  1. Me, too. We're going to give Pitta every chance we can to come back.
  2. me, too. either is good.
  3. I doubt Joe plays this week.
  4. He already passed the conditioning test, otherwise he couldn't practice.
  5. No, they don't. What you're saying is theoretically possible, in fact the Ravens have a history of IR'ing young guys with phantom injuries to prevent other teams from snatching them up off the practice squad (can't think of an example off the top of my head, but I know it's been discussed on here, maybe someone who's been around longer can help me out). In order to DTR a guy, he has to have been on IR for at least 6 wks, and then you have to make a cut on the 53 to bring him back. The problem with that is you can't practice while on IR, which is why the PS is so important for developmental players like Ochi and Reynolds. You can prevent PS players from getting poached by activating them to the 53 but then you still have to make a cut elsewhere to make room. Could make for an interesting situation with Elam and Pitta, though, who both seem to be at a huge fork in the road with their careers
  6. You're absolutely right. Under the new rule you can activate any player off of IR, you don't need to DTR a player in advance. The key is, you can only do that once during the season. So theoretically, we could IR BOTH Elam and Pitta, and then wait to see how it shakes out. It would probably mean the end of one of them, though. Still, the new rule gives teams a lot more flexibility.
  7. If anybody's interested in wrestling, my cousin's kid Kyle Snyder is about to go for the gold in the heavyweight class in about an hour. Another Marylander, from Woodbine, youngest ever world champion at the age of 19, just turned 20. Great, great kid, a real phenom. I've got it on USA network, come cheer him on !
  8. That is today at 10 am MST?
  9. I know it's only preseason, but it sure feels good to be winning again ;-)
  10. I'm loving that feeling. He's a dark horse, who's earned it.
  11. That means he's doing his job! You don't even know he's there!
  12. Nice tackle by Jimmy on that play, too.
  13. Wow. That's like something they would call on us.
  14. Forsett and Gilmore back. That's good news.
  15. yeah, Powers just whiffed that.

  17. Mon. eve. works WAY better for me. I work Sat and Sun @ 9pm EST
  18. Yeah, I never really believed that about Suggs. I felt he was just avoiding the limelight, taking care of stuff in his personal life and working his butt off to get back We'd see him when he was 100% ready, and by all accounts he's back to his old self, personality and all. Just like last year when people were speculating on how "subdued" he seemed, it was more about the divorce than his desire to play football. Great to have you back, Sizzle!!!
  19. Great story, Naples, very cool. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Lawson just had shoulder surgery and is likely out for the year. Still, Buffalo's a tough match-up.
