I truly hope Mike Tomlin gets his wish, and tries the Rabona in every game the rest of this season. Heck, I'll take two of them on December 25!

I'd rather see their Punter which would indicate that they haven't scored!

Well I guess the question becomes... Which players did we let walk and have gone on to be as successful or more so with the next team?

Not really because all that matters is how they did on OUR team with our coaches and our schemes. If they fail to perform on another team, that's not saying they would have gone down hill if we paid them and they stayed.

Does anyone know why Stanley did not play after practicing all week? Put Urshel at center Zuttah can't block! Get rid of Castillo . He only had a good OL the year Kubiak was here and that took a while to sort out. Unless there is a big change in game planning by the coaches and execution by the players can we muster more than 2 more wins this year? Also get rid of the white jersey and black pants uniform. We look like a nothing college team and play like it! If we take pride in how we look maybe it will rub off in their play.

I've asked the Stanley question all weekend!! He says he is ready, he practices all week yet inactive on game day and he says it's Harbaugh's decision. Something is awfully weird there.

Loss is on Trestman. Guy is inept. Fire Trestman. Your ramming it down their throats over 100yrds with West. And continuously game in&game out 45 to 50 passes hes going to get Joe killed. You have backups in, who are below avg at best. Holding call after holding call...gave Hurst&Jensson little to no help.

    Pathetic coaching

Running game was working yet on the 3yd line, 3 passes?? SMH The OL  has not been very good since game1. 10 penalties for over 100 yds. SMH.

3-1 is still very good, but wow! it should be 4-0

  5. Although they are 0-2, Jacksonville shouldn't be taken likely. Like the article says they are playing for their seasonal lives here which leaves them even more dangerous. Hopefully we can have the same success in our passing game that the Chargers had. Jax is better than the 2 teams we have played thus far so it will be a test. I still think we win and I think we score at least 27 points. Final 31-17

we ran the ball 24 times accounting for 40% of our offense. I don't mind the ratio as much as the fact that 4 of those plays went for 40 yards and and we averaged just over 2 yards a carry for the remaining 20. That's not gonna do it. our pass protection was barely good enough as Flacco threw the ball away in the pocket 4 times and got sacked another 4. Il give Trestman credit for a great Flacco performance where he connected with 10 WRs and zero INTs but Trestman has to resolve the Oline issues and get a lot more production from the runing game. 13 points when our D plays like that is unacceptable!

Or you could say just like the old days--13 points is all we need when our Defense plays like that. Except back in the day, our defense used to tell a young Flacco to just get us a touchdown and we'll do the rest.

Agree totally that Ws are all that matters ultimately. So...looking ahead to future games, think we got to work out the red zone plays, and maybe it was due to Bills D being strong, as you said, but we put up only 1 TD even tho we had yards overall, just couldn't get the score more than once for 7.

Right. I think people forget just how tough a Rex Ryan Defense really is. They made a mistake, we took advantage of that mistake and got the win. Not to mention our "D" out shined theirs. It was a good ol' punch in the mouth, Raven Win.

I think this maneuvre of Ozzie's will become more and more common in the future. It's a totally logical move exploiting a kind of "loophole" in the rules. There's nothing illegal or malevolent in the move, it hurt no-one and no-one's interests. It only requires a GM and player trusting each other enough.

What Ozzie did was very smart. Funny, because even early yesterday, people were saying how he has "lost it", washed up, has been for a couple of years. The question to them is  how do you like him now?

To be fair for those, like myself felt that Butler, and Brooks earned a spot on the team, is pre-season is the only time we can watch players and judge them....Because the starters hardly play, all we can do is judge the players who play, and Butler pretty much caught everything thrown his way, and Brooks was all over the field, both were consistent through pre-season, and camp....Now we all know if need be we can always snatch Butler off the the Bucs PS if need be, so thats always a good option to have....Brooks i have a feeling will get a shot with the Eagles, and that move i think we might regret, as he could play Safety, CB, ST.....Harbs always preached a more a player can do the better, and Brooks couldn't do much more, than be able to play all those positions....JMO....

I thought Brooks was a gimmie. He played very well especially tackling. I'm reading it was because of special team play. Who knows, but I didn't see him being cut. I also didn't see Hurst staying.

so you're just gonna ignore the part where he's only gaining one net yard over the default starting spot?

we have plenty of people on the roster who can fair catch...we dont need to give Hester a potential $4M and a roster spot to do that.

Well that's the point. He won't just "Fair Catch" or fumble like the rest of them. He also can fill in as a receiver as he did in Atlanta. He wasn't that bad at that either.

Devin Hester is a wasted roster spot.
return TDs are few and far between for him in recent years. Hasnt gotten one on a kick off since 2011, and hes averaging just about 26 yards on kick off returns over the past 4 years which would be great IF a touchback didnt already net you the 25.
and obviously he's not contributing much on offense.
dumb move. and i thought we were over holding a special spot just for a returner. we really need to be.

It's not about TD's. It is about not muffing the kicks and field position. He is 10 times better than anyone on our roster doing it. Makes perfect sense.
