it's not his fault. That's the kind of leadership teammates love. As far as Weddle, his experience as field general was sorely needed, and whether he's lost a step or not is debatable. More to the point, he's played with Shareece, who goes way back with Jimmy, who's played with Webby for years - the chemistry is already there. These guys are amped and excited to be playing together; and there will be no butting heads over whose directing coverages and assignments. Add Frazier to the mix, and we could be looking at something really special this year. Our secondary, which has played so poorly due to lack of both talent and leadership, could end up being the strength of the team, and I can't wait to watch!
  21. Amen. Anybody questioning Joe's leadership or passion clearly didn't watch him hobble back out there on a busted knee to secure a W in a game that was basically meaningless at that point. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.
  22. Congratulations Justin and Amanda on your beautiful baby boy!
  23. So glad to see you coming back for one more year! Offense is gonna be real this year. Eyes on the prize!
  24. What a bummer for the "few guys" we had to cut. Flew all the way out here, passed the physical, and then let go on their first day. Best wishes for all the rookies going forward!
  25. From that exact same article: http://www.dailycamera.com/news/boulder/ci_25390118/alex-lewis-ex-cu-buffs-lineman-sentenced-45 "I have no doubt alcohol was a major factor here," (Boulder District Judge) Butler said. "This was a classic example of too much alcohol, too much testosterone, bad result." Lewis... lost his football scholarship but told Butler he is doing well in school and has acknowledged he has a problem with alcohol. "Day in and day out, I thought about what I did...It scares me to know I had an impact on someone else's life, hard to come to terms with the fact that I had a problem, but I did get help. ... Off the field, I've grown exponentially as a man." That's tough stuff for a 21 yr. old to come to grips with. Another great read about his road back from that night: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11466333/alex-lewis-path-nebraska-cornhuskers-was-anything-smooth "Alex Lewis' darkest moment of the past 16 months did not come in prison. His darkest moment came in a Colorado courtroom as he listened to testimony from the family of Bussey, who suffered after the assault from the effects of a concussion. "It's hard on me, as a person, to hear another family struggling because of you," Lewis said. "Not only that, but a son struggling. I can only imagine my mother crying the same way. I'm sorry for it. I'm growing up, and I'm learning from it." Sometimes really good people do really horrible things under the influence of too much alcohol. Like Ray Rice, he's paid his dues and then some. If the Ravens, looking at the last three years, believe he is sincere, and deserves another chance, then maybe we should, too.
