I don't get Hensley's tweet. Anyone know what the "PM crowd" is?
Late getting there.
In the current state of the NFL, the words "We aren't going anywhere" when referenced to a football team are HUGE. Mr.Bisciotti does the words owner and professional proud. Look at what he has done and how he treats and regards the city of Baltimore. Quite a far cry from the Irsay days. We definitely have the best owner a team could hope for. Thank You Mr. Bisciotti.
Now if we could only see the same from Peter Angelos.

I think that has been the sticking point with the F.O. We want to play over there but we don't want to give away a home date. I agree with that stance.

The Ravens get healthy I think they could have a major bounce back season. I mean the schedule will be a lot easier , u know they will have a stellar draft and that eye of the tiger. I could see winning the AFC North and going deep in the playoffs. I'm not being a homer either.
I was thinking of agreeing with you but then I looked at Perrimen being a virtual unknown and Wallace has no timing with Flacco (sometimes what looks like it should work just doesn't) and I would for sure take Boldin over Aiken. But... Wallace and Perrimen together with Smith Sr. and Watson Could be the best group of all time. It will be very interesting (and fun to watch) if they all gel.
Let's get that front line shored up! No good having fast receivers if the QB is running for his life all the time.
AGREE! That is what has rarely been brought up. Wallace and Watson moves will mean nothing if Flacco doesn't have the time to throw. Good point.
If we can draft Jack" of all trades" we will okay at ILBer....
I would love this move, but I think he will be gone by 6
Pay the Jets a few bucks to get rid of Upshaw, another "Alabama" underachiever, wasted early round draft pick by Ozzie. Now if only they would take Elam as well.
You must not watch film. Upshaw has done a real good job for us. He is a very underrated player. We can only hope he comes back this year.
Just now, ALPHA said:He's a Texans or Cowboys fan I think, he's shown us love before
I would disagree. Please post some "love" articles for me.

Well, the Ravens secondary wasn't much better with safeties getting beaten constantly but Harrison wanted the Steelers to get Weddle so he is talking through jealousy and the heated rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens. Don't get caught up in what Harrison says as he has always been a Ravens basher. once again, confrontation and an argumentative personality makes money and attracts people.
Big Steeler Fan. He has them winning the Superbowl already this season.
Not all high praise out there. As usual, Elliot Harrison said that all moves were "curious" and did nothing to add what was lacking. Even gave a Power Ranking (means nothing I know) 23. Seems he has never gotten over our Superbowl win 2012. Each week of the playoffs he insisted that it was Ray Lewis's last game. Some people still don't believe.
All we would need to do is trade up 1 spot and that would get us a defensive player that we covet.OR we stay put and grab the Lt that is on all the mocks. Win-Win
What do you all think about bringing back boldin as a Receiver yeah he's getting old but he had such a good chemistry with Joe that I think he would also be a good Receiver especially on 3rd downs or Goal line situations.
Even though our goal is to get younger and faster, I would love Anquan to come back home for 2 or 3 years. He can still play, he has a lot left in the tank.
7 minutes ago, JacktheRaven said:Why not? Joe's had almost as many wins as Brady, since his rookie year. More than Brees. Also more playoff wins, a lot more. That's all that really matters.
Agree. Most people forget that winning is what matters and that's all Flacco has done since he has been in Baltimore. He has owned Brady head to head in the last couple of years. He is definitely a winner. Look around at what is happening with teams scrambling around in free agecy desperate for a starter. We have one. We like ours and he is not going anywhere anytime soon. Go Ravens!!
Hey Bio--Any idea on Ozzie's plan now that we have 14 million utc? More cuts coming that will be more money. What is he thinking of doing? iyo
Yanda is a true Raven and I like the irony in it, even though the restructure essentially still benefited him regardless. Ozzie is clearing cap space thank God. We must be patient until June 1st, that's when our time should be.
well the decent UFA are gone by then, thats why we always end up with Arrington, K.lewis and etc. We should be aggresive this year for a change
That's cherry picking. We also got Vonta Leach, Pollard, Jacoby, McKinnie, Corey Graham, Dumervil, Steve Smith, Justin Forsett and Owen Daniels late - which we may not have been able to do if Ozzie was active in the first wave of free agency.
So, we have good examples and bad ones alike.
nail on head.
I don't like this signing. They wasted valuable cap space that could have went towards signing Pacman,Jerraud Powers or Greg Toler. We already have enough at TE with Gilmore and Williams. The front office should really be looking into pass rushers,CB's and somebody like Mike Wallace who can give us speed on the outside since Perriman is a question mar both health wise and ability wise.
2 is not enough especially with Gilmore just having surgery on both labrums. We needed a TE but not sure why we wouldn't have looked at Davis or Daniels. We did fill a need though.
9 minutes ago, surfdude said:Now the question is with KO leaving , who do the Ravens draft now ? Roll the dice with Monroe or draft Stanly ? I say they draft a LT now.
Not if there is a top defensive pick there at 6 imo. If Bosa, Buckner, Haergraves, or any other Def. pick that they have on top of their board is there then I think we go defense.
1 hour ago, Bob21043 said:I think we stay w/Monroe now (and pray for better/consistent play) and go defense in the first round. Maybe get a tackle in later rounds. will be interesting...
Agree. I actually think that the F.O is thinking that way too. Just hope that Monroe can stay healthy.
I think KO's new team will be announced the first day of free agency - and it won't be the Ravens.
Agree. He is gone and gone quick.
Just now, crazyboutravens said:Everyone continues to say we are tight on the cap. Why? The cap went up 12 million, we saved 6 million on Joe's contract and another 4.6 million releasing
Canty and Smith. Someone please explain.....
Dead money has a lot to do with that.
He most definitely will be picked up by another team, but I wouldn't mind seeing him back here at all. He did a hell of a job for us since he has been here.
Ozzie pretty much hit the nail on the head with the comparisons. Enough said.
6 minutes ago, Edug27 said:So if his contract is 6 years 125 mill overall (20.8 per year), can someone please explain how Flacco is the highest paid player in the NFL when Rodgers is making 22 per year?
3 year extension 66.4 mil.= 22.1.
9 minutes ago, rmcjacket23 said:Gostkowski, who is clearly the best kicker in the league, signed for four years, $17.2M in July ($4.3M a year). Conventional wisdom would say Tucker should come in under that, but the salary cap did rise also, so the cost of players goes up. We pretty much know that being the best at your position doesn't necessarily correlate with being the highest paid (in fact I'd argue the highest paid players at most positions isn't the best player at that position).
Since Crosby just signed for four years, $16.1M (basically right at $4.0M a year), you'd think Tucker will slot somewhere right in between, maybe a bit closer to Gostkowski than Crosby.
In the grand scheme of things, its roughly "semantics" for me. Tucker's ceiling is probably at $4.5M, and his floor is roughly $4M, so we are really haggling over $500K a year at most, and basically $2M over the contract span. To me, that's just not that relevant in terms of being a concerned fan.
As is typical, I'm sure the guaranteed money is the biggest hangup, or maybe he's haggling for a fifth year. Gostkowski got $10.1M guaranteed, so Tucker's probably arguing for that range or maybe a bit more.
I agree the 50+ yard statistics were down, but he also led the league in attempts of that long with 10, and in an ideal world, a kicker would probably only be attempting 4-5 kicks a year from 50+. Inside of 50, including PATs, he was 58/59 last season. Basically as good as it gets.
I see your point but It's hard to justify the label as "1 of the best" when the longest Fg he made last year was 52 yards. Just my opinion but to me, it shouldn't matter how many attempts there are. If you are the best, most should be made.

The "bashers & Haters" will never appreciate Flacco until he is gone. They must not remember the days of:
Eric Zeier
Vinnie Testaverde
Scott Mitchell
Elvis Grbac
Jeff Blake
Tony Banks
Chris Redman
Kyle Boller
Troy Smith
Flacco has done nothing but win since he has gotten here and that's what counts. I will take winning over gaudy stats any day.
