  2. #Bills Tyrod Taylor on playing in Baltimore: "Was frustrating sitting and watching, but I learned so much from Flacco. So much experience." If Tyrod thought it was frustrating here in Baltimore just wait until he has to sit and watch EJ Manuel and the rest of the Bills lose every week.
  3. That's what I've been saying all along. You originally stated that he was the best lineman in the league. They're not the necessarily the same thing.
  4. Except we're not talking about a draft pick here. We're specifically talking about Marshal Yenda, and the last time I checked he is a well known commodity. I never said that we should move him. Your the one who claims he can play LT, and C. not me. You keep saying that you don't care, but this is your 3rd response???
  5. Yep, I'd hate to see either one go.
  6. It wouldn't lengthen his career at all, but there are some people here that believe Yanda is a one-man offensive line, and the best lineman on the planet. He's a great player and all, but I think that's a bit of a stretch.
  7. Well now we know don't we. If Yanda would have been a better alternative then we would have put him there, but they didn't because he wasn't. If you agree with EVERYTHING PFF has to say then you should really think about cutting the cord. Thinking for yourself is actually good for you. Of course you don't have any evidence because it doesn't exist. Saying that Marshal Yanda could play those positions is nothing more than pure speculation.
  8. More silliness. "One potential hangup is Yanda's age. His play merits a richer contract than those of Arizona's Mike Iupati and San Diego's Orlando Franklin, who signed five-year deals for $40 million and $36.5 million, respectively, in March." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000493969/article/can-ravens-afford-to-keep-pro-bowl-og-marshal-yanda You just don't like what a gave you because it wasn't what you wanted. When was the last time that actually worked for you? Second... Maybe third grade??? Mistake? You??? Nooooo. The other "mistake" you made was crowning him as the best lineman in the league. Like I said, best RG and best backup RT in the league, but best lineman? Nah. Not random... Elite, and never because they don't have to and no one in their right mind would expect them to. Who would take their elite LT and play them at Center??? The only thing elite Left Tackles ever have to worry about is playing LT. Unlike RG, the LT position is far to important to go around playing musical chairs with unless something has gone terribly wrong. Interior lineman need to be somewhat versatile, especially if they're going to be considered elite. Elite Left Tackles... Not so much. Elite Left Tackles only need to be consistent, and nobody is interested in moving them around. All that shuffling around is mostly reserved for lesser players at lesser positions.... Like Marshal. Your gonna have to be a little bit nicer because you can scratch LT off the list as well. 3 out of 5 ain't so bad.
  9. A couple more tricks up our sleeve.
  10. Yep he sure is, but I don't happen to agree with EVERYTHING that PFF says. Do you? What evidence do you have that suggests he could play LT, or C at a high level? We wasted an entire season with Gradkowski at center and not once did they consider moving Yanda over to replace him. We've had a few issues at LT since Yanda has been here as well, but I don't recall him ever taking any snaps there either. Here's the scoop on Yanda. Currently the best guard in the league, AND best backup RT in the league. Yanda playing anywhere else would indicate to me that we have officially gone into desperation mode.
  11. If your saying that Yanda has 5 years until we need to start paying attention to his age then K.O. should have at least ten years before we'd have to do the same. You know I didn't say that. Now your just being silly. Age may have been irrelevant in the case of Grubbs & Yanda because they were so close in age. However, in the case of Yanda & K.O. age plays a more significant role because they are more than 5 years apart. Nothing to be fixated on, but certainly a factor that warrants consideration. Grubbs left and we got to keep the better of the two players, but this situation, I think, is a little bit different because of the quality of the player in K.O., AND yes, both players ages. The FO has clearly expressed it's interest in extending Yanda, but if they're unable to do so K.O. is not without his pros. I'd be happy with either one. Any one of the leagues elite left tackles... Take your pick. He's the only guard in the top 100 players, but I already said that he's the best guard. I'll guarantee you that there'll be other lineman ranked higher, and that's by the players who play with and against them. Their opinion carries a little more weight than yours and mine. Not that it makes very much difference but i'm pretty sure you tried to slip in an extra pro bowl on Yanda's resume, and when did he ever take any significant snaps at center?
  12. I see you've got your purple shades on today. Do they have you seeing him playing C, and LT too. I like Yanda as much as anyone else here, but crowning him as the best lineman in the league is just a bit far fetched.
  13. And K.O. is only 24, so based on your very own logic.... Surely he was suggesting two or more contracts back to back. Not a single 8 year contract. Ben Grubbs was 28 years old when we let him walk. Yanda was 27. I'm not so sure that K.O. is Ben Grubbs at all.
  14. Best lineman, or best guard? I'm thinking best guard.
  15. Exactly.
  16. They didn't take away touchdowns. Under the old rules the ball was blown dead as soon as the extra point failed. Now if the defense either blocks the kick, causes a fumble, or intercepts the ball they can return it to their end zone for 2 points. The new rule is an extra point rule change, not a field goal rule change. In the past failed extra point attempt could never be returned for a TD, but now they can be returned for 2 points.
  17. All the more reason to get his deal done.
  18. Early December, and here is one of many many sources. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/24872534/haloti-ngata-thanksgiving-family-fatigue-led-to-adderall-suspension
  19. "But now they’re preparing for their first season in almost a decade without Ngata, their veteran anchor, a six-time Pro Bowler who was traded in March after contract talks failed to produce an extension." Correct me if i'm wrong here, but isn't Ngata a five-time Pro Bowler???
  20. "The run defense held up nicely when Ngata was suspended for the last four games of the 2014 regular season – one of the reasons he was traded – but it still has to prove it can handle the rigors of an entire season without its longtime resident immovable object." But even more importantly our defense has to prove that we can defend against a team with a descent running game. Out of the last four games of the regular season the Texans were the only team with a top ten ranked running game and the only game that we lost. Joe's interceptions didn't help much, but neither did giving up almost 100 yards to Foster either.
  21. "“Right then, I knew he was going to be better than everybody else,” Blackmon said. "Blackman simply told him to get the opposing quarterback. With Za’Darius’ athleticism, strength and quick feet, that wasn’t a problem." Lol... So which is it already?
  22. We should have taken Courtney at #29 and got a fifth year option on him instead of trading out of the first only to take Gradkowski in the fourth round with the pick we got from Minnesota. Oh well... We all know what they say about hindsight....
  23. Yanda turned 30 last September.
  24. Yep... I guess so.
  25. Being the Super Bowl MVP makes him the top Ravens QB.
